I had stayed here with my son for a few nights last year, so knew the location. Perfect for a night's stopover before heading south.
Fantastic location — less than 2 minutes by foot to the big square Good recommendations for sightseeing, tours and hammam Staff was friendly
Not very clean Place wasn't well designed—only 1 power socket, and it was high up beside the sink Only one small towel per person Shower on our floor was broken
Hello, I spent 3 nights in Hotel Aday during my last year's stay in Marocco. Me and my friends liked staff the most. Guys where friendly and helpful. The hotel is located near Jamaa el Efna but to get there use GPS because its hidden in a corrdor of narrow streets - its worth to find it because the hotel makes you feel at home! :-)
Wifi works in corridor, we had difficulties to catch the net while in a room.
Very central calm Location. Even better then 10 years ago. Friendly and helpful staff!
staff friendly and spoke english
had to sit in the corridor to use wifi.
Room was simple but had everything that you need. Location was perfect in the quiet part of Medina and close to Jemaa al Fna market. Bed was comfortable as well as blankets provided. It was handy to have sink in the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly, they explained about the most important places in the town and gave us a map that we used during all stay.
The only thing is wifi not working properly but I don´t consider this as a big problem.
The staff were incredibly helpful. For the excellent price of this hotel our stay was great. Rooms were clean and tidy. Bathroom facilities (although shared) were clean and functional. Overall, a very great stay.
Our room was nice in itself and had a lovely roof terrace, while the hotel itself was pretty and very near to the central square and souks.
The shower did not work and what smelt like raw sewage was coming up the drain, which ruined the bathroom and meant that we had to keep the door closed the whole time and could not use it. The staff were apologetic about this, but as the Riad was full they could not change our room and we had to use the communal showers. They did give us a very small discount on the price as a gesture though (but this took some serious haggling).
Beautiful little riad absolutely recommended. We enjoyed our stay. Nice helpful staff. Clean, simple and charming in the heart of the Medina.
The rooms and facilities are the same or better than you would expect for the price, the location was a mere 2 minutes from Jemaa el Fna - the heart of Medina and they had a good range of rooms. The biggest reason for recommending this hotel would be the staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay great, including tips on not getting ripped off, despite me making a mistake in our booking. They really gave the best service I have ever had and if I ever went back I would choose to return there
Literally the only thing I could think of is no holder for the shower head but that was minor and not really a problem for us
- lovely, friendly, honest staff - for this price - very tidy and clean place - location
- the building's architecture makes it very loudly - you can hear noisy quests when their imagination and culture doesn't work and they behave loudly outside the rooms
Clean, simple and well located. Abdou is a very nice host in his Riad. excellent quality for this small value
Can be noisy if your neighbour does not take care
Staff at the reception was very nice and did not overload us with dozens of offers as in other simillar hotels.
The room was really tiny and the shower could be warmer.
Position (in the medina) Staff Price
Cold temperature in winter, it'snt any method to make hot temperature
excellent value for money. We did not have to pay the city tax
It was our first time in Morocco (and in Marrakech), also we arrived very late at night (11 pm) and it took us pretty little effort to find this place just diving in to the correct part of Medina maze. Guy in reception was very nice and tried to be quite as possible because it was late and in places like this every noise can be heard very well in your room - what we learned later that night.
Room (the one on the right when come from reception on the 1st floor) was cold as morgue and there was no heater but enough blankets to keep it warm. There was no hot water also (I suppose it's pretty normal in Morocco as we stayed in 3 different places and all of them had troubles with showers). And it was pretty noisy: somebody at night decided to watch some movie in the hall just next to our room; then the one and only window to outside in our room was straight to the street so people coughing, chariot riding and cats singing was bit disturbing soundtrack for night. I found it quite exotic so that helped a bit. Also I didn't like the fact that they take your passport away for 10 mins (to write down details) which is totally inappropriate for me.
The location, service, facilities,
Wifi needs to be improve a bit
Wifi does not work very well.
The price is quite cheap. It is close to the entrance of Medina, and close to the big square.
i felt quite cold in the room, with three blanket. But it looks the hotel is installing AC. wifi only available in the lobye.
Traditional architecture in this Riad. Staff was very friendly and I experienced them like true and honest people.Centrally located, but in a quite side road, perfect! Clean rooms and clean shared toilets (western toilet).
It's basic, but hey...look at the price for this comfortable, no-hassle accomodation!
The staff is very friendly and recomend some places worth visiting and eating. It's really close to the Jamaa El-Fna square. The room with wc was clean, and had enough blankets for the cold. Great place given the cost-benefit
You can hear a little what's going on in the street (talking), until 23h something. You might need to ask for directions, since the taxi can only go as far as the main market square, but once you find it, you'll see that it's a simple path.
The staff were very helpful. As the hotel can be quite hard to find at first, they picked us up at where we alighted from the cab. But after that, we realized our hotel is very near to the big square which makes it very convenient. The staff also did not bug us about reserving guides/desert tours unlike other hotels. The hotel is cleaned by their cleaner on a daily basis so walking barefoot around isn't much of a problem. The room is small, but this is the price we paid and so what we get.
WiFi is not so good from our room. You come out of the room for better WiFi. You can easily hear others from your room, which makes it hard to sleep if you turn in too early and others are not asleep yet.
Clean sheets and bathrooms, hot water, modern toilets, location, value for money, staff
Absolutely no sound isolation. You would hear everything happening in all the rooms of a hotel
poor wifi, room was small and bed not really comfortable, no glass window only bars like in prison, draft at night I stayed in better hostel in Marrakech then this
