As expected at this price point, the room was tired and basic, but it was very clean and covered the essentials.
The Wi-Fi could only receive but not send, which was a nuisance but not a major concern.
It is summer, peak season, so we had limited choice and were happy to accept a cheap place on the edge of town - after all, it was only for one night.
It turns out that we stayed in a truck stop, probably for the first time in my life.
The restaurant was a welcome extra, although we only used it for breakfast, which was traditional Latvian pork, bread, cheese, tomato, cucumber, cottage cheese and omelette, etc. It was simple but was prepared and served as well as those which my Latvian mother-in-law served at home.
