This riad is situated in the heart of Marrakesh’s Medina (historic quarter). Set around a central patio, sheltered by trees and with a central fountain. It offers 4 individually-decorated rooms.

Everything. from the welcome, the tajine, the early breakfast, the taxi arrangements. splendid!
The interior was lovely, the terrace great for breakfast or evening aperitif, the food good and the staff helpful.
The dark and winding alley route to the riad took some getting used to. We were woken from our sleep a couple of times by late arrivals and loud chatting in the building's traditional central courtyard.
Staff were all very nice and helpful specially Aziz. The rooms were comfortable and clean. location is good once you have found it, best to get them to pick you up from airport. good breakfast.
Close main square, without the noise. The Riad is very clean. Excellent breakfasts & evening meal are by request. Nice sunny roof garden. Could do with some shade though. Staff are very helpful.
Had to walk down a long, dark ally to get to the Riad. Don't book the ground floor room, it's very noisy there. Because of guests coming & going at all hours & staff chatting.
Friendly, well located, charming
no Wi-Fi there is some unpleasant smell in the room.
The staff at Riad Chalymar is truly THE BEST! They're so welcoming, you immediately feel as though you're simply visiting family. Aziz, Touira & Meleeka are so attentive to all their guests needs. Breakfast was always enjoyable & served where ever our group requested - which was always the sunny rooftop terrace. Naturally. Our rooms were clean & well appointed. When we left for the day, the staff took things a step further and even packed away clothes & other items that cluttered the space. How awesome is that?!
Although most riads are located in small, narrow alleys, it was a bit disconcerting to travel back to the riad at night. A torch/flashlight is definitely a necessary & trusty item to pack with you! Their wifi signal only works on the main floor and not in the rooms or terrace. I would suggest the property increases the bandwidth of their network ASAP.
Abdou was welcoming, helpful and accommodating. He really made our stay in Marrakech much more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this riad.
We would recommend this ryad to anyone visiting Marrakech. The location is ideal, 2 minutes from Jemaa e Fnaa, which is only 5 minutes away from the centre, Guéliz. These are two people made to host guests. Abdu is very helpful with ideas and suggestions on where to go and eat, while Youssef has many interesting and amusing stories. You arrive as strangers and leave as friends. Abdu and Youssef are fantastic.
Staff were very helpful and friendly and made us feel at home Location was also good, about a 2 min walk to the central fnaa square
Great location walking distance to major Marrakech attractions. The staff at the hotel are wonderful !! They go to great lengths to insure that you are taken care of. It feels like home.
This is a really cool place to stay in Marrakech. The location couldn't be better for sightseeing and the rooms are comfortable. Although the hotel is very close to Jama el fna the hotel is removed from hustle and bustle and is perfect for relaxing.
The Riad was comfortable and authentic Morroccan. It had a nice roof top terrace with sun loungers and a small pool in the atrium of the Riad. The staff (Youssef) was very friendly and helpful and the meal we prearranged to be served on arrival was delicious and good value. We found the Riad quite noisy at night as some other guests stayed up late chatting and the noise carries right through the Riad. We decided after a couple of hectic days in the Medina that we needed a bit of peace and quiet so we ended up relocating to a property outside the city but this is not a reflection on the Riad, we found it to be very nice. Very good value for money and located very close to the main square.
The Riad is quite difficult to find and accessible by walking through some pretty dark alleyways. Although we never encountered any issues, I was apprehensive going back to the Riad at night.
Ideally located near Place Jema el fnaa, english is good, rooms spotless and normal size. Excellent breakfast included. Plus the cost is very reasonable. It is a good deal.
Personal approach and contact. Helpfull with à lot of information. Not too much other guests so à quiet place to stay.
Great location. Staff took care of us like family. Very comfortable bed and pillows.
Position and the staff
Very Good hotel, comfortable, staff was very helpful. The food was traditional Moroccan cuisine, well cooked and plentiful.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is excellent. It's position is good about 2 minutes walk to the square.
Everything ok, and it's not really hard to find the way in/out of the hostel to D'jemaa El Fna,but you have to walk through few dark pathways, so better bring a small torch at night. The neighborhood is ok, no need to worry too much. But if you are just a single traveler or few girls, maybe you will feel not safe to walk through those snake roads in medina.
The manager charge me a very expensive dinner~ Euro 20 per pax (Total 140 euro), for just 1 Salad, 1 chicken tagine & 1 Big jar of Lamb Tanjiya~ Finally, we bargain for a 10% off.
Riad Chalymar was ideally located near everything , so we couldn't have asked for more in terms of location. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was to our taste and every morning something different. The staff were excellent throughout, and even arranged an airport pickup for us. Our room was comfortable and nicely furnished.
Warm welcome with mint tea, even at night. Very helpful staff with variable and tasty breakfast, every morning a new surprise. Location perfect: very close to main square Jamaa El Fna. Beautiful bedroom with shower and big bed. Riad has sunbeds on the roof. No noise inside the room or riad. Very kind taxidriver from riad, you will probably not find the riad on your own, the first time in the Marrakesh street labyrinth.
Swimming pool looks beautiful but is small and only for feet or children? Staff does not speak English very well. Price of riad for transfer to/from airport is quite high (free if more than 3 nights), taxi is much cheaper (particularly after bargaining). Temperate Wifi in the bedroom.
Riad Chalymar is cosy, clean and has good working sanitary. Breakfast on the roof terrace is very nice. The staff were all attentive and helpful, guiding us through the streets of the medina and suggesting restaurants and excursions for us. Overall, a great place and a sanctuary from the busy centre if thats what you want. A lovely manager too, which means we'll visit again someday too.
We spent 2 lovely days at Riad Chalymar. The staff was excellent, very attentive and extremely helpful. The dinners at the Riad were made to order and delicious. Breakfast, typically Moroccan. Our room was fabulous, the Chalymar suite The location was great, near Jema el Fna.
