Lovely comfortable beds, enormous bath, power shower, lovely lady on reception. Quite a nice walk along the beach to the Medina each day(10- 15 mins) Very clean, with a very luxurious feel to the downstairs. Our phone rang all night, every night until we pulled it out of the wall. We did ask for it to be fixed, but it didn't happen. The air conditioning didn't really work either, the repairman for this also seemed to be ineffectual. Also we were on our honeymoon, other hotels gave us a really nice room because of this, but we were just given a basic room at the Atlas. Food and drink at ridiculous prices, 6/7/8 the price of just down the road. Also when I booked it was stated that taxes were included, but when we left we were fleeced of a further 8 euros per day for local takes which are apparently different!

The reception and service from all staff was excellent, both friendly and efficient at all times. The Atlas is perfectly located along the seafront and within walking distance ( 15 -20 minutes) of the Medina. The suite was lovely. It was clean, contemporary, comfortable and spacious. This was our second visit to the hotel. We've enjoyed both the swimming pool and beach facilities. This is clearly a popular hotel with families and perhaps opportunities to develop some child friendly activities could be explored. We were a bit disappointed not to hear any live music from the piano bar, but we look forward to that little treat on our next visit ! I would highly recommend the Atlas Essaouira & Spa as an excellent and very special place to stay.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Reception booked and arranged transport to horse riding, quad biking and recommended a good windsurfing school without charging any commission. Breakfast very substantial. Pool kept to high standard of cleanliness. Would strongly recommend this hotel.

I spent one night in Essaouira (April) & chose Atlas based on it's five star rating, reviews & price. I wasn't disappointed! The beach front location is brilliant & only a 10-15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride away from the Medina. We had a beach front room which was spacious & minimally decorated, no complaints. There room service menu is good & an additional 3 places to eat/drink at the hotel if you want to stay in one night. Breakfast included everything you'd expect & garden/pool side is a great space to eat in the sun. I had a treatment at the spa which is lovely! & again have no complaints, the staff were great & made you feel welcome & relaxed. I look forward to staying here again. Prices of the spa could be more affordable as this wasn't the nicest spa I went to in Morocco but the prices were up there! The room was clean but standards could be higher for a 5star. Although tastefully done, again for a 5star the room could do with a bit more luxury but then again the price is lower than other hotels.

V clean n comfortable. With helpful staff on reception There was only onr person on reception so often had to wait a long time. Breakfast was totally disorgaised, the manager needs sacking, often only one person on duty for over 20 tables. The hotel needs to mploy more staff n make sure the are supervised properly.

This is a generally efficiently run and very well appointed resort hotel. We liked the location, as getting to the town involved a very pleasant walk along the sandy beach, or the promenade.

The rooms are spacy, well kept, the beds comfortable, the bathrooms also generous in its size.Missing are:a fauteuil, and, especially, cupboards for shirts, sweaters etc;the room service is well organized, the breakfast fine. The personal computers do not work, most of the time,on the 2nd floor, which may be a problem for business travellers.A computer for public use is located in the lobby, but out of date and overused. The service has been excellent, kind. The hotel is extremely clean. The souvenir shop is limited as the choice of International newspapers or magazines.

We liked this hotel as it offers great value for money. It is absolutely new with great design and quality. For our room we paid about 60 eur per night and it was upgraded to bigger size suite for 2 people. Breakfast was fantastic - there were everything needed and of great quality. I am traveling in morocco for 2 weeks now and I would say it was the best breakfast we had so far. Staff was very friendly, shops, surprisingly for 5 star hotel, offering good selection of local products at very reasonale prices. Hotel is located very conveniently with nice 15 minutes walk to medina. It is definitely worth staying where and visiting medina of essaouira, it is really nice The only thing which they could improve at our opinion - Spa is slightly overpriced for quality it is offering. Yes, it is quite nice atmosphere there, but staff lacks professionalism in some procedures and hammam was not functioning properly. Anyway for spa I would say it is 7-8 out of 10

The best value for money in Essaouira. Fair 5-star hotel with all facilities needed. Spacious rooms, nice baths. You have to walk 15-20 minutes to get to the port and medina.

Everything. The hotel is beautiful. We had breakfast every day in the gardens which are immaculate. The breakfast was fabulous. Our room was the best I have ever stayed in with a massive bed, chaise longue, good sized bathroom with excellent shower. Room was cleaned to a very high standard each day. The decor in the whole hotel is fantastic. Staff a bit vague on reception at times. However, the customer relations Manager was excellent so made up for this.

The room was lovely, well maintained and had a great view of the beach. There was plenty of room too which is not always the case in a double and the additional space and sofa was great for relaxing. The food was good too but a limited menu for vegetarian options. The Walls/ ceilings were very thin - and you could hear couples above and next door - which was somewhat off putting! Service for new years eve was very limited - the only option appeared to be joining the organised buffet. The other resturants were closed and there was no room service however there were plenty of place to eat close to the hotel.

I loved the location as it was close enough to the town to walk but far enough away to be able to relax in the peace and quiet. The service was a little slow but the staff were mostly really friendly if perhaps lacking a little 'get up and go', but this may be a purely cultural thing!

It has a nice location across the street from the beach. The rooms are attractive and comfortable. How did this hotel get top ratings? I told the desk that the air conditioning in my room seemed to be on or off, and when it was on, it didn't cool the room. The desk said that someone would fix it. Nothing changed - I slept with the window open for three nights. I got more than a dozen bites that looked like they were from a spider. Maybe it was something that came through my open window at night. The desk said it was sorry. The breakfast buffet was poor and badly managed. The oj and the coffee containers were almost always empty. The vegetables were dried out and unappetizing to the the eye and the tongue. The sauteed mushrooms were always gone - except for once when it looked like someone just opened a can and dumped the contents into the serving dish. You'd do much better walking down the road or going into the medina.
