In Marrakech’s Medina (historic center), a 3-minute walk from Jamaâ El Fna Square, this Riad is housed in a restored house with traditional architecture.

This traditional riad is in a restored 18th-century mansion in the heart of Marrakech's Medina, a 5 minute walk from Jamaâ El Fna Square. It features a hammam and a rooftop terrace with lounge areas.

JP gave excellent advice on where to visit, eat etc.
My only improvement would be having access to tea/coffee facilities 24hrs
I went to Dar Binebine with my boyfriend and 2 friends and we all loved it. The place is very (very!) beautiful; Jean Pier ( the owner ) is kind, polite an helpful ( he gave us many useful tips to spend during our stay ) and it's staff is very professional ( my advice is to have a dinner there... We had a delicious cous cous and plum tajin!) Absolutely recommended!
Dar binebine is a really beautiful riad, it feels luxurious because everything is finished really well and looks great. The staff were really helpful bringing us right to the door from our taxi transfer and then bringing us out near the main square so we could get our bearings. The manager gave us great advice on where to eat, go and how to get to our next destination. The room was great, it had a bath which was more than we expected for the price we paid. The cat was a big bonus because we were missing ours! We'd stay again.
We had no problems here at all.
Really nice staff, nice location, the best stay during our travel in Marocco! But be shure that someone will pick you up when you arrive, it is pretty hard to find for the first time..
too high price to pay for the additional bed
Great staff - you feel like their personal guest in their house; breakfasts in the roof terrace, calm atmosphere wich is essential after a day spent in hectic Medina; size and equipment (sunbeds) of the roof terrace - perfect place for relax; cleanliness; size of rooms is totally sufficent
If any - you hear all other guests due to gaps in old and traditional styled door and windows in rooms
We were greeted by the owner, who gave us some excellent advice of what to do in Marrakech along with a map which was invaluable! We were then told we had been upgraded from a standard room to a suite at no extra cost! This was a lovely surprise and the room was so beautiful. The riad is so peaceful and the decor is perfect. The staff are all lovely and having breakfast in the sun on the roof terrace was a daily highlight! If I ever go back to Marrakech, I would stay here again! Oh, and we loved the resident cat!
Very clean, comfortable and spacy rooms, excellent decoration and gardening. Polite staff. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere in the middle of noisy Marrakech.
The location is central but there could be signs of the accomodation for a first time arriving guest at the street entrance.
manager, service, price, food, atmosphere...
No pool & no TV. :) And generally Marrakech is horrible - extremely dirty, noisy, smelly, no logic, crazy drivers etc.
we thought the riad was beautifully styled and had plenty of places to laze about after a busy take in the souks. Gorgeous courtyard and the staff were always very friendly and more then happy to accommodate with any requests. Jean -pierre gave us some great tips of how to navigate the streets and we loved having our breakfast every morning up on the rooftop that was so quite apart from the little birds chirping which was lovely.
The staff were wonderful, giving good recommendations for stuff to do, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was perfect, comfort, cleanliness, etc. The riad really is an oasis of calm and tranquility amongst the mayhem of Marrakech. The entire stay here was so relaxing. There are many areas in the riad to chill and unwind after a day in the city, especially the amazing roof top terrace!!! I highly recommend this riad.
It's a bit tricky to find Riad without a map, once you find it however you can't get lost. A small suggestion as improvement to diverse the breakfast (maybe egg omlet)
The staff above all, the clean room and the architecture of Dar Binenebine. Thank you for helping us out with the taxi and for showing us where we had to pick it up. All the best friendly people! Shukran
We chose this Riad also for our second stay in Marrakesh and it was very good choice. We find the Riad easily and we were satisfied as the first time.
We definitely recommend this Riad. It is located inside medina in not very touristic part. You can enjoy the life of real Marrakesh people. On the other hand it is very easily get to the souks and the main square (Jemaa el fna) is in walking distance. Jean Pierre (Manager) was extremely helpful (he explain us how medina works and advice us some interesting places in Marrakesh) and make you feel like home. The staff is very friendly and nothing is problem for them. The building of the Riad has it's own history but very maintained and clean.
