Kind owners The best breakfast spread we had in Morocco Great location Clean
Traditional Dar with staff who will be as accommodating as possible. Very helpful & friendly. English moderately understood. Plenty of hot water even at 1am. Fresh orange juice, mint teas and generous moroccan breakfast of breads and pastries. Great location near Bab Boujloud.
very nice and helpful staff, delicious breakfast
room interiors didn't quite live up the expectations, set by online pictures
Good location, good breakfast, nice cleaning staff. Typical "Dar", small and very little privacy. Difficult to extract a receipt for payment from quasi manager.
Front door often found open, poor security. Could hear everyone throughout the building. Staff on site only briefly at breakfast. Not professionally operated.
As it is mentioned in lot of reviews the staff is very nice, the location is just perfect and they provide a very rich and tasty breakfast. PS: Hassan and Youssef, many thanks again for the concert invitation, it was one of our best experiences in Morocco.
We had a little 'incident' on our arrival. They wanted to give us a room with common toilet although we 'd booked one with toilet. Finally we got what we 've booked and after a friendly talk the staff was kind and helpful.
Great Place ! Very beautiful hotel with traditional rooms. Cosy kitchen to use. Youssef and Hassan are great hosts! Worth a stay at least 2 nights.
the rooms can get a bit chilly during the night..
-great selection of breakfast dishes -fast Internet connection -friendly staff
Great location if you want to be right in the old medina. The room is comfortable and has lots of charm. We had a warm welcome by the hosts and breakfast was big and yummi.
Unfortunately there were some noisy guests next door and our night sleep was not as peaceful as it should have been.
Friendly helpful staff. Easy to find in medina. Staff went out of their way to escort us to bus station and orientate us. Felt safe. Peaceful and clean.
Nowhere to put clothes. Sink leaked.
Hotel is situated in the center of Medina. Nice and gently staff. Good breakfast. Hotel is quite easy to find.
It was quite dirty in our room. No heater - it was raining during 2 days and nights were cold (travelling in March). We had wet cloths. We were the only quests in the hotel and it was strange feeling for us.
I feel very secure in this place plus the whole simplicity but confort at the same time. The staff was incredible nice and helpful. I will come back there for sure!
Close to the main entrance to Fes Medina and very easy to find. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Perfect location, very close to Blue gates (main entrance to Fes Medina). Easy to find. Very nice, old traditional house with beautiful decoration and style. Welcoming, nice hosts and stuff. Always ready to help. Fes itself is charming and very different from Marrakech much more quiet.
Very close to the Blue Gate for taxi access, and nearby restaurants.
Room smelled badly of cleaning products, yet no cleaning was done for the 3 days we stayed there. Shower had hot water for only one of the three days.
Hassan, Yusef and everyone at Dar Lmallouki were fantastic!! They took amazing care of us, arranging a great tour of the city and other activities for us, going above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The house is a great location and pretty easy to find. Yusef makes great breakfasts! Hassan is very welcoming, he spent time chatting with us and telling us about life in Fez, as well as introducing us to local merchants and friends. This place, and the experiences we had here were the highlight of our trip around Morocco.
Great atmosphere, Hassan and Yussef do all they can to make sure you feel welcome and give you advice on where to eat and what to see or where to travel to.When they send you to a restaurant they know and tell you to tell the people there that you are staying with Hassan, do it, it sometimes makes a real difference. The house is lovely and really ideally situated.
This is one of those cases where some flaws otherwise bothering, were completly bypassed by the unbelivable kindness and personality of the riad managers. After the "bumpy landing" in fez (guides and taxi drivers can be a pain to the newcomer), was picked up by the manager at the blue gate, and arrived to a prepared meal as a family with riad staff and other newcomers. Everybody incredibly nice! But the unbelievable was yet to happen. On my last day I had a train to marrakesh at 02:30am. I asked if we could leave our bags during the day and after dinner we would come get them. Not only did they said yes, but they made us a giant cous cous tagine, and as apparentely us being in the train station for a couple of hours was against moroccan hospitality, the took us into their private home, waited with us, and walked us to the train station at 2am! I realize that this does not say much about the riad itself, but it shows who their managers are and how they run it. When i return to fez, i will definately stay here, and i would recomend it to anyone!
Bathroom pipes smelled, but this seems to be common in medina riads,
Absolutely the best accommodation during our 7-day trip! Cosy rijad with family atmosphere and in perfect location. We were completely stunned by decor and tidiness of the place.Thank you!
The best place in the world. Very nice, and gently owner. Big and very tasty breakfast. And...great location of Hotel.
- The Riad is a typical historical house. Beautiful decoration - The staff (Youssef and Hassan) are VERY friendly and helpful. You feel like home with friends. - Very good breakfast.
very nice people, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful rooms. definitely worth a visit!
Nice riad, rooms are nicely decorated.
In the winter it is a bit cold in the rooms. The rooms find themselves around the court. Since this is the place of breakfast en gatherings, this can be a bit noisy.
Our rooms and bathroom on the ground floor were connected to the dinning room so we had no privacy. The rooms are not prepared for Winter temperaturas.
The staffs were really friendly, we were greeted and welcomed warmly upon our arrival with Moroccan tea and some chit-chats. They're happy to help with anything. On our last evening after returning to the hotel we told one of the owners Yousef about something we really saw and like in a shop earlier but couldn't buy on our way back as the shop was already closed. He happily asked to come with him and brought us to a few shops(that were also closed by that time) and we ended up in shop-that-was-reopened (thanks to him) and found exactly what we were looking for! Yousef also volunteered to send the four of us to the train station at 4 something to catch our train at 5. God bless him and the whole riad! Our rooms have beautiful Moroccan interior design, spacey and warm. Breakfast was delicious and had variety! Definitely recommend!
