The staff and service were excellent. It was a peaceful oasis to return to from the medina. We were picked up from the train station & driven to the riad which was arranged by phone the day before we arrived. It would have been difficult to find the first time on our own although there are signs from Place Rasif (various spelllings) near the pharmacy. The meals at the restaurant in the hotel were expensive and not of a particularly high standard for the price charged. |

The staff were very helpful, and the authenticity of Dar El Gharlia was as we had hoped for, the food was good, and breakfast served on the roof top terrace was a nice touch. Access from the main st. through the medina to the hotel is poorly marked and can be intimidating |

The indoor courtyard is wonderful, it looks like a movie. One night we had dinner at the hotel and the food was great, but very expensive. The location if you want to stay inside the Medina is good, but after our visit to Fes I strongly recommend everyone to stay outside (in the modern city) and go to the Medina for daily walks. We (2 couples) were really dissapointed.. the rooms are small and not too clean. Both bathrooms were extremely uncomfortable and the water was everywhere after each shower. A/C was not working, the door didn't close very well.. etc, etc. The hotel staff was not helping at all, not only about these problems but also was not able to help us to rent a car. |

Excellent location, beautiful decoration and romantic atmosphere. Bathroom was very small [but it depends on the room] and little pricey in comparison to the available alternatives [not advertised online, though...] |

This hotel in Fes was amazing, especially food for dinner in the hotel restaurant. it's almost impossible for fisrt visitors to find the hotel without guide, but I don't think it happens only for this hotel. location itself is very centre of medina. |

Style Place where is located is very difficult to find. But that is unavoidable if your preference is inside of the Medina, which I recommend. There is not much to see in Fez outside the Medina. If you call the hotel, they will send somebody to help you in the curve side, some 500’ on a very difficult hallway. |

Ideally located at the entrance of the Medina, this charming riad is the perfect combination between the charm of tradition and the comfort of modernity. |
