breakfast very nice, friendly staff
Friendly staff, good breakfast.
We stayed in the room on the 1st floor near reception, so it was hard to sleep all night, it seemed that i'm working in the reception :) Shower was not working properly
Staff girls were really nice and helped.
Rather than stuff I didn't enjoy anything. The room smelled of old pipes, it's like all the time like toilet. Second thing - it was dirty. Felt like nobody cleaned there. Hair in the bathroom I discovered next morning. In the morning, I bonded with one girl, and she was complaining about bad internet.
The room was fine
I believe Latvians don't consider hot water to be a necessity? I spent two days in the hotel and had to ask them to put the boiler on every time before taking a shower (which was not particularly convenient in the morning). And every time the staff had to appear surprised by the fact there was no hot water.. Just brilliant.
Comfortable bed Central heating Clean room and bathroom Helpfull staff Few stops to city centre
Good location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, refrigerator in the room, comfortable stay.. Can recommend to everybody who goes to Riga for a weekend!
WiFi sometimes didn't work inside the room
wi-fi didn't work at all, there was no hot water, the room was so small, that we couldn't open the door. moreover, it was never clened, evetything seemed to be so old! I didn't like the breakfasts, there was noting fresh.
the friendliness of staff and comfortably small hotel.
the pillows were too big / high for my personal taste.
Regular hotel. Good working WiFi.
Breakfast buffet plates were refilled very seldom, so in fact one hour till end of breakfast were almost no food.
Very reasonable choice for such money.
There was no hairdryer in bathroom. Probably thay have on reception, but we didn't ask.
I liked it was a bit out of town, but not too far. The breakfast was good enough. We had all we needed - bed, small refrigerator, bathroom with towels. There was always someone at the reception.
The madras on the bed had hard strings that hurt to sleep on (they need a top madras for it). The bed linen was to small for the madras, so it curled into the middle, when you lay on the bed. The heating was way too hot, even though we tried to regulate the radiator. They came in every other day, at pulled the small bed linen to the edges of the madras, but they forgot to give us more toilet paper, so we had to go ask for that ourselves. Out room was by the stairs on the ground level, and we could hear every thing going on due to echo.
Very good value for money deal. Paying 100 Lt for a double room I didn't expect much. The room was very good, proper and very diverse breakfast, nice and helpful staff.
Wide bed, generous breakfeast, cheap price
Bad wifi signal in upper floors, soft bed, our table was broken
Laziness of personnell; irregular of changing towels, providing washing utilities and bedsheets
cosy hotel, room was spacy and clean.
location is too far from old town to walk, poor breakfast
The staff was very professional and kind.
The bedroom needed a small desk. There was plenty of room for a desk. No elevator.
I stayed there twice over two separate weekends. I asked to reserve space at their parking lot. They didn't do that. The first time I got a room right next to the reception desk. It was quite noisy. Furthermore, a TV was screaming past midnight. I came out to ask the receptionist about it, and found that it was, in fact, the receptionist himself who had the TV working. I asked him to lower the volume. He did, but it was still loud enough to hear in my room. Plus the bed was caved in. The second time I came in, they apologized and told me that they had a system crash that morning, due to which they somehow overbooked the hotel, but they actually rebooked me to another hotel next door, same price. Said the other hotel was called "Martin" (I asked to confirm the name.) Following their directions, it took me a while to find that second hotel, because it was actually called "A1", not "Martin". How did A1 become Martin? Incidentally, A1 is much better than Rafael.
A very basic hotel about 20 minute walk from Old Town. Secure parking on site.
Plumbing needs looking at. Drains clogged. Bath towel had holes in it. Breakfast only average and nowhere near enough seating space.
Good and helpful reception staff, simple but good breakfast, nice hotel newly refurbished.
No air con or fan (even if on the hotel description it says it is provided), our room was on a noisy street, poor WIFI connection in the room, toilet wasn't completely flushed when we first got into the room - and the flush was not working properly.
Poor drainage in bowl as well as in shower. Grey bad linnen. Lack of maintenance in room.
Wifi ok, location and price ok
room was not cleaned and in the shower cabin water did not go down correctly
Clean and simple room. Own parking.
Away from the old town.
Safe and cheap parking in the inner yard (5 EUR). Clean and comfortable rooms, reasonable price for the location. The breakfast was OK for the price although coffee machine didn't work.
The rooms were clean although at first we were given the key of the room which wasn't prepared and untidy. The staff solved the problem quickly.
Room needs hard cleaning!
