It was nice to come back to a 'known entity'. As before, we enjoyed our stay and would come yet again; the basics (cleanliness, working shower, wifi) were excellent, and there's a pleasant atmosphere in the well-designed public areas. Tasty Spanish-influenced breakfast.
Just a few niggles, really - in the much smaller room on the second visit it was too easy to knock into window shutters and bang your head on the shower rail (I'm tall!); the price has gone up - fair enough - but the breakfast is no longer included; inconsiderate guests sitting at the table outside our window disturbed our sleep; unable to settle bill before 8am.
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff. Close to lovely restaurants
Restaurant food lovely, staff amazing at reception, location next to beach and walking distance to medina, Most beautiful medina I saw in morocco! Rooms stunning, simple and clean lines, good bathroom extras, hotel architecture and interior authentic and inviting. Thank you!
Original rooms Dedicated empowered staff (reception and restaurant) Amazing restaurant with gourmet food
Narrow and numerous stairs No Alcohol (this gourmet food needs a glass of wine for heaven sake :) )
Staff helpful and accommodating, breakfast delicious. Beautiful rooms, clean and quiet. A lovely stay.
Terrible WiFi connection, better for them to say they don't have it. Also, the restaurant was too hot and stuffy at all times of the day to enjoy eating.
We loved everything. From the design of the hotel and the naturalesse of the personnel, to the food and overall sensation of permanent siesta that this place inspires.
We only spent a week there, I wish it was a month.
The room was small and the hotel is located at the route nationale. We believe that the price for the room is not justified. We had a room on the ground floor and that room was very noisy (late night and early morning) because of the kitchen in the basement. The breakfast was extra charged because we booked through booking.com.
The overall atmosphere very nice and friendly.
Our room had a particular smell because of high humidity. So the air condition could be an issue here
The staff were wonderful - welcoming and gracious. The Al Alba was extremely clean. The food was delicious! The location was perfect. We will definitely return!!
The twin beds in the triple room were a bit too firm.
Loved the decor, the staff, the breakfast, the room. Really lovely hotel. Close to the beach and a 5 -7 min walk from the centre of town. Everywhere is within walking distance. They were really accommodating when we arrived in off the train at 6am - they sent us straight to our room to sleep!
What a beautiful charming place, in a lovely scenic town, with amazing kind employees. This place was one of our favorites during our morocco trip, it was a combination of the small things - nice bed and linens, strong wi-fi, well decorated, great restaurant, seemed to be family owned and operated by a nice bunch of people. Highly recommend.
All good including the staff who were very friendly especially with my partner who can speak Arabic. Very nice room, quiet, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Very nice meals area.
Tea and coffee extra outside meal times. Position is away from Medina for those who don't like walking,we do.
Restaurant was superb, staff very friendly, hookah lounge wonderfully chill, close to beach and downtown, parking readily available...best of all clean and good bathrooms.
No breakfast included, but that forced us out to cafes...so probably good :)
Beautiful room, Friendly staff, great food.
This is a charming riad, with elegantly decorated and spotlessly clean rooms. The staff are very friendly but unintrusive. The breakfast is enormous and of a very high quality. My partner and I paid extra (about 30€) for an hour-long massage and didn't regret it at all. We had a full body massage at the same time by professional masseuses. There is a comfortable area for relaxation and smoking attached to the dining room, with low seating and cushions. Free, unlimited access to the internet on one of the hotel's computers was very useful when planning the next stage of our trip. Free parking, monitored by cctv was great for us too.
The location is slightly out of the centre and when we visited in April the beach was very quiet and a littlw untidy. However, if you have a car there is a beautiful spot for swimming and sunbathing at Moulay Bousselem about 40 minutes' drive away.
Beautiful place and decor. Excellent and helpful staff ; beyond the call of duty...
Wi-Fi in all locations would be helpful...
Staff was extra friendly. The food was amazing and probably the best in Asilah. Highly recommended.
The hotel is nicely decorated and rooms are very clean. The staff was extremely helpful - top marks for staff.
The hotel is just too far from the medina, so for the location I wouldn't stay there again. Wifi didn't work for nearly all of our two day stay and they didn't manage to fix it. They said it was a regional problem however internet cafes in town were up and running all along. At €80 per room I would have expected better value. Breakfast wasn't even included in that rate.
The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was very good. Decor very tasteful.
Room and bathroom quite small given the price charged. Could have had coffee and tea making facilities in the room.
Very clean hotel with very traditional and nice decoration. We liked very much and believe it's the best option for visiting Asilah. The restaurant is strongly recommended with high quality of food. Breakfast also with fresh local food. We enjoyed a lot!!
Wifi did not work in our rooms
This hotel is best what Morocco can offer to you. Small but cosy hotel, food is piece of heaven like hotels hamman. And when you step out hotel you will see really Morocco - sheep, mule, donkey, cats.
A key didn't work door outside and you have to ring to bell when you want to back room.
Decor, cleanliness, excellent food
Location out of town, away from medina
It was clean
No tv in room Very small rooms Expensive for what you get
Very clean, excellent food
Lovely rooms, beautifully decorated. cosy, homely atmosphere, kind service and staff.
A bit far out of the centre, but not too far to walk. We never had a meal (because there are so many wonderful restaurants around) but breakfast was nice (not great, but nice)
