Great location in Old Riga. Near National Opera, 14-plex movie theater and new Department Store, Stockmann's. They honored my "no smoking" request. My room was very clean and functional. Ask for room facing back so as not to hear street noise from trolleys. Need an American News Channel, CNN Int'l or FOX or MSNBC Only selection in English was Euronews which pretty much ignores the USA. At 53Lats, for twin bed room, this is not a cheap place to hang your hat. |

Central location. Facilities were very comfortable, including both our room and the breakfast/dining room. Only downside was the slight noise problem at night from passing traffic and trams. |

The downstairs bar was welcoming and a good place for a drink and a bite to eat. Good location. They cleaned my room late in the day without any fuss. The gym is poor, I wanted to use it but one look and gave up. The sauna only opens after 6pm and the two times I wanted to use it, after 6pm, it was still closed. |

Great staff - enjoyed a non-branded approach i.e. not a French or US chain. Excellent chef and very pleasant low key rooms. A real gem. |

Ease of check-in/check-out. Helpfulness of desk staff. Quietness of room (other reviews suggested noisy). Cleanliness and state of decor of room. Strange seating/table arrangement in Restaurant/Breakfast room (settees and low armchairs with low tables). Stink of smoke in a non-smoking room. |
