1. Location- convenient for Old Town, the bus station etc. 2. Easy to find- just keep your eyes peeled for the main door 3. Staff were polite and helpful (though not overly chatty) 1. Noise from outside- hostel is right next to a club, it was quiet on the Sunday night, but loud until 4am the Saturday. 2. No atmosphere- no common room, just lots of beds in an old apartment 3. Breakfast was literally just some dry bread, not even anything to put on it 4. Front desk was not 24 hour (not a problem for me, but hostel's facilities say it is) 5. So many stairs!

first the location. budget friendly, at least there is something to eat as breakfast, the facilities are clean. It's a cons that there was nobody speaking English this time that made me surprised.

The only good thing that I can say about this place is the location. Very close to the Riga old town. Except the location of this hostel, I did not like anything about this place. After noticing "Very Good 8.3" in booking.com, I have decided to stay there. But, it was the horrible hostel I have ever stayed in my life. No signs of cleanliness - toilets and showers were with full of dirt (in fact I had to use toilets in restaurants and did not have shower). Though a free breakfast was mentioned upon booking, nothing was at the kitchen. Reception was closed until I left (10 am), no one at the reception during nights, hence no security. Terrible, dont book even if it is cheap!

Very cheap, nice staff, very good location in Old Town. I stayed one week in Riga to study Russian in a school, the location was perfect, just 5 minutes walk from the school which is located near the Central Station. I would recommend this hostel for someone who wish to stay in a cheap place, in a very good location. Very light breakfast, but it was not a problem as I never had time to take the breakfast.

The hostel is in the old town, but not on the main street what makes him comfortable and calm. It is actually very nice and small, a very good plae for families with children. The hostel is on the 3d and4th floor of a hause without an elevator. It isn´t comfortable to carry the bag on those stairs. What is also a problem there, the hostel calls things with great names, but the reality is others. Like, I have on my reservation, that the room includes towels. Please, don´t call a towell something what is 10x20 Centimeters big. Also there is breakfast included. That means bread and jam, ugly coffee and tea

Very good position inside the town. Too much noise from outside during all the night. The kitchen where you can prepare your breakfast has just one small table with only three chairs.
