Very good location, excellent staff.

That's very friendly and handsome hotel. Best location. All our asks were done and we had tiny room, not big but cosy. Very friendly staff, good cuisine. We were checked in before the booking time and when checked out we were offered luggage room. Breakfast was not rich bit there was everything we normally take. Very tasty and well cooked. Thanks for ladies at reception, cook, barman and concierge.

The hotel had a great location in the old town. Breakfast was excellent and there were plenty of different food to choose from. The breakfast was served in an atmospherical cellar basement. The room and bathroom was really clean. There was no actual window in the room, but a sort of a light installation on the wall. We did not mind the lack of window, after all, the room was for sleeping so we did not spend too much time there. As a young couple, we thought the hotel was a really good value for money.

very small rooms, a double, or twin room only big enough for one person. We booked double, but asked to be moved to twin thinking we would get more space Nooooo ! Breakfast was poor. same things every day.

Perfect location. Rooms are small, but clean and cosy. Nice budget hotel. Breakfast is okay.

Excellent location for tourist attractions, the staff were all friendly and very helpful- nothiong was too much trouble for them. All staff spoke good English. Good sized room with very clean bathroom. Towels changed daily.

Room could have done with an additional ceiling light as room was dimly lit (this seemed to be consistent in cafes and bars too!)

Luxury interiors (corridors, lobbies, ancient style furniture). Employee in a lunch-room. And breakfast (big choice, variaty of meal, including hot meal, and it's quantity even in the end of lunch time)

Our lower price was for room without window (for 1 night it didn't make any disturbance), but other, standard rooms cost far more, twice as much as similar hotels (comparing location, size of the rooms, but not breakfast) in Spain or Portugal. Taking into consideration that Latvia and Riga are not so famous places for tourists as Barcelona or Madrid, it seemed more logic for hotels to reduce prices and make them, at least, comparable with spanish-portuguese ones or even lower. This concerns not only Monte Cristo hotel, but as well other hotels in the old city or in center of Riga.

Very lovely, friendly, pleasant. Especially pancakes for a breakfast.
