Stylish interior design with modern facilities:a well-equipped kitchenette and a washing machine as well. Excellent location, right in the middle of the old town and yet still quiet at night.

Not much but need to note that there is no lift, so a number of flights of stairs to walk up and down as it is on 5th floor. OK for us but not for those who are afraid of climbing .

The place had everything we needed, is lovely and situated in the middle of the old town.

When the outside temperature is high, the apartment gets very hot (it is at the rooftop) A fan was provided, which helped the situation, but it was still hot.

Loved the apartment. Had everything you could possibly need and an excellent location in the old town. They were super helpful and even printed out my bus and ferry tickets for me.

    Nothing!

I agree with most of the other reviewers in their praising comments; the studio-apartment has it all and is in a splendid condition. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Only lacking thing would be a dishwasher...

In July, the noise level in the Old Town can sometimes become a bit annoying late in the evening... Nothing to do with the apartment, though. Hot nights would perhaps require an air-conditioner...

    Excellent location.

No elevator in building, apartment was on fifth floor. Of course it is understandable as apartment is situated in the center of old town.

Large, modern, clean and quiet room on top floor of old city house in pedestrian area of Old Center of Riga. Kitchenette, table and chairs, two TVs, minibar. Secure locks.

Must climb 6 very steep flights of stairs... Reception works by appointment only.

Perfect small apartment for a solo traveller or a couple on their weekend getaway trip. The location in the Old Town of Riga means all the major attractions are 15-min. walk away max. The apartment itself is clean, very light (thanks to the rooftop windows), with modern furnishing, has anything you would expect, from an iron to the toaster. The owners are helpful and super-friendly.

As many are saying, the stairs are a challenge being both narrow and tall, if you have any issues walking, don't think you'd be able to climb upstairs. The lady welcoming you at the apartment does speak only Latvian and Russian, so if you need to discuss anything in English, call the owner.

We spent a week in this apartment at the end of Jan 2014...what a wonderful week it was too. We were greeted as we arrived in our taxi by 'Rudite' who is the cleaner of the apartment and the person who welcomes all of the guests. She was absolutely fantastic...even though she could not speak much English, she managed to communicate everything to us without any problem. She was so welcoming and polite and had a lovely, warm manor about her and always smiling. The finer details were incredible, amongst the many facilities was a washing machine with the detergent provided so it was all ready to use. We weren't totally sure how to use this so when Rudite came to clean our room after a few days she did this for us. The apartment itself was perfect, clean, comfortable plenty of space, and they provided an extra heater so we were never cold. On the contrary, the apartment very soon became very HOT...even with -18c outside as it was while we were there. There was also a fridge-freezer which we found extremely useful. The location is amazing too, we were right in the middle of the old town near the main square. All of the main attractions are within walking distance, none more than a 15 minute walk away. There is a local supermarket called 'Rimi' no more than a 5 minute walk away and a larger version of the same store about 15 minutes walk away at the train station where there is a retail park. Overall, we would recommend this apartment to anybody and we are already planning on returning...probably in the Summer next time to experience the opposite to what we had. We have to recommend a nice bar to try called 'Kiwi' bar which is about a 5 minute walk away...very friendly staff and extremely warm and welcoming. An excellent restaurant to try is 'Salve', again just 5 minute walk away. The place is really nice and cosy and the food itself fantastic. The staff can't do enough for you and are extremely friendly.

OK...as everybody says. the stairs would be a problem for anybody with walking difficulties as there is no lift. However, for us, and for most people this was no problem at all. Although there was a Kettle and Toaster, there was no microwave which would have been handy. Only a minor point though as the cooking hobs were great.

Very nice and friendly owner, the apartment is small but the design and facilities are excellent, it is right in the middle of the Old Town close to many attractions, you can walk from the train or bus stations to the apartment in 10 minutes; everything is new and very clean, the bed is very good, it is quiet and you have everything you need in the kitchen. Many people mention the stairs, honestly it was not a problem at all for us, but older people should take them into account. I would highly recommend this accomodation to individual travellers or couples.

It was a bit cold but the electric heater is available, also you had to wait for some time to get hot water in the shower.