If you are first in Morocco, I can recommended order taxi from the airport to Riad. It could be very difficult to find the Riad for the first time in Medina. There is no signs or Riad name. There is only number on the door. Breakfast was very good, but it could be a little bit boring after 4 days ...
Jean-Pierre was an excellent host and the staff were very kind and helpful, going out of their way to make our stay special. The Riad is incredibly, beautiful original features and charming decor. A tasteful fusion of old and new, Moroccan and French. The courtyard was cool and calm and the roof terrace was great for views and sun. The location is perfect, walking distance between the hectic souks to the South and the very different french quarter to the North. Contrary to other negative reviews we found the place quiet and peaceful and would struggle to find a bad word to say. Also incredible value for money, would strongly recommend!
Not a huge negative but the Riad is a little off the beaten track, once you find it however you can't get lost. Jean-Pierre also very helpfully gave us a map and explained walking routes etc.
The staff was extremely helpful at a bad experience that we had on the parking lot at our arrival. Jean Pierre gave very good explanations/informations together with a map about the medina and the paths to take.the room was cleaned every day.
It is not about disliking but we suggest as improvement to diverse the breakfast.
Really lovely room with very friendly and helpful staff. the breakfast was amazing and we would definitely recommend this riad!
the host, the service, facilities and rooms were amazing! not to forget the food there as well, excelent chef in the house. really worth the money
Very helpful and nice staff. Clean room and common area.
It's a bit tricky to find without a map
Everybody was very nice at the Riad, Jean Pierre was incredibly helpful when we arrived, gave us a map and a few tips on where to go (and where to get lost) over a mint tea. The Riad was very well located inside the medina but close enough to the gates if you want to visit outside the medina. The breakfast is amazing and served in the terrace, which is very nice! The room was very comfortable and clean. Me and my boyfriend loved our stay at the Riad and hope to go there again one day!
Our room was in the ground floor near the patio so you could hear everything outside and vice versa, which makes it not so private, but I guess it's normal at a Riad, and we didn't really mind because the overall experience was amazing and there wasn't any noise in the Riad at night so this wasn't a big concern. Overall we recommend this Riad!
We liked everything, about the riad. Jean-Pierre welcomed us very friendly and gave us a map so that we wont get lost, this helped a lot! (You should book airport transfer in advance). The room was very nice and clean just as the whole riad. The breakfast at the rooftop was perfect to start your day off good. The location is good, everything is in walking distance but as it is hidden in the side streets it is also quiet and beyond the hustle and bustle. We can strongly recommend this place, because you will get great value for money.
We were welcomed by JP, who helped us park our car at a safe spot and gave us suggestions about things to do in the city. The Riad is beautiful and very well taken care of. Our brekfast and dinner at the terrace were certainly a highlight. Definitely recommend.
Jean-Pierre was nice at our arrival, he explained about the area and the city. The place was nice, comfortable and clean. The terrace and the breakfast there were perfect. Room was good.
We booked this property because we could pay it by credit card. After the arrival he told us it was not possible to pay by card because they charge lots of taxes. That's really poor. We were very upset with that because they are laughing at us. Finally we had to pay a big amount of fees to take money from the bank...
We can second the other positive reviews about this place. The staff and the owner are very friendly and helpful. The inside of the Riad is beautiful and invites relaxation. The location is within convenient walking distance to many attractions. A local food market is very close by. Overall this Riad is a perfect base to explore Marrakesh. The Riad is rather hard to find when you first arrive. GPS coordinates or detailed directions (with photos?) would be a welcome addition to the confirmation email.
Friendly owner Jean Pierre, nice staff (Djoubi and a boy). Quiet, nearly empty. For the price (60 euro a day or so), was all good, clean etc. Hidden down a maze of alleys, you'd never find it without a guide, so book an airport transfer for 10 euro (cheap eh!?) Good location in the medina, so you can wander out of the hotel and get lost in the maze.
Breakfast was a bit boring after 3 days, 3 sorts of bread (crumpet-like pancakes), with jam, coffee and juice. Watch out for street scammers who will drag you off to a restaurant and act like they own it, serve food etc and hand you the bill with ripoff prices... and get half no doubt as commission.
