Riad Rocco is located in the cent-re of Fes, within 5 minutes’ walk of the Medersa Bou Inania and the Dar Batha Museum. The riad offers free Wi-Fi, a patio and a terrace with a view of the city.
Score from 109 reviews Wonderful
The staff was so kind. Great breakfast on the terrace. Quiet and easy to sleep. Great value and so comfortable. Such a beautiful place with mosaic and wood in the classic Fes style.
The wifi is a little tricky with thick walls covered in mosaic, but not a real issue.
This is our second visit to this hotel - we liked it so much that we came back. It's a very beautiful hotel decorated in traditional Moroccan style. The location is great - on the edge of the medina, but still accessible by taxi. The staff are friendly but discreet. There is a charming roof terrace with views across the city. We would definitely come again.
The rooms are quite dark.
The kindness of the staff, the decoration of the hall and common saloon, the breakfast, the location (close to the Medina, yet very peaceful and of easy access)
We had two bedrooms. One of them, in the first floor smelled bad and had a very small and uncomfortable bathroom. The cleanliness had a great room for improvement.
We really enjoyed the stay. We were treated like Queens. The staff did everything to please us and arranged a lot for us, like a hammam, a guided tour, a personal driver... Every morning we had a royal Breakfast!
The shower is nog very hygienic
Very nice riad!
Excelent location. Very kind and friendly staff.
The room had a strange smell and the bathroom even worse. A little bit too expensive to what it really is: it looks nice and big but it's not that cozy. They didn't have a map of the city neither any good indication of places to go, restaurants, etc.
The location is very easy to find on the edge of the medina, and the staff are very accessible and helpful (e.g. with parking). Breakfast is good albeit on "Moroccan time", so the start and end are a bit unpredictable.
Be prepared for (an absurd) 3% fee for the privilege of paying with a credit card--which is not indicated anywhere in the booking.
This hotel was truly amazing. The decoration of pure Moroccan style was beautiful and the staff was really nice. The breakfast was great too.
-smell coming from bathroom; -reception room rather cold and unpleasant to sit and relax; -on departure date we asked for breakfast to be served at specific time so we can catch train to another destination. it's been puzzled(literally) 15mins. later
Location, free wifi, beautiful building, nice staff
For the cold season the heating is insufficient
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel was perfectly located, it was as pretty and comfortable as the pictures.
We had to leave
Large room with large bathroom. Polite and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Difficult to find at first but then found quick easy way out to the Main Street. Quiet location and handy to the medina. We were only transiting through Fez for a night as we had already been there the week before so the location wasn't great for us as it was quite a distance from both the bus and train stations.
Nothing really. Just wasn't a great location for us.
Great place, very nicely built, offering breathtaking views from the roof and plenty of adventure possibilities (well, just two options, camel or 4x4, but a lot inside of both)
Wi-Fi is very unreliable. So is the water, especially the hot one (you are in Sahara after all)
This is a fabulous little find. The staff are incredibly hospitable kind and helpful. I interacted the most with Niam. The riad is well preserved and cared for. The breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. For a memorable and meaningful visit to Fez, I highly recommend you stay in this restored riad--incredible value.
The location is very good, near the blue gate. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast at the terrace feels excellant.
position is ideal at edge of medina; any further in would involve a very difficult walk unless you carry a backpack. the building is superb, beautifully fixed up. Breakfast on the terrace is a treat. facilities all good, beds very good, people helpful
narrow alley was noisy during festival, and also because an ill cat howled piteously. at other times it would probably be better. the bathroom was large but windowless, and the room was a bit dark.
We stayed in the riad from two nights. The receptionist Brahim is very nice. We were not only received with nice Moroccan tea with also had great conversation. The hotel is well maintained and the decoration is amazingly beautiful. It is very clean and comfortable to live. The location is good as it is just at the entrance of the medina which is easy to find. They have a beautiful terrace which is perfect for tea at night to enjoy a panaroma of the city. Would love to go back again!
Nothing at all!
the Location is very good, just soime minutes to medina, th stuff was very helpfull and arranged a nice City tour
Perfect location. Nice decorated rooms and comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Rooms quite dark and sometimes a little bit smelly but still it was great stay. Although the dinner was very delicious we suspect(it's difficult to be sure but it was the last meal) that after we had some gastro problems (we think it wasn't cooked in the Riad)
In this Riad everything is perfect considering the price 50€ with breakfast we paid. The stuf are very friendly and the location is perfect, close to the Medina but not inside if one prefer it. The place inside is very nice in the Marrocian still.
There was some problem with paying by credit card, but in the end everything turned well in the end.
so comfortable, large bathroom, delicious breakfast
the guide required extra fee for driving. 100Dh!!!! i think it's too much. And he leaded us expensive restaurant and he took us many store. And the entrance fee of museum was not included. without it, this riad is very good
Location. Hotel was decent.
This hotel has cheated us by charging us twice. First they added 3% to the total amount for using a credit card to pay which was nowhere stated on the reservation. On top of that they charged us twice as we learnt after returning home. We contacted them and at first they said we were lying they had charged. After we sent them proof, they began claiming they would send us the money one way or the other. At first we thought we would trust them but after nearly a month we have still not recovered the money. Horrible. You would not want to get stuck staying at a hotel that would rip you off in this manner.
excellent position, very kind and helpful staff, fabulous breakfasts, unbeatable price.
wi-fi signal was poor. just a few details of the bathroom could have been better but still all was good in the end.
