The location is great, just near all the sightseeings and shops. The staff is really friendly and polite. Most of I liked the room and bathroom, which was really new and comfortable!
I missed curtains on the window. Felt uncomfortable to change with the light on.
Excellent location, very clean toilet and kitchen, supportive and friendly staff
Small dorm rooms that hardly allow for luggage space, beds could be more comfortable
Very kind staff, enough open space in the room, very clean facilities and great location
Fantastic location next to all the bars. Great value for money.
Location is good, but there is no free car parking except the one for 15eur per day.
The room was very small in the third floor, it wasn't comfortable to sleep for 3 people... Moreover shower was in the basement, near sauna, which is not working and full of stuff. I think sleeping must cost not more than 12eur per night for one person.

Position comfort staff
Cool staff, excellent location, different hostel theme
Entrance after hours through a buzzer, totally acceptable though
Red Nose is located in a very centre of Riga, just a few meters away from all the restaurants, bars and next door to a shopping mall. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The building is large and has lots of potential if refurbished. Has a parking lot nearby so very convenient to come by car.
Our room was not in a main block so your experience might be different. First of all, the kitchen was in a main block and the only way to get there was by going to the street and knocking the next door as we did not have the key from the main area since our room was not there. Not a big deal but a small inconvenience. After arriving in the afternoon we all wanted to take a shower. My friend who went there first found that the drain in a shower was clogged with the hair preventing the water from draining so she cleaned it herself as she has noticed that when she was in a middle of showering already. There was no trash can to dispose of the hair so she had to carry it to a toilet facility to throw it out to a bin. Shower room is actually an old ex-sauna so there's plenty of room for a small bin. Maybe if it would be there people would not leave their hair drowning down the drain? The next day we went out for some sightseeing. Once came back in the afternoon we found our room door open with somebody doing some construction work (drilling holes in the walls and fitting new lamps and small shelves) in our room. Our beds and personal belongings were moved away to provide better access to the wall. The lady from the staff that was with the worker apologised and told us that it will take another 30 mins to complete the work. Once we came back an hour later the beds and our stuff were back in place and new lamps were there. I suppose they most probably hired a person for full day to visit all the rooms but ideally this kind of activities should be planned for the time when rooms are unoccupied, or between checkouts and check-ins or at least they could provide a notice in advance so that we would have taken some of our stuff with us. I can't really feel safe in a place where you can find random people doing their stuff in my room.
The building is over 300 years old and very charming. Location is excellent. Quiet little street, good sleep.
There is no elevator. Which for me was no problem, but people with heavy luggage might find this a bit unpleasant.
The hostel is in the city centre.
There is no lift. Our room was at the second floor and the shower on the ground floor. During the night there is a lot of noise coming from the street.
Located on the beautiful street right in the middle of Old Riga. Friendly stuff. Would definitely come back.
Very central, good value. Forgot my wristwatch and they very kindly went out of their way to post it back to me in a different country. Thanks!
I was really satisfied because price, location and equipment were amazing
the fact that toilet and bathroom weren't separated
by city centre all bars
stairs stayed on top floor
Location was perfect
No community rooms, everything really simple, staff was friendly but they didn't had main information
Location is really nice close to railway and coach stations, and just located in the old town. Everything was good and the staff was really friendly.
The kitchen only has two seats, so if more then 2 people want to seat to have something for eat will be a problem.(That moment I was eating by standing~)
charge for towel
Noisy nearby walking street!
Really nice & clean hostel, everything was perfect & great position... :)
Mosquitoes, a lot, but maybe I was unlucky... :D
The staff press us to do the check out without reasons only for 5 minute of delay.
clean, good location
no sitting area, small kitchen,
very clean toilet, very nice room, comfortable beds, nice linens
We stayed in a hostel from the first till the third of may. It was cold and damp in the room, but we were given a small electric battery
