We liked everything. Old manor renovated with good taste. Kind staff. Excellent dinner and very rich and tasty breakfest. Beautiful room, good bed. Will return with pleasure.
It was raining. :)
Excellent breakfast, fantastic dinner. Very amicable and attentive staff. The house is real architectural marvel. It is very quiet and noiseless place
During our visit there was the water glitch in plumbing. Sometimes the dinner time is hired with marriage or birthday.
This is a very nice and not to big manor house in the countryside. It is beautifully renovated.
There is not so much to chose between for breakfast and the coffee didn't taste so good.
Shower in the bath need some attention
A tastefully restored mansion, comfortable and very clean, nice staff, excellent breakfast. If you want a quiet atmosphere with a beautiful garden, this is the best choice.
Excellent communication and happy to meet our requirements. Friendly and helpful staff. Period furniture and quality throughout, includding the linens. Restaurant strives to offer modern, French style, cusine. Lovely breakfast. Magnificient wild beach a short drive away.
The room where my parents stayed had no wardrobe.
The manor has 10 rooms only and everything is very nice and settled in the old way, both the structure and furnishings. In addition, the first night we were guests, we were the only ones, so it welcomed us as if we were actually guests of the landlord, and the staff puts us completely at ease. The suite was spacious and well cared for, in full old-fashioned, and the bathroom was large and comfortable. The common areas are very large and usable, as if you were really in the 19th century. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, and the service is friendly and absolutely fine. The restaurant is very classy and good, also very in tune with the rest of the manor. The landscape around the hotel is quiet and classic, with a small lake and a green and leafy expanse. And you can go to Riga or to the beaches very quickly. So, for the time when you're there, you think you live in a bygone era, at least 100 years ago...
A small observation only: the suite is missing a mini-bar ... but this may be wanted, because it did not exist 100 years ago..
The best was the interior and atmosphere.
Service in restaurant has improved since the last time we were there, food was delicious and served in the highest level! Hotel and amenities are superb.
We were badly surprised that we were charged extra ~15 EUR for ordering warm dishes (fried eggs, omelette and pancakes) by ckeck-out. Noone warned us that it will be for extra charge. Previous time we were not charged for that!!! This is not at all matching to any 5* standards not to have any warm dishes included in breakfast for no additional cost. If only continental brekfast is included (they bring you bread, cheese, ham, joghurt, fruits), then this has to be mentioned on booking.com
Service improved in restaurant in comparison with previous time we stayed at hotel.
We were invoiced for warm dishes at breafast by check-out for ~15 EUR. Previous time we didnt have to pay in addition for warm food in breakfast (fried eggs, omelette and pancakes). In my understanding in 5* level facilities warm food is a must at breakfast for no additional charge, especially if it is stated on booking.com that "breakfast is included" in the room rate. If it is only continental breakast - then that must be noted respectively. Otherwise noone warned us by breakfast that by ordering fried eggs and omelette, we will have to pay in addition. This is a bad practise for such a place.
Very nice decorated, real manor. Frendly personal and perfect kitchen.
The freshly restored manor has been arranged with lots of charm, tastefully combining modern lux with castle charm. An extra cherry on the cake was the warm bathroom with loudspeakers. Take your iPod along for a morning shower/evening bath with you favourite music! Service was very pleasant and attentive. Nice dinner.
If you visit in the summer (preferable), think of taking an anti-mosquito liquid; it applies for the whole of Latvia. ;-)
luxurious, amazing room beautiful surroundings staff super helpful
wi-fi sometimes was not working
Very friendly people. Show a lot of empathy and interest. Delicious food...
Cozy and classy - tastefully renovated old manorhouse from 18th century. High quality bathroom amenities and bedsheets / towels. Peaceful location, interesting-enough-library, own greenhouse for herbs and berries. Hammocks in hotel's garden. Staff was able and willing to meet some of our extra wishes (let it be birthday cake, drinks sarved outdoors or late check out).
Slow service (from check in through meals till check out). Rather short wine list. Staff does not speak much English, Russian or German.
There is no other way to describe it but absolutely fantastic. Like a dream place! That was my present to my husband - the long-awaited honeymoon night and it was splendid. We had an amazing design antique room with gorgeous amenities and additions (shower, bath, canopy bed etc), amazing gourmet dinner, horseback riding and ample breakfast. Everything looked 10 times better than in any photoshopped picture you find on internet for other hotels. Absolutely recommend to everyone!
