Lovely comfortable beds, enormous bath, power shower, lovely lady on reception. Quite a nice walk along the beach to the Medina each day(10- 15 mins) Very clean, with a very luxurious feel to the downstairs. Our phone rang all night, every night until we pulled it out of the wall. We did ask for it to be fixed, but it didn't happen. The air conditioning didn't really work either, the repairman for this also seemed to be ineffectual. Also we were on our honeymoon, other hotels gave us a really nice room because of this, but we were just given a basic room at the Atlas. Food and drink at ridiculous prices, 6/7/8 the price of just down the road. Also when I booked it was stated that taxes were included, but when we left we were fleeced of a further 8 euros per day for local takes which are apparently different!

It has a nice location across the street from the beach. The rooms are attractive and comfortable. How did this hotel get top ratings? I told the desk that the air conditioning in my room seemed to be on or off, and when it was on, it didn't cool the room. The desk said that someone would fix it. Nothing changed - I slept with the window open for three nights. I got more than a dozen bites that looked like they were from a spider. Maybe it was something that came through my open window at night. The desk said it was sorry. The breakfast buffet was poor and badly managed. The oj and the coffee containers were almost always empty. The vegetables were dried out and unappetizing to the the eye and the tongue. The sauteed mushrooms were always gone - except for once when it looked like someone just opened a can and dumped the contents into the serving dish. You'd do much better walking down the road or going into the medina.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I was also impressed with the way they have upgraded our room to one with an amazing seaside view. The breakfast was fantastic and excellent value for money. We had ordered quite a couple of meals on room service and by the pool and it was good and reasonably priced although the t-bone steak my husband ordered had to be returned/exchanged as it was tough and overly cooked (when he specifically ordered rare). The Seven restaurant by the beach (part of the hotel) has a wonderful ambiance and the service great. The pool was incredibly and ridiculously cold! They should invest in upgrading the pool into a heated one. Guests who flocked to the poolside area to shelter from the blustering winds at the beach were met with an ice cold splash at the pool. It's very uncomfortable and rather disappointing as we love to laze around by the pool and have a swim. I nearly froze on the spot and had to jump right out. Most guests who lingered literally started turning blue. Also my husband was inadvertently locked inside the spa with the staff locking him in. It was a frightful experince for him as he had to break the emergency to get some attention. The girls showed up after hald an hour giggling with their apologies. We complained to the front desk and the management apoligised profusely but when we paid for the final bill upon check-out we were still charged with the spa bill.

Close to the sights and beach of Essaouria. Good breakfast choices. Quiet. Tv did not have good cable reception and not fixed properly when requested, the very fuzzy picture returned soon after maintanance left. The bathroom had a bad smell from the toilet. The cockroach came from somewhere, I am not sure where. Internet did not work in my room.had to go out to reception. Maybe if you book on the internet at reduced rack rate they give you a crap room like this one 1019. Water was not hot enough for a good shave. I sat by the pool for 2 hours and was not asked once if I wanted a drink or food. Is this normal for Morocco, I am not sure.

We liked this hotel as it offers great value for money. It is absolutely new with great design and quality. For our room we paid about 60 eur per night and it was upgraded to bigger size suite for 2 people. Breakfast was fantastic - there were everything needed and of great quality. I am traveling in morocco for 2 weeks now and I would say it was the best breakfast we had so far. Staff was very friendly, shops, surprisingly for 5 star hotel, offering good selection of local products at very reasonale prices. Hotel is located very conveniently with nice 15 minutes walk to medina. It is definitely worth staying where and visiting medina of essaouira, it is really nice The only thing which they could improve at our opinion - Spa is slightly overpriced for quality it is offering. Yes, it is quite nice atmosphere there, but staff lacks professionalism in some procedures and hammam was not functioning properly. Anyway for spa I would say it is 7-8 out of 10

The best value for money in Essaouira. Fair 5-star hotel with all facilities needed. Spacious rooms, nice baths. You have to walk 15-20 minutes to get to the port and medina.

Everything. The hotel is beautiful. We had breakfast every day in the gardens which are immaculate. The breakfast was fabulous. Our room was the best I have ever stayed in with a massive bed, chaise longue, good sized bathroom with excellent shower. Room was cleaned to a very high standard each day. The decor in the whole hotel is fantastic. Staff a bit vague on reception at times. However, the customer relations Manager was excellent so made up for this.

The room was lovely, well maintained and had a great view of the beach. There was plenty of room too which is not always the case in a double and the additional space and sofa was great for relaxing. The food was good too but a limited menu for vegetarian options. The Walls/ ceilings were very thin - and you could hear couples above and next door - which was somewhat off putting! Service for new years eve was very limited - the only option appeared to be joining the organised buffet. The other resturants were closed and there was no room service however there were plenty of place to eat close to the hotel.

Great location between the camels and the kasbah. Lovely spa for pampering treatments. Rooms large and well appointed. Nice clean quiet base for discovering the town etc. Transport from airport not automatic, so make sure you fix it before you leave. Terrible piano player in the bar, no wonder it was empty. Wish they would use all that lovely solar power to heat the swimming pool in winter.

I loved the location as it was close enough to the town to walk but far enough away to be able to relax in the peace and quiet. The service was a little slow but the staff were mostly really friendly if perhaps lacking a little 'get up and go', but this may be a purely cultural thing!

The spa package we bought with booking.com has been great. The restaurant(s) offer inside the hotel is not enough for a longer stay. The parking is in fact not supervised - neighter by the camera (which is most likely just a decoration, very likely never in service or at least without any tracking if anything happens) nor by the person who should be in charge. Our brand new car (rented) was hit by somebody in the hotel`s parking. There was no recording on the camera, the security didn`t want to help. Moreover, the hotel`s management did not involved at all.

“It was the best riad we stayed in our tour of morroc. The staff is amazing and they cannot do enough to please you. They are located in the heart of the medina but in a quiet little street off the main road. The breakfast was good. If you are beach lover like us, it is very easy to get to the beach. We liked it so much we are booing for next year.” Marcelo, London |
