Excellent position, perfectly clean room, very helpful staff speaking French and/or English (Ahmed and Mustafa in the first place), delicious breakfast. Extremely comfortable bed.
I liked everything.
Location is excellent and the staff are excellent too
Tangiers has many interesting sites within an hour's drive
Luggage was stolen flying from Tangiers to Casablanca.
It was the best hotel in Morocco we had. The hotel is located in the street adjacent to the medina - very convenient, within easy reach of the souks and the Grand Socco. The staff in the hotel was very, very nice and so helpful: we were received very nicely, when we needed washing it was done with no hesitation and on our departure day when we needed breakfast very early in the morning that was prepared as well (here special thanks to Ahmed who was looking after us on the departure morning). On my birthday I was offered complimentary breakfast and it was delicious - a choice of moroccan pancakes, cheese, honey, fresh orange juice and even a special request of hard boiled eggs was respected. Room was very clean and was done every day by the cleaning staff. I would go there again without hesitation.
Location is great, just outside Medina and walkable distance from major attractions and port. The room was a pleasant surprise, too. Staff very helpful
Wi-fi was a little slow, at least for Skype videocalls and it was quite noisy at evening
Localização. Atendimento. Quartos modernos.
Breakfast was wonderful!
Taxi driver recommended by the front desk person.
Great location. Wonderful helpful staff. Hamid walked me through the medina to show me the best area to catch a petit taxi. Very good dinner and breakfast.
Think they could offer more information on the day trips that they have available.

We felt so welcome, comfortable and taken care of from the second that we arrived. We absolutely loved Momo, the manager. He spoke very good English and was so warm! He took care of our dinner reservations, taxi and even showed us the surrounding area. If you are looking for a good location (near the main square in the ancient Medina and souks) and a second home in Marrakech, I suggest staying here. It was very clean, safe and homey. We enjoyed evening tea and breakfast on the terrace. We spent 3 nights here, accompanied by a very cool UK traveler. My boyfriend and I are in our mid 20s, from NYC and relied purely on reviews on in our travels. I am so happy that reviews brought us to this little gem!
If you are bashful, there is only a curtain dividing the bathroom from the room.
We turned up at 7am after a change in train arrival times; the manager kindly gave us a room to shower and nap in, before setting us up in an amazing room for our booked stay. Both rooms were great, but the second room was enormous, looking over a street and down to the bay. Absolutely stunning vista, and a beautiful building. Staff were helpful and generous, and arranged a full days tour with a local driver, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was generous and great value. We so enjoyed our stay here, cannot recommend Dar El Kasbah highly enough.
Very convenient,clean,comfortable, helpful, highly recommended
Staff forgot to say u need to book in advance if u want dinner but helped us to find a place to eat nearby
friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, great atmosphere
location cozy rooms firendly staff great local breakfast in total value for money
noise from close pub during the night so its quite hard to sleep (even if the windows were closed)
very nice place and excellent location
noise in back of hotel
location is convenient being near the centre. Staff very nice and helpful. Our room large and airy. Excellent breakfast. £160 for 2 people for 3 nights, v good value.
Being in a market street is noisy but quietens down after midnight (best to get a room that does not overlook the street).
Good sized room with sitting area. Good location just outside of the medina but close to the medina. Nice roof top for sitting, viewing.
Our room was at the rear of the building overlooking a cafe (?) that was full of noisy men until midnight. Cafe staff then started cleaning and rearranging furniture early in the morning. If you stay here, ask for a room at the front. Staff not overly friendly or helpful.
Very good breakfast. Excellent location. The staff very attentive.
A little bit noisy. The bathroom had a strange smell and a water pipe was dropping all the night long.
Everything, fantastic breakfast, lovely kind staff. Thank you.
Staff were all well-trained, extremely warm and friendly, customer-oriented made a big difference in our stay. Breakfast was sumptous with fresh breads and juice! Friday couscous dinner was excellent. Rooms were clean and neat. Location was great!
Since it is an old house could hear guests' movements, and some street activities. But all things quieted down by sleeping time.
It felt so good, the room so clean, the people so polite, really super place to stay...!!
Nothing at all..!!
Not far from the Tangier Port. Staff are nice and friendly with good English. With a nice garden.
Toilet drainage system is not that good. No A/C.
Location (easy walk from grand place Socco) Decoration& atmosphere of the place Airconditioning & wifi working well Terrace outside Friendly staff
Drinks a bit expensive Noisy at night as our room was next/above a Moroccon cafe/terrace, so bring your earplugs
Dar El Kasba is situated in historic centre of Tagier - between Medina (historic city market) and Kasbash (Medieval city fortress and very beautiful part of the city). It's very good place to explore Tangier - you would live in the heart of everyday tradtional life of the city inhabitants. So it gives you unique possibility to feel yourself as a part of traditional Moroccan city life. Hotel staff mainly are young and positive people who really like their job and every minute they are glad to help you. Hotel is in historic house of the 19th century - so inside you'll find very large rooms with air condtioning (in the summer the weather is quite comfortable for the Europeans - so it would be not much necessary), TV, shower, toilet. Free Wi-Fi is available on the territory of hotel. The breakfasts and dinners are served in the hotel - tea, coffee, juices and mainly tradtional Moroccan food. Don't worry if you are used to European cuisine - just walk up the street, enter the gates of Kasbah - and you'll find European style restaurant El Morocco Club with fine French and Italian cuisine. Hotel is in tradtional Moslem part of the city - but don't worry - people here are used to tourists, they are not agressive and you could feel yourself completely safe here. Fantastic view from hotel roof (terrace)! On the reseption desk you could ask for taxi driver to visit places in Tangier and around which could be interesting for you.
The main problem is tied with the advatages of place - it's Medina and you could watch in your window istead of TV, but the life around hotel goes on and on and so - street ambient noises, voices of the people from the street etc. are inevitable. So if the main aim of your stay in the hotel - to sleep in complete silence - it would be qiute problematic for you.
location was great, staff was helpful, very clean, and tastefully decorated
noise from outside. a little bit pricy
