Surrounded by the forests of rural Eastern Latvia, this former country manor has been turned into a modern and comfortable spa resort. Marcienas Muiza & SPA consists of several buildings, including the landlord's house, which houses bedrooms, a dining room with fireplace and DVD player, a big hall, a brandy room with fireplace and DVD player, a bar, a library, and a billiard table. In summer you can also dine on the glass-covered veranda and on the covered outdoor terrace. The Spa House features pools and treatment rooms, as well as bedrooms. The spa complex combines peace, tranquility, natural medicine and water cures. There are 3 different steam baths, a swimming pool with both warm and cold water, an Arctic hot tub, and much more. The Stone House hosts hostel-type rooms and a conference hall. In addition to baby cots, potties and toys are also available for small children. The excellent restaurant serves traditional Latvian and Baltic German cuisine, including fish and game dishes. For lunch the cooks are happy to prepare the fish you caught in the manor lake, or the mushrooms you picked in the nearby forest. All products come from the manor garden or from surrounding farms. Sights in the vicinity of Marcienas Muiza & SPA include the Orthodox church of Marciena, built in 1860. It is only a 15-minute walk away. The town of Madona is 11 km away and features several restaurants, shops, pubs and markets. We had two very nice rooms in the main guest house and the entire staff service and dining experience was just outstanding. A great place to relax and contemplate in a natural setting with a full spa. A minor comments-- there is a roadway adjacent to the property so occasional roadway noise from a car zipping past was a reminder of the outside world -- but this was a very minor item Make sure to arrange spa treatments in advance since they book up separately from the lodging accomodations.

wonderful hotel in a very nice place, very friendly staff, we enjoyed the dinner (specially their roasted trout and drinks that they made from local berries), perfect for romantic persons, for families with children.

Personāls bija lielisks, ļoti laipns, atsaucīgs, izpalīdzīgs. Pati viesnīca bija lieliska, iekārtota kā īsta pils/muiža ar visu attiecīgo atmosfēru.

Loti patika interjers, vide, daudzie makslas, senie prieksmeti, foto,gleznas, atjaunotas mebeles, saglabatas koka kapnes, kungu maja valdosais romantiskais stils. Loti laipns, atsaucigs personals, gards eediens, jauka apkalposana restorana.Interesantas lietas spa zona - inovacijas ( jeb tiesi otradi? Neparastas lietas) pirtis.Dazadas izklaides iespejas briva daba. Vajadzetu padomat par iespejam paplasinat spa piedavato proceduru/ masazas telpas un personala papildinasanu - labprat izmantotu sis proceduras - pat vairakas- katru dienu, bet iespejas loti ierobezotas.

красивейшая усадьба, переделанная в отличный отель. невероятно отзывчивый персонал. мы приехали поздно вечером, когда ресторан был уже закрыт, но по нашей просьбе тут же принесли в номер огромное блюдо сендвичей, травяной чай и березовый сок, чем очень нас выручили. спа зона небольшая, но очень красивая. необычная механизированная паровая баня. номер был просторный и изысканный.

Ein wunderschön gelegenes, äußerst geschmackvoll und doch bequem renoviertes Herrenhaus. An der Rezeption zu unserer Überraschung eine fast perfekt Deutsch sprechende, äußerst freundliche und hilfsbereite Dame. Abendessen und Frühstücksbuffet vom Feinsten (sieht man am Abend von der für unseren Geschmack etwas zu lauten Live-Musik ab, doch wurde uns sofort ein viel ruhigeres Extrazimmer zur Verfügung gestellt.
