Very good location, easy to reach the hotel from the bus-station, it takes just 20-30 min walking. Nice design of the hotel, big rooms. Friendly staff.

Wonderful location, great price, a quite escape location in the middle of the city. The room was clean and it felt more like a rented apartment then a hotel- in a good way. Decent size of the room, comfortable bed and a bathtub.

Rather low sound isolation, you could hear each person passing by your door, neighbours talking etc.

Everything was fine. Hotel is located in the centre of Riga, all the attractions in the walking distance. It's 15 minutes drive from the airport (8-10 lats taxi). Breakfast is good but not various.

This hotel is very close to the city, working distance. Nice room, clean and with nice bathtub. Breakfast is good.

Location

Very poor internet service. Ba dangerous for my elderly aunt: bath tub had very high sides, no anti slip mat.

Good food

There's bus No.241 near the hotel to/from the airport - Bust stop is in front of Orthodox Church or near Ladisson Blu Latvia Hotel. Old town is just 10 minutes or so by fooot. Enjoyed exploring the old town and city.

The receptionist wasn't there when I arrived at the hotel for 25 minutes.Even there was the guy who didn't know what to do exactly instead of receptionist. The breakfast is poor.

We stayed at Art Hotel Laine 5 years ago and were very happy to stay again. Clean , very helpful staff and well located in the city at an affordable price.

The staff was very nice and tried to accommodate our requests the best way possible.

Bad wifi reception and a funny smell from the kitchen.

I didnt like to stay at the top floor. Rather from floor 5 and below.

Very good location to downtown restaurants and proximity to the Old Town. The hotel is well-described and excellent value for money, with the room being attractive and clean but not anything exceptional. There are a variety of room options and the quality will no doubt depend on which option is offered. The lift was a relic of the past but functional.

An interesting design.

First of all I appreciated the helpfulness of the staff: I had to print some travel tickets, to use their computer, to take the breakfast earlier than in the schedule; they were very kind. Also, the breakfast was very good and diversified. The location is good, with direct connection to the bus and railway station (206 minibus) and close to the city center and art-nouveau area.

The staff were excellent. The beds firm but strange bedding. Wifi service not very good. Really good location and very good value, especially the breakfast.

Nothing special

The hotel looks much better in the photos rather than in reality. Big minus- elevator. If you come by car- you have to take your luggage up to 3rd floor on foot (Reception on the 3rd floor), elevator than can take you up to 5th floor only, and than again you need to go on foot up to the 7th floor. I was pregnant- so it was awfull. My husband was also not happy to carry all things to 7 floor on foot. Breakfast- rather poor. Sausages looks terribly (thick and almost black).

The location, a ten minute walk from the fabulous old town, is great. I had a room on the top floor, very spacious, with a skylight looking out over the rooftops, and air conditioning. As there are two flights of stairs at the top after the lift stops, a porter took my bags up, which was nice. Comfortable big bed and roomy bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, there was good wifi connection, and staff were friendly and helpful in printing out my boarding card. A very pleasant stay, and the hotel deserves its name as there are colourful paintings everywhere which really jazz up the old-fashioned feel of the place.

I booked a room with free cancellation except for the first night. They in fact charged all four nights to my credit card before I arrived. They apologized, but made no offer of reimbursement of the difference in room rates between no cancellation and free cancellation. However, I was very happy with the room so I would still return there. It is a slight inconvenience that reception is on the third floor and they insist on keys being handed in every time you go out. Makes it tiresome to go back if you forget something.
