Right on the Daugava waterfront, Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel, Riga features air-conditioned rooms with a cable TV and free Wi-Fi. The hotel has a swimming pool. The Old Town is just across the river.
Score from 825 reviews Very good
Helpful staff, very good 3* breakfast incl. in low 2* price in mid Sept., accommodated our touring bikes, kitchens on each floor.
Very satisfied with room and hotel. For sensitive people, there were a few mosquitoes in room at night and some odour in one of two common bathrooms, didn't affect me at all.
The room was bright and clean, breakfast basic but good.
Old kitchen appliances, in poor condition or don't work. Bathroom needs to keep in good repair order.
quite central, helpful staff, breakfast ok
not nicely furnished, shower not clean,
The location was good - 15min walk to the center. Breakfast - available 8-11 am & they offer many options. The staff was helpful
They charged my credit card immediately after making the reservation (2 months in advance).
The stand out feature is the traditional (well mainly) Latvian breakfast followed friendly and helpful staff. Good eating options within a few minutes walk. Nothing flash but clean and quite.
nice building and good breakfast, manager reacted well after our complaints about the rooms
we had to change rooms three times cause they weren´t clean
Clean room, good location and breakfast
No bathroom in the room, room on the 4th floor without elevator
- value for money - excellent breakfast - safe parking nearby for 5 Euros per day
- difficult to get by car if you don't know Riga traffic rules (only direct or right turns). If you drive along Brivibas iela turn right at Dzirnavu iela then right at Strelnieku iela and then left at Lencu iela.
- Nice Personal
-Too Old Building - Bathroom outside the room and dirtÿ, The shower water was stucked, I think I got "Fusspilz" there
First of all very friendly and helpful personnel, speaking perfect english too. I would recommend you to ask them for some good advice. They are able and willing to tell more about Riga and Latvia, what to do and where to go. Breakfast was good, making a really good start in the morning. Street is not busy at all, you can sleep well in the comfortable bed.
Only a minor drawback: Location is not far from the central area of Riga, but after a couple of walks back and forth in summer heat you might feel this "a bit far". (Rent a bicycle and go on your own in the surroundings!)
minor problems but this was OK for this price
The room was very clean with 2 nice beds--was quite during the night. There were 3 bathrooms in the hall all about 2 to 4 metres away. All kept very clean. The breakfast was included in the price and it was a huge buffet. Kept fully stocked even after 11 o'clock. Location was greadt, even though our street looked a bit run down. The Art Nouveau district about 2 blocks away. Easy 15 min. walk into the city.
The building itself was quite run down--needs a bit of work done on it.
- Awesome breakfast! - Big room - Jugendstil houses next door - Everything is very close by
- communal kitchen seemed a little deserted and not well equipped
Interesting old building with many features retained. Only short distance from old city centre. Excellent wi-fi and internet facilities. Breakfast first class (esp the coffee)
The frontage of the building is forbidding, but be brave and enter - the inside is something of a treasure. Rooms smell musty on arrival but if the weather allows open windows this soon disappears.
The location is good if you are looking for a centrally located hotel with parking. Staff is very helpful and breakfast was good and the guesthouse all in all clean.
The location is little remote and dark if walking back at night time. The room had a carpet that was worn, had a stain, and smelled a bit (some rooms have a wooden floor and seemed lovely).
Personnel is very good, redy to answer any question
The bed is very soft and uncomfortable
No elevator (we were on 4th floor), noisy, location on Google Maps isn't correct (I used Google to find the hotel, aug/2014)
Very conveniently located, good breakfast, clean, simple, but comfortable. Common kitchen was very useful as we were travelling with small children. It was our second stay but definately not the last.
Breakfast Location Helpful Staff
The way the internet connection is organized is very inconvenient - one has to get a new security code every time one closes one's laptop. Also there is no air-conditioning, which is not very good for such a hot summer.
dirty and relatively old. WiFI requires password every 5 mins.
- very good breakfast - quite good location: close to Albert Street, close enough to the Old Town - private parking
The 6th floor was for sure forgotten by God and the maid, if there is any maid working there at all. The dirty towels were lying on the bathroom floor, the toilet has not been cleaned for a long time and I was afraid to use the kitchen. What's more, the room smelt like some old bar, the dust was all over the place and I found some old grape lying on the floor. Only the pictures on the Internet looked good. Overall rating: I would not recommend.
Great location, breakfast is good.
Wi-fi signal is really bad, it's impossible to connect in rooms. Facilities are rather old, kitchen is not so clean and only few tablewares, bed is very old with poor quality, big noise when turning over the body or even sitting on it. Lavatory basin's sewer line has some problems, water on the bathroom's ground every time even with very careful use……at least half of all lamp bulbs were broken……curtains are rather thin against sunlight, window-blinds are broken. Weird smell in rooms. 8th floor with no elevator. Will never go back again.
I liked the large room with not too much clutter - the large empty corner in the rom helped us to open and sort out our bags. The room is facing away from the sun, it wasn't hot in the room like in many other hotels in summer. Breakfast was good and the staff was helpful – we were able to leave the bags in the storage. It was a very nice, peaceful stay. I'd certainly come back. The place seemed to be esp. popular among Germans and French.
Hotel is placed in cool, art nouveau district, Close to the city center, Breakfasts,
All the furnitures and carpets were dirty with all kind of staines on them, Room stinked with the smell of some anti insects detergent
