    The design is nice, good location

    The breakfast, far too basic. The only yummy thing was the brioche. The cuts were from the cheapest cheese and ham in Morocco, the bread wasn't crispy. The coffee was a water and see through coffee + you'd expect some Moroccan crepes and other delightful foods found only in Morocco. The juices were bad... they really should improve that area.

    Bar staff were friendly, pretty good location, free wi-fi excellent

    Pool very small, loud music from the bar until around midnight was fine for us but might upset some people

    Comfortable, big sized room & bathroom, well accessorized. Good location in the Gueliz area. (central but still quiet).

    Amazing place to say! Extremely comfortable and amazing sized rooms! Would definitely recommend everyone to stay here. Great location as well! Only thing is, the medina is a little bit far and you need to get a taxi, but its very cheap! Superb!!!! :)

    BAB is always good we thought,having stayed there about ten times 2009-11. Oh,what a negative change apparently bad management can bring about in a short time

    The BAB 2014 obviously suffer from very bad overall management and particularly from bad housekeeping.The bathroom was under-equiped(Kleenex box empty,one pair of slippers only for two people),the lavatory had a brush that was disconnected,the laminate wood flooring was buckling.The staff was surly,doors were closed between reception and street and pool/restaurant area.Having stayed so many times we do not think we will come back-we like our hotels to be cool and friendly and with staff who know us-or at last is courteous.We do certainly not want staff as friends,but we do always expect a cheerful and polite reception,with no waiting times.This time,arriving at about 17.00 our suite was not ready-we waited 30 minutes.On checking out,it took 20 minutes.Compared with how the BAB used to be,well managed and everything and everyone of staff effective,efficient and clever as well as friendly-this is frankly a decline into a state of hotel we will never again consider.What a sad negative change in a few years-from the best to a level just above flee-pit.We stayed in room 103 on Feb 27-no Kleenex,one pair of slippers for two,a broken toilet brush,surly and bored receptionists,long waits to check in and out.What a bad and sad transition.D&C Goeransson-Essaouira/Cologne/Bastad

    nice and clean good location, close to some nice café's

    we'd asked to arrange a taxi pickup for our flight back, but that wasn't organised. no alternative for early breakfast (before 7am)

    The staff did everything to satisfy our needs. Very kind people from the door keeper to the manager.

    Breakfast was a little poor especially the coffee which was too "american", i.e. too weak. Miscommunication between booking.com and the hotel regarding our special requirements.

    i payed for a non-refundable room but had left the hotel 2 hours after i checked in and went to another hotel and had to pay for the nights again. the rooms were not clean and i did not feel safe as it was not what i expected of a 5 stars hotel or even 4!

    We liked the room and the location of the Hotel.

    (1) We ordered dinner and it was not good. The meat tajine with prunes was completely dry and had no prunes. The waiter did not speak English and could not explain the missing prunes. (2) The price charged for 3 small bottles of water from the frigobar was outrageous (total of 12 euros!). (3) The elevators were pretty slow. We had a hard time getting the suitcases downstairs prior to our departure back home.

    Nice clean room, but not a good view from the window. As it is located in Gueliz, there are good restaurants in the vicinity.

    It lacked the Moroccan touch. We could have been anywhere in the world and never known we were in Marrakech. We left the hotel at 7.00 am and the staff refused to prepare an early breakfast for us before our departure.

    Rooms, Design, staff, location

    AC in the standard room wasn't enough for the room size. Therefore, the room temperature wasn't ideal.( suite was ok as it had bigger capacity ac)
