Probably the location,though I stayed for business but I think it is not so close walk distance from historical centre.but taxi is not expensive to drive you wherever you need
We liked everything from the easy check in to the lovely room which was serviced to a very high standard every day and the food at the restaurant was superb from Breakfast to dinner. The location is great too and a nice 5 minute walk to the old City and tourist places. Thank you for your hospitality:))

Very focussed on Casino, No breakfast included in price Non customer focussed employees, very much focussing on the rules / procedures rather than what a client is looking for (solution to their problem) We hardly saw any other guests, it felt as if deserted..
No buffet for the breakfast
We know this place very well , because sometimes we go there just for enjoy the evening or to the dinner... Also about hotel is the best feedback. We like all in this hotel, interior is rich and splendid, and this is unique hotel in Riga, because no competitors for such kind of hotels, cleanness is perfect, the bed is perfect, as well breakfast is served perfect, You have choice to take breakfast in the room or in the restaurant, and no extra charge, as many other hotels doing... on breakfast is offered amazing huge choice and all is tasty. We love this place in generally, as well hotel is the same - excellent. If You arrive with Your car, the parking is for free. That is also important, and in many hotels have problem with parking in Riga. We will come back here again, when we want to feel luxurious.
In our opinion they could a little take care of corridors, to put some perfumes, as normally in 5 star hotels have-the light perfume smell in lobby, in corridors.... instead of old plastic flowers, could bring nice new design flowers...:) Unfortunately doesn, t anymore work the bar in ground floor. All other questions is excellent and well done.
Not bad hotel, with a excellent value for price
Do not ask to use the swimming pool! It is cold if you want to swim free, it is warm of you want to pay some extra Spa Services. First time I have heard this in more than 20 years of staying in 4/5 stars hotel

The view from window was poor, but it wasn't disappointment because the room was beautiful.

Poor reception. Upon arrival we were told only three "sentences": "sign", "credit card?" and "you can pay tomorrow". Obviously the girl did not know English and asked the concierge for help, who showed us, where and what times breakfast was, but knew nothing about the using times of spa and pool. The pool was one of the reasons I chose the place, since my child likes the water. Never got to use that :( When eating the breakfast, it turned out that it was not included in the package, had to pay extra. Ofcourse, my fault also for not reading through the booking confirmation, but usually breakfast is included in hotel and these kinds of things are told at the reception. So in conclusion: the hotel was super, but did not get to use the amenities, would not recommend.

The staff was not polite. You couldn't smoke nowhere,but in casino area. We order there 3 glasses of wine and we paid 40 euros.
I did stay with some friends last weekend and all has been perfect. Location is not bad and walking distance to city centre. Service, Staff and everything in the resort is great! I will come back! Highly Recommended.

It a very nice and spacious hotel, also no noices from trafic. Almost in the middle of the center 12 min walk to all stores and shops. 6 euro by taxi. Big douche in room very very big lots of towels and a complete mini bar.
That ther was no bath in room but there was a very spacious douche, you good fit in there with 3 people.

We contacted Kristine about the convention room for our ceremony and absolutely impressed. The staffs are very professional, helpful, ready to answer all the enquiries and well English speakers. As we booked the convention room, they upgraded our room to be "Venice". The room was great, all covered with velvet, huge mirrors and crystals. The service was totally first class. The breakfast was amazing with choice of international and great selected local dishes. Early morning on the big day after I used the bath, I was at the reception and asked them to prepare the room before my groom, cinematography and camera guys arrival. The maids arrived and started the cleaning before I got back to the room and finished it in less than 15 minutes. That gained a huge wow from me. Thank you very much for everything!! Yes we expanded the stay :)

We've stayed in Poker room, great for a couple! Everything was just fabulous! Transparent shower glass side made our stay more pleasant))) air conditioning was perfect. Stuff without any comment. Always willing to help. Room service perfect! They knew about our wedding, so left a bottle of champagne and little cake as a complement from the hotel in a room.
This is by far on of the best hotel I have ever stayed on,to be at least honest,i do travel around 150 days a year all over Europe and the US,and I do have to say I Will be back for sure, I have to say everything from check in the food (chicken) the staff is very friendly,and for me,i do feel like home.
If this would have been better,it would have been worse.

The outer building is misleading because the interior is splendid! We stepped into to a world of velvet,crystals and classsss! The check-in was pretty smooth and the front desk lady saw us to our room, the Amsterdam suite. The room was equipped with some complimentary pralines, stationary, Bvlgari toiletries, 2 pairs of indoor shoes and 2 hip towels + other towels in different size. We were pleased with the room, furniture, amenities etc. The Russian restaurant had very affordable prices and good food. Breakfast was included so in the mornings we would head down to the lobby bar. The first morning took us by surprise when we were given menu cards from where we would choose our breakfast. 1 choice from the range from the upper part of the menu card and unlimited amount of choices from the range on the lower part of the menu card. This kind of dining option was surprising, at first annoying but in the end OK. We felt that the overall service from the staff at the hotel was merely a 3, not a 5. Yes, the ladies at the lobby smiled and answered but did not do their outmost nor were they humble, and staff at the restaurant rarely smiled genuinely nor looked in the eyes too often.
The building was very bland and the glass door hotel entrance well camouflaged. The room's immediate proximity to the elevator and the noise that came from the elevator was somewhat disturbing. Whenever someone would use the elevator, a quite loud clicking noise would start. The blankets - too thin and not high class. The only marketing material in the room in English language was the menu. All other booklets and pamphlets were only in Russian and Latvian. The large flat screen TV had exactly 2 non Latvian or Russian channels, neither of them entertaining to a +30 couple.. Only Russian music playing in the hotel. Were we in Novosibirsk or Riga ? We did not use the gym nor the spa and there were no information about these in the room either. Like prices, services, treatments etc. There was complimentary water in the room but no sign saying it is complimentary and thus free for the guest. The cleaning service would straighten the blankets and puff the pillows only, not arrange nor replenish anything. The location of the hotel is not central and the surrounding of the hotel quiet. We felt that the overall service from the staff at the hotel was merely a 3, not a 5. Yes, the ladies at the lobby smiled and answered but did not do their outmost nor were they humble, and staff at the restaurant rarely smiled genuinely nor looked in the eyes too often.
