Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, large room
Same breakfast every day and crowded
Ii is a hotel with a fine historic atmosphere and they always arrange my favourite room for me (nr. 117)
The location of this hotel is very good and is within walking distance of many restaurants and most tourist attractions. The room was quiet at night, with a comfortable bed and good shower. The breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. Staff are very helpful.
Nothing really. If you are in Riga for a city-break for a few days this hotel would be hard to beat for price given the facilities
Location, food, bar and lounge areas, staff, spacious rooms
TV in my room didn't work [but this did not matter, I don't watch much TV!]
Great location in the heart of old town, quiet and clean.
Anonymous furniture; our room had a mini - kitchen but there wasn't any pot or a kettle for a cup of coffee
Dining facility at breakfast too small for crowds (tour groups). Staff was not the friendliest. Price per night more than other similar facilities which offered more.
We enjoyed the helpful staff, the location to tourist highlights and the generous breakfast
The first evening there was no heating in rooms, while it was +2 to +10 outside. Too noisy - noise coming from the street. Waited up to 3 pm to check-in, because too big groups had just left. It seems scrambled eggs were not natural, but powder made.
This hotel is a series of houses, once forming a convent, which are linked by cobbled paths to the main one in which is reception, restaurant etc. The buffet breakfast is excellent! Wifi is free and works reasonably. Best of all is its location, minutes from everything in old Riga.
We paid extra for a kitchenette but couldn't use it. You get 2 stoves and a fridge and a coffee machine. But no pans or plates or cutlery or microwave, so all you can do is use the fridge and heat water in the coffee boiler. You'd have to bring or buy all the basics, we wouldn't pay for this again.
location in the city centre, very close to bus and train stations (less than 10 minute walk), the staff spoke English and they were very polite and helpful. The room was clean and breakfast was satisfying and served in a very nicely decorated restaurant right across the street.
the wifi speed needs to be improved
staff attentiveness location and value for money were fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble and it really was a home from home. although near to the cafes and restaurants it was quiet and peacefull
Location was great, breakfast was extensive.
You had to pay extra for parking.
Excellent location. Nice old buildings. Very atmospheric. Nice service. Breakfast quality could be a little better and the pricing seemed random.
The pricing differs greatly in Booking.com. If you get a room for 40-70 euro depending on weekday it is a good value for money. However if they are charging the "normal" price of hundreds of your euros just walk away.
We had a quiet room in the upper floor regarding to inner courtyard.
We did not receive the wake-up call we ask for, very bad as we had to go to the airport! Seats/tables for breakfast are not sufficient for a hotel with so many rooms. Quality of breakfast was not good. The hotel would better offer the rooms without breakfast.
Very good location, on walking distance from the bus stop from the airport, in the old town, lots or shops, restaurants, bike rentals in the surroundings
Breakfast could have used a little more variety over the days
The hotel is in the heart of the city. It's a wonderful location: you get out from the building and you are in front of Saint Peter's Basilica. The breakfast was extraordinary, too: impossible to taste everything! The room was very nice. The parking was watched over night and day
It was very hot, and there wasn't no conditioned air. Our room was at second floor, but there was no lift. At last, the third bed of our room was a cot, absolutely unconfortable.
Excellent location, nice and helpful staff, nice breakfast.
Good place to.visit the center of the old town
Good location in the centre of old city. Price was also reasonable.
Very old, unrenovated. Hardly any light in the room. A stale smell in the room, propably moisture probems.
The breakfast was a buffet style with no changes day to day that was only alright.
I like the quaint location and the comfy bathtub.
Front desk clearly understaffed, no air conditioning, and no elevators. Too much waiting at front desk.
