The Hotel Riga is very central at OldTown. The money-for-value is excellent. The double room was spacious (35m2). The hotel staff was very friendly. Information available at the hotel about Riga and its city highlights are excellent. Breakfast was absolutely ok (well, but not exciting). Rooms, wallpaper and electrification still somewhat socialistic.... Windows at night should be kept closed due to traffic noise. Room warm in summer (18.-21.August 2008) |

Location was excellent. We were a party of 9 persons--but there were not enough dishes, glasses, silverware & other supplies necessary for 9 persons. I think this was a major oversight by you & one which greatly affected our ability to have a pleasant stay. Also, the building itself was very run-down & there was the odour of urine in the entranceway to the building. |
