We really liked the beautiful decor and also the exceptional staff. Breakfast was fantastic and we could not recommend the Grand Palace Highly enough. We were very happy at this hotel and plan to stay there in future The only thing we would have liked was to have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms

The Hotel is beatifully appointed inside and out. We were warmly greeted by the Hotel staff as soon as we arrived. We were upgraded to a deluxe room straight away and the restaurant, bar and housekeeping staff were brilliant. Professional and friendly the whole time. This is a Hotel that has obviously invested in their staff and the highest standard of customer service. They should be congratulated on their work. Only a couple of very minor negatives - the bar is a smoking area and despite a strong air -con system, you still reek of smoke. Also the cocktails are lacklustre. The menu is extensive, but the bartenders need to brush up on their skills a bit.

The hotel could not have been better. A very good location for Old Town and the ambience and decor of the hotel was excellent as were the smartly dressed staff who were very efficient and friendly. We could not fault it.

Very well located, beautiful, confortable and staff very nice and smily. Small attentions such as opening bed and curtains in your room during dinner + small chocolate on your pillow. I really recommend this hotel although some negative comments (see below) I did not appreciate that the total price of our stay (2 nights, 2 sgl rooms) were immediately charged to my credit card at the reservation stage. That was a bad surprise. The breakfast is a bit disapointing, the fruits were without any taste (but it is true that we are in November, not the best period for good fresh fruits) and the black bread was much better in all the restaurants we ate in Riga. Another negative point is the very expensive prices for drinks (bar and mini-bar).

The hotel gave me a free upgrade to a deluxe room which was a very pleasant surprise. It made my stay in Riga that much better. The hotel staff were very friendly and eager to please. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning a visit to Riga.

The attention given to us by the staff. The breakfast was a little disappointing in that we felt there should have been more staff on duty. Several times we had to wait for milk or plates. there was only one man manning the fresshly cooked eggs, and so one was put in a queuing system.

The staff at reception were extremely welcoming and professional, the position of the hotel just off the Cathedral Square was perfect for visiting the historic center of Riga. The bedding was very comfortable, the room spacious and immaculately clean, furnishings were luxurious. All the comfort you would expect of a 5 star boutique hotel, good value for the money by Western European standards, but probably very expensive for Latvia.

The room (junior Suite) was very large and well furbishied. Wide bathroom, with bathtube and a separate shower. The staff was very helpful and smiling. Huge, various and delicious braekfast. Restaurant was very good (fusion style). You can order room service or book the restaurant or the spa by the computer that's in the room (wonderful!)

The atmosphere in the hotel is very cozy yet luxurious. Hotel staff is great. We have booked the rooms at the very nice price, thus for us it was definitely great value for money. The beds could be a bit bigger both ways - but at least longer... 180 cm tall person is not feeling very comfy in it. The breakfast menu is not as wide as even in some usual level hotels, but pretty OK anyway.