The place is really cosy and has all the comfort you could need for a short city brake. The position is fantastic, you are just in the heart of old town of beautiful Riga. The staff is more then kind and willing to help. Highly recommended!

The only problem for someone could be the 4th of 5th (lost counting) floor with very steep stairs. Just leave those huge trolleys at home and problem is solved.

Stayed the late September. Gorgeous place! Felt so welcome before we even got there! By emails, messages & all the details what needed to know!! Owners explained all (in perfect English) and there were info board as well, also Rudite who gave us the key showed us all & explained (the owners explained all in the mail cos said that she didn’t speak much English, but we managed just well! :) ) Rudite was so lovely as well as the owners, she came to look for us to the corner of the house cos we were lost & late (and with all those 3 weeks stuff from Europark was hard to look the map and it was hot!) and even though she is older she helped us with luggage on the stairs! 5 th floor- what a climb! But the apartment was worth it!! What a place!! Studio on top floor with skylight window, view to the square & over the roofs to the Dome tower. So comfortable bed, kitchenette with all you needed, fridge, a kettle, coffee & cream + welcome candies, also water “carafe” with filter - so you don’t need to buy bottled one. Nice bathroom, clean and bright! Towels, slippers, soap to wash hand etc. Working washing machine with washing agent etc. Perfect for a couple like us! Just right in the Old Town, all the shops, pubs, restaurants, sight-seen etc. near just open the door! No parking but there are many Europarks in town to park at. Wifi worked well and tv was great with multiple channels. There´s also another tv on kitchenette “wall”- never seen a kind before!! You can pay in Euros or Latis, leaving is easy as going there- just let know the time by sms. Hope that the reasonable price stays also next year. Would love to visit Old Town Riga apartment again!! A big thanks to the owners & Rudite for a pleasant stay!

5th floor with thin steps with zillion luggage HUH! (we knew that beforehand though so wasnt surprise)

The apartment is in the perfect central location in old town riga and is very nicely laid out and designed. We loved everything about the flat and would certainly return if we ever go back to Riga. The owner of the flat is very helpful and also allowed us to have a late check out (at a small fee) as the other guest arriving on the same day was coming later in the day. This was very helpful for us as we wanted to take a quick day trip to Jurmala but did not want to carry our bags around with us. Overall this is a great flat with very modern interior design. I would however, not particularly recommend this to older guests who may have problems climbing up steep stairs to the flat. Otherwise, this is a very good choice.

The room/apartment was amazing - incredibly clean, all amenities you could want, 2 TV's (which in such a small space is maybe overkill, but cool all the same). The bed was very comfortable. We were incredibly impressed with it - I've taken photos so that I can use some of the ideas in any apartment I may own one day

The only complaint we have is that it was located up 5 flights of very narrow, very steep stairs which made getting the luggage to and from the room a bit difficult. But there's not much they can do about this and the lady that met us there did help us up. The area is also a bit noisy but I think the whole of Old Town Riga would be the same, especially on a Friday or Saturday

Riga is an interesting town steeped in history, culture and fine people. The apartment compact (attic apartment) and the available space has been well used. Well appointed with some minor deficiencies. Locals were both friendly and assisting. Staff were friendly and helpful with all correspondence promptly replied and informative. The cuisine was great.

As most have said the 66 stairs (my count) to the lovely apartment is a haul. On the upside when you go out, you make sure you take what you need, as you don't want turn around and go back for something minor hahaha. Accommodation: not having a stand for your suitcase means you have to place it upon the bed to un-pack/pack. Hot water was just warm and fluctuated in temperature. Despite all the modern facilities/ conveniences there is no microwave. Only one bedside table and lamp, whilst ok for me, though I can see it as an topical point of discussion for couples especially if both read in bed.

Perfect apartment for those who are not afraid of steep stairs and 5th floor. Everything is exactly as on the photos. Nice roof-view from the windows. The apartment is situated on a narrow street in the heart of Old Riga and designed with love to details and to guests. We really loved this apartment, and I would strongly recommend it to young couples who came to visit the heart of Riga.

Steep stairs may be an issue for someone.

Fantastic apartment design and great location. Really cozy and complements the old town. I would highly recommend to stay there if you would like to experience the full charm of old town.

Steep steps, but for a young couple it was no problem, most like excitement.
