Having to occasionally wait to use the bathroom was a modest inconvenience.
Antonio, Antonio, Antonio. He was a wealth of of knowledge and information. Antonio went out his way to help us solve our travel problems. We can't thank him enough! And we love the way he decorated this place!

I guess I should've came prepared with a towel of my own, the property being a hostel and all.
It was a short stop-over. Antonio greeted us at the hotel where we parked our car. rooms were nice and cozy. Compact hostel but furnished well.

Cozy and silent place with beautiful decoration. Antonio was helpful.

It was very cold inside but lots of blankets for the bed.
Really cool riad, great location just near the main square. The guys that run it were helpful and nice.

Heating problems in January.
Watching my wishes, the owner also read in my thoughts. I asked him for anything, he ran to do it.

Wasn't a big fan of Chefchaouen itself, too many hustlers and aggressive salesman. But Dar Antonio was a great place to stay.
Owner Hicham and his brother Mohammed were extremely helpful, attentive, and run a good clean hotel. The hotel itself is quirky and cozy with extremely steep and narrow tiles stairs, a cozy lounge tarrant and equipped kitchen. There is hot water on demand and the shared bathrooms were kept stocked and clean.

it was alright over all
cozy room but big enough, comfortable bed, not that difficult to get to from kazba

Hot water spotty, wifi doesn't work in rooms, staff told us they only had one room for us which was not what we paid for (actually they had three available). Mohamed lied and said that there were no grand taxis except in the summer, and that we'd have to pay 400 MAD per person each way for him to arrange a taxi to Akchour. I confirmed this claim in both English and Arabic. It was a total fib and we took one of the many grand taxis for 1/8 of that price. When I asked him about it, he tried to pretend it was a linguistic issue. I'm an Arabic-speaking English instructor. It was not a linguistic issue.
Great location, top room has a beautiful view of the mountains, generally clean facilities, staff speaks English and Spanish

narrow and high stairs made it a bit difficult to reach the room, especially when carrying a baby, and the toilet was on another floor. Also a lot of hashis smoke, maybe not so good for children. You can find cheaper options once you are in Chefchaouene.
Nicely decorated, in the middle of the old town.

Share bathroom . Kitchen not easily assessable . No tea or coffee in the mornings
Decor is fantastic ! Great spot . Very helpful staff !

Breakfast would have been nice but there were adequate self catering facilities

Brothers Hashim and Mohammad were very helpful and the residence is very pleasant. We would definitely stay here again if we returned.

I liked the decoration of hostel and hospitality. Location was perfect right in the beginning of town. Only thing i can think that needs improvement is wifi access not there in the room but thats minor thing. I really recommend this hostel to anyone who will travel to chefchaouen!

Location, Bright room with big window, confortable shared space

Bugs bite me 34 times, my friends 52 times in one night in our room !! Bugbites are itchy, big, hard and red T.T But other rooms are all right. Is it just mosquito...?; There are only 2 bathrooms in whole hostel. And you should ask hot water whenever you take a shower. If not, you should take a shower in cold water. My other friends check their luggage in my room after checkout, because their bus time is evening. When we come back, hostel owner forbid their shower and insist that checking luggage is extra one. But I don't understand.. I have already travelled for 3 month in Africa and Europe, I always check my luggage in my hostel. If not, how I can get on afternoon~night bus??;; Am I wrong~?; I don't know...

We took the room on the very last floor, which first sounded like a good idea but it was incredibly hot and the fan didn't help much.
What a lovely place! Very cosy, nice kitchen and a chill place, cute rooms and nice people that we met there. Also the location is very good - quiet and just above the main square.
September 14, 2014
The owner was very monu oriented, we asked for a trip to the waterfall nearby, he quoted us 500dm while normally only cost 300.. And there's bed bugs in one of our friends room.. Overall it wasn't a pleasant experience. Go somewhere else if you can.
Location was good.

No hot water in the shower,
Located in the city medina Chefchaouen, the main alley, 15 min bus station. It is a Moroccan-style hostel clean, modest and friendly staff. Suitable for a night or two in transit.

Great location middle of medina, but a lit bit hard to find at first. You may need to spend small money.(it's easy and safe way in morocco) It wasn't really cleaned place.
Staff was really helpful and they had great atmosphere. Small and clam Riad middle of medina. Great value for money!

Cute facilities and room. The best hotel in Morocco for me!
July 15, 2014
I email both Booking.com and Dar Antonio to make a modification to my reservation. Transportation challenges prevented me from arriving on my original arrival date. I emailed 2 days prior to arrival. I received a confirmation email from Booking.com, but nothing from Dar Antonio. I send a 2nd message with no response. When I arrived the hotel insisted pay the additional night and forced me to upgrade my room. Poor customer service.
Private room. Good kitchen facilities.

Very steep stairways. Not a problem for me but I can see it being a problem even for someone not incapacitated. You have to ask for the hot water to be turned on. Again, not a big problem for me. Very difficult to find, you'll probably have to pay someone to take you there the very first time.
Excellent location in the medina, very helpful staff, good enough Wi-Fi, superb views from the top room. Clean shared toilets, clean beds and sheets. Very nicely decorated. Try the downstairs bathroom that resembles a cave. Excellent value for money.
