It's a cozy and clean place, with really nice architecture. I think it was currently renovated. We booked a triple room, which was comfortable, and the shared bathroom was clean and not crowded. Since there are only some rooms available, the place was quiet, and we had a homey feeling. The reception guy was friendly and recommended us a really good place to eat, and we even got a discount. It was the best value for money from our entire Moroccan trip.

    Nice building, nice staff.

Kitchen stove was more or less unusable. Only two bathrooms for the entire building meant a long wait.

    Friendly staff and good location.

Only one shared bathroom (plus turkish toilet) and not extremely clean. The terrace view is not too good. Cold in winter.

It's in a good location right in the medina. It's beautiful and blue inside and out (like the rest of the city).

The guy who speaks English wasn't there when I arrived (my fault) so I was shown into a cheap single room. When he came he said I had booked the 'double' room (which was the only option online) so I ended up paying the higher price (because I would have had to pay it anyway since I had reserved online). However the 'double' was just two twin beds next to each other with separate blankets so it defeated the purpose of being able to stretch out in a larger bed. Also, the double room was up two floors and there were only two bathrooms that were both on the ground floor so it was a bit annoying if you needed the loo during the night. If I hadn't booked online and stayed in the cheaper room it would have been well worth it.

Wonderful and friendly people, made my heart laugh. Sweet little kittens made the stay even more pleasant. I loved this place and can recommend it to everybody who is not looking for a 5 star hotel. Authentic!

Cutest basket of 1 month old kittens! Very laid back communal area with great wi-fi. Room was basically a treasure trove of cushions, pillows and blankets - very comfy! Great value for money.

    Shower/Toilet downstairs from the bedrooms

We like everythiing in this small family-run riad. Eventhough breakfast were not provided, but kitchen is always there if you need one. Owner was so kind, never push you for any tour and never ask for the payment - he said whenever you wanted to pay - great location, basic accomodation style suit for budget traveller

This is a very affordable, family run hostel. There are two bathrooms, a full kitchen and a rooftop with a decent view of the city. The location is great and offers a great base for wandering around the medina.

However, this a hostel, so don't expect luxury settings.

Located right in the heart of the medina in a beautiful blue house. The place is clean, has good wireless and two rooftop terraces. The owners are really nice.

There was a mixup as we were marked as a noshow even if we had already checked in and out of the hostel. This seems to be fixed by now.

    - Within walkable distance from the center and gate of Medina. - There are signs showing the direction to this hotel.

    - Front person was not 24h available, which is against what is written at Booking.com website. Since there was no one, I needed to put key and cash on the table when I checked out. - Bed is not really flat.

The staff at Casa Amina was absolutely terrific and gave me and my friends advice about where to eat, shop, and they also booked us a taxi to our next city. The rooms were comfy and beautiful and everything was very clean.

We liked the traditionall style of Casa Amina - blue colours and authentic atmosphere

If we reserve a room we'd prefer not to have problems with staying in it.

We loved this hostel! The owner, Abdul is a lovely man, very welcoming and helpful, as was his son who helps him run the hostel, it had a lovely homely family feel. And what a beautiful traditional Moroccan home, painted in the blue typical of Chefchaouen and furnished and decorated in a very traditional Moroccan way. Was very clean with comfortable rooms and relax areas. Bathroom was clean and modern with plentiful hot water and a decent shower. Lovely roof top terrace with views to the Rif mountains and the beautiful Spanish mosque. Excellent location in the Medina, only a 3 minute walk from the Kasbah and all the restaurants and shops, but yet quiet at night. Really hope to return one day, thanks Abdul for a wonderful stay.

Great and absolutely beautiful family run geasthouse. The owner was happy to relax with us and teach us about local customs and some arabic language. Really can't beat the price and the location is phenomenal (right in the center of the picturesque medina/kasbah). It may be difficult to find hidden in the maze of alleyways but that is part of the charm. The rooftop terrace was a perfect venue for an all night gathering with friendly like-minded travelers - memories that I will never forget.

No a/c but that is common in Morocco. Cooled down enough for comfortable sleep.

We really liked the staff, always making you feel like home. The day before I received an e.mail with instructions to get to the hotel and a number to call in case of necessity. They gave us the key of the main door (total schedule freedom. Quite zone of the medina. 3min walk from the main square in the centre of the medina. Really beautifull arquitecture and magnificent terrace view. Bathroom, although shared, clean beautiful and enough for number of guests

The price is a little high considered that it doesn't have breakfast nor private bathroom.
