The Family is super-friendly. They can help you with everything you'd like to know. One even got up at 7 in the morning to tell me goodbye.
The Dar El Ouedghiri is a good value for money. You can enjoy a fantastic view of the medina from the terrace (which is, I think, one of the best ones in Fes). But the best thing is the service and the treatment you receive from the staff. Absolutely perfect!
This riad has an amazing view of Fez and is really lovely. The staff is very helpful, f.e. they organised that we were accompanied to go to a restaurant and accompanied back to the riad. We were very grateful as we got lost earlier in the maze of Fez and had trouble to find our way back to the riad (the 2nd day this was less of a problem). We can also recommend to order food at the riad - it was delicious too.
Very friendly and helpful staff! We got lots of tips for dining and sightseeing. Very well equipped kitchen. Definitely recommended!
weather in March:)
hotel manager is very helpful giving us tips of where to travel, fair price to pay for the leather product
Location, too high or gar from main area.
Staff. In particular, the professionalism of Adil, helpful and generous, always ready to meet the needs of all. but tuitto Riad is 10, from breakfast to the comfortable beds, to the familiar atmosphere relaxing. Congratulations!
It isn't a "5 star" hotel. So there is nothing to be criticized.
Everything. Owner was very helpful, gave us tips where to shop and where not to, amazing breakfast in an amazing terrace. Would stay there again!
Good location if you want to stay in the old city, helpful staff, tasty breakfast at the beautiful terrace
the bathroom was smelly
The owners and staff make a special effort to look after you during your stay. The old building is stunning and the terrace is lovely for breakfast.
The location is fine - in the medina - but it's a little bit away from the main areas. It means you'll have to walk back through some empty dark streets in the evening. (Fine for me as a young guy but maybe not for solo females?)
The place is nice and the owners are kind and helpful people. Breakfast was good.
Medina in Fes is a real nightmare, so you should ask for a guide for a walking tour. The location is not easy to find and the GPS is not working inside the medina. The manager offered us a guide, but unfortunately we did not take the offer. You definitely should!! Not only that you do not risk getting lost in the medina, but you can also avoid all the sellers coming at you and trying to convince you into buying smth. Fes is nice, but inside the medina is crazy! Also, please be aware that this accommodation place is not recommended for people with walking difficulties as there are many stairs to climb up to the rooms.
The Terrace is very nice. The staff always ready to help.
I can't just because the staff and the terrace are nice so I neglect other things. I staied three places in morocco, others I gave 95%and100%. First of all I booked a single room and the staff is very nice to gave me a bigger bed one, but the room is odd, generally didn't feel good to sleep in. The Shower water flow is so slowly took me ages to wash so I got a cold and had to slept whole day the next day. Blood spot on the duvet. Tolite pump made creepy sounds in the early morning by itself. Don't really like the breakfast,Orange juice is not fresh one at other places I had egg tomato and ham for breakfast.no way to make tea by myself as I drink tea four times a day and had to cost me 20d for one mint tea.at other places I made tea as much as I want for free.
staff was great. Very helpful, Adil was perfect. The place is luckily quite easy to find. perfect terrace, and nearby is a perfect restaurant the ruined garden.
We liked everything about the riad, nothing to complain. We just hated the city of Fes. It will drive you crazy for sure.
This is a traditional beautiful Moroccan house providing all facilities of a modern hotel at an affordable price. The view on the roof terrace is stunning, you can enjoy breakfast there while enjoying a panoramic view of old Fez. The rooms are cleaned everyday which is not quite usual in other places. There is only one member of staff, his name is Adil, he is helpful and friendly. He can give you some useful tips on your stay in Fez. The lady who owns the house is also always there. Last thing, they have a very good wifi connection.
They might consider starting their breakfast earlier than 9 am.
Just amazing, we felt as if we were at our friend's house. Staff were so kind and helpfull at all times, always happy to help. I would definetely come back there once again in Fes. Beautiful breakfast in the roof terrace looking at the medina. 100% recommendable!
the owner was very helpful and nice, one of the only people in morocco that wont try and force you into buying or signing up to something.
Our host was absolutely fantastic, he met us at our car outside the medina, carried half of our (many) bags and he also organised for us to have dinner at a nearby restaurant since we arrived late. He walked us there himself and asked for a restaurant staff member to walk us back. After a long day of travel it was such a relief to have everything organised for us! The riad is stunning with it's central atrium having amazing Moroccan architecture, and with a lovely roof terrace. Our room was huge with a couch seating area and table. The breakfast was the best we had in Morocco particularly the Msemmon and delicious local honey. A guide was also organised for us called Hassan, he was great, very knowledgeable and easy-going. He did take us to a lot of shops as well, but we didn't mind because we wanted to see the different types of shops and to buy some presents for home. We didn't feel pressured to buy anything, and he also took us to a delicious lunch venue. Highly recommend this riad.
The Riad is very nice. Good air-conditioning, bathroom. Our room was huge, with a coffee table and two sofas. The recepcionist (Adil) is ver gentle and helped us to get a taxi when we were departing. He also gave us some tips about what to visit and the best hour to visit. The breakfast was great, typically morrocan, and delicious.
Nothing at all.
very comfortable, friendly staffs, delicious food include breakfast, good Wifi, great heating, very nice view !! I stay here four nights, I like the room in the second floor, 20 Euro/night, very suitable for couple or single lady!
nothing don't like. If have to say, the location. you will get lost in Medina Fes, trust me. The men stand in the street always harass travelers.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Dar was very clean and impressively decorated.
It is located in the heart of the Fes medina and you have no chance of finding it on your own (of course the taxi could not enter the medina). Being harassed by locals while trying to find the place was an unpleasant experience. Our recommendation: call the hotel in advance so that they pick you up! It was very cold in the common dining room, as well as in our room (we traveled in late-December). The heating (i.e. air-conditioning) was loud and not very efficient.
My friends and I stayed here for 1 night. One of my friends arrived very late (11 PM) at Fes station and even Aidil and Khadija offered to pick her up. They are really kind family. The location is excellent. It's really close to the Medina esp. Bab Bou Boujloud and also to the main road like Sidi El Khiyat (easier to catch taxi). The terrace has pretty view of Medina. Everything was perfect even the wifi worked from the room. Definitely would recommend people to stay here.
Only the narrow staircases but it was still manageable.
Comfortable, clean room and good breakfast. Stay recommended but organize your activities on your own!
Cold shower and bad water pressure. The owner, as almost everyone in Morocco, tried to make us overpay for everything he "helped"us with. He organized a trip to Marrakech via Sahara, which turned out to be a stressful and chaotic experience (i.e. instead of private car and guide we got a car with 7 people and 4 hours late, without any explanation or apology). Disappointing.
Very beautiful and charming old house (over 800 years), with a very comfortable en-suite room. The host was helpful yet discreet, and was able to arrange for guides to the tanneries and restaurants at night. The breakfast was tasty and filling and the view from the terrace was beautiful. All in all, a wonderful stay in Fes.
It was difficult to find the house within the medina - bring along a good map!
Staff is very helpful, room was clean and beautifully decorated. We stayed in December and the heating was great. Terrace has nice views of Fes. Breakfast is amazing they served homemade pastries. I can highly recommend this place. Also the building is dating back to 14th century.
