Dar Tahrya is a traditional bed and breakfast in the Talaâ dictrict of Fez. It offers air conditioned rooms, a hammam and two terraces overlooking the medina (historic quarter).

Personal service. Ebraham was very kind and friendly. His employee: Mohammod was sensational. He always went out of his way to help us.
Mohammed the manager was really helpful. Riad in a very dark street . Fez was great. I would recommend this riad. Watch out for dodgy guides!!
Very warm blankets Nice decoration Smell wel nice staf
Poor really poor wifi signal in the upper floors In February was cold no heater available
The staff met us at the Blue gate and showed us how to get to the riad. After that we could always find it (from the Blue gate) Mohammed was great. He recommended and took us to a great family restaurant for dinner that was the best meal we had in Morocco! The riad was very pretty and had an assortment of rooms and a nice roof terrace
The rooms were musty from the cold. They don't heat the rooms when not in use. It didn't take long to heat them up once we got there. The beds and pillows were hard. We found that in other riads as well.
Mohammed was an amazing host, always willing to help, show us places or offer advice. Our shower head malfunctioned on a Sunday morning and by the evening it was fully fixed.
The rooms aren't serviced, which is just worth keeping in mind.
Hotel staff was very nice, especially Mohammed who was very helpful and gave us lots of advice. Breakfast is excellent.
Beautiful budget riad. Well worth the money. Your room is big and warm (if in winter) and the whole riad is decorated vey tastefully. Breakfast is above average but i'd buy some cheap fruit when walking around. An orange or banana makes it so much better. That can we said about most places in morocco... great breakfasts usually but a piece of fruit would go a long way. The caretaker Mohammed is very nice and his English is great.
Good location at the heart of the Medina; very pretty Moroccan old house; very friendly and accommodating staffs - Mohammed picked me up at the blue gate when my attempt to find the place failed (:-D). Breakfast is fine and the place is really quiet.
the location and the atmosphere
Well restored Riad with very nice decoration. Perfect location and friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great!
The mattress was a little bit hard.
really nice place
bad bed bad scary location
The staff and once I finally found it the central location. The breakfast was superb
The bed-it was like sleeping on a tiled floor. Very, very difficult to find in the dark. Telephone beforehand and you will be met and guided. A very small room , no chair , no wardrobe, no wifi in bedroom and only that damned bed to sleep on.
The main room and terrace are beautiful.
They had given my room away when I got there and I didn't have a lock on the inside of the room they ended up giving me. Plus, the owner used a ridiculous exchange rate to calculate how much I owed him in MAD.
Beautiful house, nice staff, good breakfast.
Our room hasn't a window and smelled humidity. It can be difficult to find without help.
this Riad was just wonderful and the staff really nice and helpful!
Location. Owner helpful with information. Filling Moroccan breakfast to complement a stay in an old Moroccan house.
Dar Labchara is a hospitable place and the common room (the lobby) is impressive. We were happy with our room and enjoyed the terrace. I must make special mention of Mohamed who welcomed us and then took unbelievably good care of the three of us. He was really like a brother looking after his sisters. He suggested good places to eat and escorted us there and back in the evening (the Fes Medina is really like a labyrinth), he was there for us at all times and he also gave us an unusual tour of Fes for which we are truly grateful. Thank you Mohamed and Dar Labchara, Ljubica Arsovska, Republic of Macedonia
I think the sign with the name of the place should be made more visible. The place is not easy to find, but if you want to be in the Medina then that's it - it's difficult to find anything, so be sure to phone and prearrange a meeting place where Mohamed or somebody else will wait for you and take you to Dar Labchara.
Less than 50 meters from Souk/Market. A very friendly & helpful man (Mohamed) who runs & looks after the Riad Dar Labchara
Location is great. It is just off one of the two main streets inside the Medina. Easy to find after getting lost inside the Medina. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Staff was friendly, helpful and not pushy in selling services.
Wifi signal was a little weak.
Mohamed is amazing, and so kind! Thank you for showing us the best places in Fez, it was a great experience.
No coffee in the early, early morning when I had to depart.
hardest mattress I have ever slept on. not very clean. sewerage smell in the room.
Very nicely done, perfect interior design. Looks as if recently renovated. Great breakfast and tea available at any time on request and was free. An absolute treasure of the Riad was Muhammed who was extremely helpful 24/7.
Very friendly and helpful staff - took us to the taxi rank at 1am when we had to leave and picked us up from outside the medina to walk us there.
Dim lighting in rooms.
The riad is perfect for soaking up the atmosphere of the medina in Fez. The hotel is quaint and spotlessly clean. The room is very spacious and quiet. Breakfast good and plentiful. Staff friendly and confidential. Our stay was special.
