Score from 43 reviews Good
Great location at the city centre and a good breakfast.
Flexible check in and check out schedule
Impossible to sit in chair in front of the work desk in one bed room. There was not enough space. I had to sit on bed while using laptop.
Staff ok. View from restaurant where breakfast was served but breakfast itself - read below :) Location excellent.
Quite worn out room (303), instead of ordered double bed we got room with twin bed - 2 single beds simply put together each with its own bedding. Uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. Poor shower. Breakfast. I could not say the choice was poor but the food was flat. Orange juice was made of hell knows what. It was hard to put together restaurant atmosphere with "sardeles" (only hot "meat" available) though the funny thing was that it was most tasty of all foods :) Ok, and pancakes were good! After all, if you wish, you can leave brakfast with full stomach in this place.
Brilliant service, children friendly, superb value for money.
Nothing important really, but the wi-fi password was no longer active already a few hours before we had to check out, but it might as well have been a technical glitch and not at all a regular or intentional occurrence.
The hotel was very calm and atmospheric - surroundings were beautiful. Breakfast and breakfast room were both great. Hotel felt very safe. The cafe downstairs is cosy and the pizza is good. There aren't a lot of places to eat out in Cesis and the hotel restaurant always seems to be full so best to head downstairs!
My single room (206) was small and tired and in need of refurbishment. (if you're a single traveller probably better to pay the extra and stay in a double room). Stains on carpet in the hallway were off-putting. The TV picture was feint and pillow tiny.
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Our room was spacious, had nice views and was very comfortable, with a big modern bathroom and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and served in a lovely room. The reception staff were welcoming and generally helpful. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to return.
The carpet in the corridor needs changing and some re-decoration is needed; hotel looking a bit worn in places. Couldn't eat in the hotel restaurant on either night we stayed, because it was booked out, though we enjoyed the bar downstairs, which sold good pizzas. The room was big enough to put an extra bed in, but I wasn't able to book just 1 room for the three of us on Booking.com website, which I think should be changed for other families, or perhaps it is worth contacting the hotel directly next time.
Staff was polite
Dirty room Poor Tv services Dirty bathroom
Best location in Cesis
Very service-minded and friendly receptionist! Good breakfast. Very clean hotel. Beautiful view from window.
3 floors, no elevator.
Welcome and kind staff.Large, clean and light bathroom.
Necessary renovation for rooms and interior. Beds very small and uncomfortable, pillow very small.Administrator promised additional pillows but did not bring them. Very noisy in room, can hear all noises from street. This night were special noisy because some drag race drivers circled near hotel.
The location is excellent. The staff is nice The price is right
The room is dull.
Our room was very large as was the bathroom. It was warm.
Breakfast pickings were slim.
Staff was great, Nice room, Location perfect.
Breakfast, bad coffee
Location, you walk around the garden and pond, cross the street and your are infront of Cēcis castle. The hotel is lovely furnished in a style that fits its early 1900'charm. The complimentary breakfast was good and had a variety of food. I will stay here again!
Staff was excellent
A little shabby. Needs new mattresses. Very noisy thin walls. Whoever in management thought it was a good idea to put a teenage basketball team on the top floor should be made to sleep in a room below them for a year.
Bathroom was nice and clean as always. Breakfast was delicious as always. (Although, if you sit on the terrace it won't be easy to stay away from hungry birds and bugs) :) The view facing the May park was beautiful.
I have stayed in this hotel several times before, unfortunately this time I was very disappointed. Our room was located on the top floor, previously I stayed only on the first floor and that was totally different. Our room was really small, as well as the window, also there was no table in the room simply because there was no space for it. One of the walls in the room was scratched and had black stains on it. Also it was impossible to open the curtain because somehow it was fixed in one "closed" position. And last but not least, pillows were very small and uncomfortable. So if you decided to stay at this hotel, I would suggest you to request a room that is not located on the top floor.
super hotel in super locations. friendly personel. tasty berakfast
Good location, view from the room (Park with fountain with black swans). Good breakfast.
A bit too noisy, though still okay. Slightly too expensive.
Good location, everything nearby. Earplugs in the room.
Breakfast of the Nineties ( sausage, over -salted pork ham, gray omelette, just a few cucumbers and tomatoes), no fresh fruits. Overcrowded parking lot. Loud music from the nightclub just opposite until the 4.00 a.m. Very small TV, also from the Nineties.
Strong sewer smell in the bathroom, shower pressure very weak. We made reservation for double room with one bed and with gluten free breakfast but in the room there were two seperate beds and no gluten free bread was available.
Very kind people, very close to the city attractions
Too noisy if the windows are open, very hot if they are closed; no air conditioning
At night there was loud music coming from outside, that spoiled the night's sleep
This hotel have a great location.
The terrace dining is charming and the food was excellent.
