Location in the Medina. Large room. Small but good breakfast.
Needs a little daily maintenance-shower handle broke, A/C leaked water into the room, Light bulbs burned out. No hot water for showers on the second day--had to take cold ones.
The best thing about Dar Ahl Tadla is the welcome you receive, and the kindness of the family who run it. They do everything to make you feel welcome. We have been back here many times. Fresh towels every day, extremely comfortable bed, lovely breakfast, great shower and quiet room. Plus we received an upgrade to the suite - thanks Yunis!
-Excellent location, both close to the centre of the medina and to one of the doors facing the new city. -The owner is very helpful. He ordered for us food and took it to the riad even out of their usual dinner time. When to me and my sister happened to have a problem, he was very nice to help us even if it was 1am. When we left, he even walked us to the bus station to make sure that nothing bad happened to us (as the bus station is not a safe place for two young travelers). -Spacious and nicely furnished rooms. -Big common room -I loved the terrace on top of the riad
I have nothing to complain about
Right in the center! The manager, was very friendly.
We stayed at this Dar for 14 nights during the period of the Fes Sacred Music Festival. It was our first real stop after arriving for our first time to Morocco. We chose this Dar (house) for its location and proximity to the festival venues and its good ratings, all well deserved. We found that many dars and riads increase their prices during the festival period however this Dar did not. Our room with ensuite was spacious, very comfortable and well designed with Moroccan flavour. Breakfasts were good, traditional fare, with freshly squeezed orange juice. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome, even served with a delicious sample of Fes tangine. Staff Younes, Mohammed and Meryam at Dar Ahl Tadla are fantastic warm people. On our first night at the festival without us even realizing we were going to be accompanied, Mohammed walked us to the main venue so we would not get lost . Younes was super helpful, not only with information about our forward travel but he also went out of his way to pick up our bus tickets for Chefcheoun. We were truly made to feel at home in Fes.
nothing we didn't like
Very friendly, help for finding and leaving hotel, location, roof terrace
Just around the corner from one of the main streats, beautiful saloon, nice big room, comfortable bed, we were picked up at Bab Boujeloud.
Nothing. Only in the bathroom Toiletpaper could be fixed other side, were it cannot get wet from shower and clothes hooks were useful...
Very helpful staff, nice room, good location in the medina
Water temperature was irregular, hard to find.
The staff were really helpful with good communications before (email) and on arrival. So being met at the station and shown the way to the Dar Ahl Tadla was brilliant. The location itself just inside the Medina (handily located between the two main streets but nice quiet location) and made exploring the Medina really easy. The Riad is very ornate with a comfy central area and a spectacular roof top view across the Medina. The room was basic but warm clean and comfortable with a good hot shower - slept well - and enjoyed a very nice (large) breakfast. Would definitely recommend as great place and very helpful staff.
Can't think of any negatives - I really enjoyed the Riad
It was fairly close to the Blue Gate entrance so it wasn't as hard to find as other hotels further in the medina. The manager (I think) was very helpful and offered information on sites to see, bus information, etc. We stayed here for 3 nights, in 2 different rooms. Our rooms looked like the pictures on their website. Chaime – king sized bed, sitting area, flat screen TV, bathroom. This room is on the highest level with windows overlooking the roof. It's probably the quietest room since it's alone on the level. My biggest complaint with this room was the shower. There was no shower curtain so the entire bathroom was wet after a shower. Safae – queen sized bed, sitting area with 2 couches, bathroom, no TV. This room is on the second level overlooking the inner courtyard. We found both rooms to be cold but they both had heaters and extra blankets which helped. Both rooms had hot water in the showers, good water pressure, and were clean. We were able to get discounted room rates (online), around 36 euro including the city tax/night (400 dirham), which I feel is expensive for what you get. At those prices we were expecting a few more amenities, at the very least soap in the washroom! For the price, I wouldn't rush to stay here again and would check out other options.
We thought that the breakfast was lacking as it was only bread items – 1 Moroccan pancake each, 1 Vache Qui Rit triangle each, and bread. The best part of breakfast was the fresh orange juice.
One man is nice.another one is act as bad attitute & frivolous. Although he introduce city of fees to us. But its general information. The breakfast is good & help us to prepared breakfast even we need to have breakfast at 7 :00 am.
Everything there's OK. Medina is Medina.
