Fantastic Riad. Great location and pool. The suite was huge with a massive bed and the largest bath you have seen.

Good wifi, large room in Moroccon style, free fruit at the room.

No hospitality of the owner, very noisy airco, no minibar/fridge, poor shower.

My stay in Marrakech was made so relaxing by the helpful staff at the Riad Dar Doukkala. My room was spaceous with a beautiful bathroom that glowed by the reflections from a big stain glass window. The room came with a private balcony and was cooled by an abundent supply of air conditioners. Breakfast was lovely, great coffee. It was served either on the rooftop terrace, on my balcony or by the plunge pool. This riad is well situated. Near to the souks and sights and the beautiful garden was a welcome oasis after a day sightseeing. Having spent three days in Essiouira I returned to this riad for my final two days. I arrived early in the morning and they had prepared my room and supplied a complementary breakfast. I highly recommend this pretty riad.

Fantastic and friendly staff with beautiful rooms amd gardens. Lots of different areas and terraces to discover. Perfect place for relaxation and location is also great to explore the souks and the square, walking distance to all the main attractions.

    Nothing at all.

Amazing Riad with lovely girls running it.

Our suite was lovely but it faced the street so there was some noise (suite 3)

Great place, full of character and feels very private compared to other riads we stayed during our 1 week trip to Marrakech-Merzouga. The terrace was lovely and our room had direct access to the pool, courtyard and a great view to the riad's beautiful indoor garden where we enjoyed breakfast among fruit trees and songbirds. Our room was amazing and very spacious, it definitely surpassed our expectations. The staff was very friendly and the whole riad was incredibly clean and inviting and offered a refuge after a day's adventure in the crazy Medina of Marrakech!!

Our first stay in Morocco. It was a great introduction. The staff were very attentive and ensured our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The decoration in the rooms and dining area were beautiful and really set the scene. We would highly recommend staying here.

Such a beautifully restored and peaceful place to stay. My garden room was a delight, so was the breakfast room and all of the staff.

It was a little further from the main square than I had expected. Breakfast was OK and interesting but a little variety would improve it.

The place is simply fantastic, it is like stepping into the ninety thirties. The staff is so nice and helpful, always smiling. We staied in the suite room 3. Never been in a hotel room so big and with so much character.

The windows face the main road that could be quite noisy at times.

Loved the location and the peace and tranquillity of the Riad compared to the bustle and noise on the streets. Rooms were beautiful and had great bedding and soft furnishings. Breakfast was a delight and could be taken wherever you wished,- terrace, room, roof terrace.

No WiFi and poor mobile signal No Alcohol available in the Riad, and in the medina in general - although Café Arabe did offer wines and beer with a great food menu

Beautiful designed riad. Just stunning and in great location. Staff all female which makes a lovely change. However, you do need a little tiny bit of French or bring your dictionary. I think this is why they do not seem to be so helpful as other riads because it's difficult to converse when you don't speak each other's language. This riad is perfect if you want some time to yourselves and don't want to have to chat to people. There is also great music which always seems to reflect the right mood. Billie holiday at breakfast for example. Great powerful showers too which is unusual in the medina.

Exquisite interior, beautiful inner courtyard&dining area. Service impeccable. Walking distance from Koutoubia Mosque&Jemaa el Fna. They do not have a restaurant per se, but you can eat there - they usually ask you at noon whether you'll be having dinner at the riad and what you'd like to eat. Tried it once, excellent service and presentation as usual, food was excellent but pretty expensive.

Room very small, window towards inner courtyard - we had to keep the curtains drawn while inside as we were on the ground floor. Breakfast identical everyday. Hard to find if you're coming from Bab Doukkala bus station - would recommend getting there from Koutubia Mosque if you're walking. Staff only spoke a few words in english, but everybody spoke french.

We really enjoyed this place, absolutely beautiful, nice furniture, lovely staff. It is situated in not very nice road but when you get inside you feel in a totally different world...like a oasis in a desert. It is only 15 minutes walk from the most famous square, very close from Koutoubia mosque, El Badi Palace and Saadian Tombs and only 5 minutes by taxi from the new city Gueliz. The breakfast is very tasty and the nights are very quiet there. Our kids loved the small swimming pool in the backyard.

    Nothing. We liked everything.
