Set at the foot of Mount Toubkal, this resort offers a terrace with panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. On-site spa facilities include a traditional hammam and massages with essential oils.
Score from 52 reviews Very good
This Berber-style hotel sits on the edge of the Lake Takerkoust, 30 km from Marrakech. It has 2 outdoor pools and a wooden terrace with a boat-shaped bar overlooking the Atlas Mountains.

The location was wonderful in a hidden valley in the Atlas mountains. The furnishings and touches to the place were brilliant, and the pool was all lit up at night time looking so inviting. The garden was a great location to relax and the pool chilly but great. The food here was delicious, and they had lots of different wines to try for not bad value. The rooms were comfy, quiet and well designed.
We loved this place so much that we extended by an extra night.
The buildings are charming with individual rooms laid out around the pool. They provided a guide for a fascinating walk in the hills right behind the hotel. Good wi fi. Decent food. Good value. Highly recommended!
Beautiful peaceful surroundings - friendly staff
No price for the 'set evening menu' - no shower curtain or shower mat - so water sprays everywhere - and on a ceramic floor it was LEATHAL !!!!!!! swimming pool did not appear to be cleaned daily - no pool towels offered
The setting was beautiful. The pool was amazing - although very cold! The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family!
The shower flooded a bit. It could have done with a larger lip on the floor so that we could run the shower for longer than a couple of minutes before it flowed out into the room.
Location is incredible, in the heart of mountains. Peaceful, but with other guests and friendly staff you don't feel isolated. Pool is brilliant, all very clean. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with fans so you're not too hot. Staff were friendly, helpful and we had many enjoyable conversations. We stayed for 4 days, and did one trek with a guide called Hamid- he was a highlight, full of life and charm and despite being obviously very fit did not push us but rather motivated us up a mountain in the August heat!
Lunch and dinner could get repetitive. We didn't have transport to try local restaurants. Still delicious food but by the end we really could not manage any more bread!
whole experience, chicken tagine with figs, educational and nicely challenging 4 hours trek with Omar, terraced gorgeous gardens especially the white bouganvillia arch.
breakfast bit too heavy on the carbs, maybe local fruit and local goats yoghurt and local honey
Good location and surounding landscape
Bad food, bad service, bad room facilities.
Great location - beautifull and well kept garden. Very good
Sandwiches at 70 dirham - i.e. 7 euro is a stupid price. Should be caviar and trufflles in the Ritz at that price not chicken or cheese in Morocco. Evening meals are a bit overpriced for what they are but the food all tasted good. Pool got very full at the weekend when a group of noisy rich locals wanted to take it over.
Location - scenery is stunning. Buildings beautiful. The gardens are simply gorgeous. Very relaxing place to spend a few days. Restaurant good if choice limited. Rooms very spacious but rudimentary comfort. No TV.
Lack of other places to eat nearby. Service of staff unimpressive. Breakfast only average. One had to keep asking for things.
An oasis in stunning Atlas mountain location. Beautiful garden, amazing pool, a room that was perfect in design and comfort, right down to traditional Berber touches. And on top of that great food and wine. A warm starry night was the perfect way to end our trip in Morocco. We would come again and stay a week.
We only had 1 night!
This was my first visit to Ouirgane in four years. Chez Momo used to be located below the road, towards the river, but with the completion of the dam the hotel is now located on the mountainside with spectacular views over the valley. The grounds are well-maintained and awash in the colors of flowers and olive trees. The staff was very welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. There is something about the place that makes connecting with other travelers a very natural thing to do. The room was comfortable and furnished tastefully with Berber colors and textures. Will definitely stay at Chez Momo when I next visit the region.
The hotel is a very pleasant place to stay for a few days. We used it as a base for climbing in the Atlas. The rooms are Berber style and generally ok. Room 11 at the bottom of the garden had good wifi reception! Breakfasts & dinner are typically Moroccan and we found the food to be of a reasonable standard. The staff are very friendly & welcoming, and will accommodate most requests eg. dinner in the TV room (World Cup!).
Although generally clean, our bedrooms could have done with a floor sweep at some time during our stay. The beds and pillows are also very firm.
the room was nice.
the staff was not very friendly.
Loved the traditional morrocan decor, the divine garden and the outline of atlas mountain at night from the terrace near the pool lit with lanterns.
Shortage of sunbeds
Garden area & pool
Staff service was poor around meal times & general attitude to guest's! Food was also hit or miss!
The hotel and garden are beautiful and the room are comfy. Possibility to have a walk in the mountains just at the step door of the hotel.
The food was not tasty, nor sufficient portion. Uneven care of customer. Staff disingenuously interested. Service and food lacked of Generosity!
Everything. Very clean, friendly staff. Beautiful location, but best with a car. Good food. We loved the berber type room, which was simple but lovely. The gardens were well kept, with a rural feel given by old farm implements used for decoration. The pool was clean, the restaurant and patio were clean and welcoming. We loved this place from the moment we stepped in. An absolute joy to stay here.
There wasn't anything we did not like.
Staff and locatio
Beautiful surroundings, very friendly staff.Good choice of well presented food.Lovely garden and pool. very good value for money
Amazing setting to see and enjoy the mountain and countryside - rustic accommodation
Not much to do other than lazing by the pool or hiking/walking excursions
We really enjoyed our stay at Chez Momo: Location, Attentive and friendly service, Fireplace in bedroom, general deco.
Dinner menu could be improved, especially when you are staying several days. Poor quality of mattresses in the room we were in.
No written menu in the evening. Evening menu not as interesting as lunchtime ( less choice) being asked how we were paying before we even sat down for breakfast on our final morning and the obvious disappointment when it was not going to be cash
Chez Momo is gorgeous with beautiful landscaping and pool. The cottages are private and elegant with views of the High Atlas Mountains. The food is very good. I loved the naan-like bread and soup. The brothers are very professional and very pleasant. I would love to go to Ouirgane again and stay at Chez MoMo. I saw many great birds on our daily hikes.
It was very cold in January and the common room where we ate was extremely cold unless we were lucky to be near the fireplace. They did have two heaters and lots of blankets in the rooms.
Poor food, rude staff, very difficult and exspenive to get to
Perfect location at the foot-hill of the Atlas mountains
