Located beside Fez Train Station, this air-conditioned hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by gardens and restaurant. Free Wi-Fi is available in the hotel's public areas.
Score from 685 reviews Good
This traditional riad is located in Fes’s Medina area, in close proximity to the Porte Boujloud and the souks (markets). It offers 2 rooms and 3 suites with balconies.
Score from 84 reviews Very good
Located in the Fes Medina, just a 2 minutes from Quaraouiyine Mosque, Riad Kettani’s 3 flowered rooftop terraces overlook the mountains and Medina.
Score from 229 reviews Wonderful
the Location is very good, just soime minutes to medina, th stuff was very helpfull and arranged a nice City tour
Perfect location. Nice decorated rooms and comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Rooms quite dark and sometimes a little bit smelly but still it was great stay. Although the dinner was very delicious we suspect(it's difficult to be sure but it was the last meal) that after we had some gastro problems (we think it wasn't cooked in the Riad)
There was some problem with paying by credit card, but in the end everything turned well in the end.
so comfortable, large bathroom, delicious breakfast
the guide required extra fee for driving. 100Dh!!!! i think it's too much. And he leaded us expensive restaurant and he took us many store. And the entrance fee of museum was not included. without it, this riad is very good
Location. Hotel was decent.
This hotel has cheated us by charging us twice. First they added 3% to the total amount for using a credit card to pay which was nowhere stated on the reservation. On top of that they charged us twice as we learnt after returning home. We contacted them and at first they said we were lying they had charged. After we sent them proof, they began claiming they would send us the money one way or the other. At first we thought we would trust them but after nearly a month we have still not recovered the money. Horrible. You would not want to get stuck staying at a hotel that would rip you off in this manner.
excellent position, very kind and helpful staff, fabulous breakfasts, unbeatable price.
wi-fi signal was poor. just a few details of the bathroom could have been better but still all was good in the end.
staff is sincerely warm and friendly
Is weel located in the Medina, but with very good acess
We LOVED everything about this incredible riad. We instantly felt at home, having been given a warm welcome by Selma. The room was lovely, the breakfast was exceptional, and the location could not have been better. We strongly recommend Dar Al Madina Al Kadima to anyone staying in Fez.
The wifi in our room was weak.
Top spot: staff, facilities
Risky motorcycles in the alleyways
This hotel is simply perfect, I can only recommend it!! The staff is nice, the location is excellent (near the medina, but luckily not actually in it), the building and the interior design is beautiful. The breakfast is also excellent. We had a hard time finding the building though and a local "guide" ripped us off taking us there, so here's how you get there: opposite to Hotel Batha (across the big road) there's a narrow pedestrian-only street going into a sort of maze. Enter that road, go straight about 30 meters, when the road turns left, you should follow it, and you'll find the hotel on your right.
The bathroom smells a little, but it's generally the case near the medina, as the sewage system is not so developed.
The place is a gem of a hotel. The service was perfect, the room was stylish and clean. Quite an experience.
When you arrange for an official guided tour with the hotel, be sure to specify if you prefer a tour of the main architectural sights (including a specific commentary on the architecture and history) or a tour of the traditional workshops (which in themselves are no less worthwhile). I felt there was a misunderstanding as I was shown the local crafts in great detail while the main historical sights were only given a passing commentary.
-Very convenient location. -Very decadent interiors. -Relatively spacious rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. -Courteous and helpful staff.
-The room had a bit of an odor (not necessarily bad), but made the room feel a bit stale. -The shower compartment leaked water onto the other bathroom area, making it a bit wet and inconvenient.
The Dar is beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan woodwork and jeli tiles. The staff are very friendly and eager to please.
The guide they arranged was only fair. His English was excellent and he was very knowledgeable, but it seemed he was bored with the tour after the first hour and quit explaining things unless asked. It may have been because we did not want to shop at all.
Location ideal for first timers, 100m form Batha museum. Immediate access by car; parking (paid) at 50m. New building and friendly staff. Dinner advises very succesfull. A bit strange smell in the room, but easily forgoten; nothing to worry about.
Stairs too narrow for bulky luggage (however, staff eager to carry stuff up and down)
Everything was excellent and the staff is extremely friendly...must stay riad in Fes..highly appreciated !!! :)
Very nice Riad, very beautiful. Easy to find and to access. Taxis are available near the riad (100 m). Generous breakfast and comfortable bedroom. Staff is always available, attentive and considerate.
Attentive staff location to souks.
Breakfast too much bread, no option for dinner.
Attentive friendly staff. Close location to the souks. Strong wifi in our first floor large room.
Breakfast too much bread needed fruit/yoghurt option.
The terrace and the young ladies at the front desk (one had been there only one week) as well as the waiters.
The staff are all exceptionally nice people...helpful beyond any reasonable expectation. For the Fez festival, hard to see how location could be better. It's a beautiful place.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, we could see they were trying their best to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. The breakfast is enormous and delicious. The terrace is beautiful with stunning views. The 'Dar' is exquitely restored/maintained.
Close to the medina Moorish and stylish
- The unbearable smell in the room - The guide that was arranged by the hotel
Virtually everything about the Riad was great, and the staff was exceptionally attentive.
Wi-Fi did not reach up to our room, but was readily available in the main lobby, which worked out fine.
