The riad is a haven of peace in the heart of the medina, only few steps away from the Bahia place, Rriad Dar One offers a warm and friendly welcome.

Located just 800 ft from Jamaa El Fna Square, Casa Lalla features a small pool with a hot tub, a steam bath and massage treatments. The famous Majorelle Gardens are a 9-minute drive away.

Riad 34 is located in Marrakesh in the heart of the Medina near the Palais de la Bahia. Its rooms have a private bathroom, heating and a fan.
Score from 254 reviews Very good
The whole environment is surreal. It is like stepping into a palace of times gone. No glitzy, try hard modern furniture or fake "luxury". Just real authentic charm. Plenty of space and tiny private areas. The breakfast was generous and delicious.
The staff were ok. Asked to have breakfast on the terrace but was turned down (that said it is quite a hike)- but then dont have pictures of that on the site. For most of the stay the place was not "done up"- only when weekend guests were there. Do not take the staff suggestion of Hamam- it was really terrible and expensive in comparison to other hamams we found on our own. It is a bit of a walk to get there from the main sites.
Kareem was so fantastic! He manages the facility and he would go above and beyond for ANYTHING that we needed. Kareem actually caught on that I preferred eggs and he continually brought me a hard boiled egg in the morning. We made sure that we tipped him well. He was amazing! We stayed in the Suite Berbère and had our own private fireplace and bathroom. It also had a HUGE bathtub, but we were there in December...too chilly for that but probably amazing in summer. This suite is on the second floor and we LOVED it.
Be prepared if you are not a bread fan. After 5 days in Fez of a breakfast with just bread, 6 days in Marrakech with bread breakfast I was dying for fruit or eggs. The windows are pretty rustic, so if you are a super light sleeper, you might want ear plugs. If there are loud people in the court yard below, it will be noisy... but still would not keep us from staying here again. Karim was just too amazing!
The staff, Karim in particular, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with our stay. The Karim tended to our needs to include transport, tours, making fires, getting dinner, and directions. All the staff greeted you with a friendly 'bonjour' and made you feel welcome. I also liked the feel of the hotel, it was rustic and simple in many ways, yet at the same time it was very comfortable and gave you the feel of living in a large home in Morocco. There were a wide variety of rooms to stay in and the public area was a series of patios, and small living rooms in which to socialize or have a quiet corner to yourself. We went in the winter time and took advantage of the fire place several nights, which made it nice for socializing and meeting other travelers staying at the hotel. The hotel was in a very quiet area of the medina. I liked the Moroccan breakfast of sweet breads, pancakes, and variety of jams, honey, and butter. The breakfast was very generous and served when you wanted it.
Although I loved the rustic feel of the rooms, the very open nature of our particular room (i.e. a toilet and shower with minimal partition) may be a bit much for people who are not used to such a set up.
Helpful, friendly staff
Noisy location Damp and dark
A peaceful haven from the hustle & bustle of Marrakech. Beautiful authentic decor and rooms. Karim the manager was very welcoming and hospitable.
