I've stayed at the Dar Marhaba at least 6 times over the last few years and each time it is a delight to receive such a warm welcome from Sanaa, Aisha and Aziz who are always smiling and so friendly. I love the riad, sitting and reading in the courtyard by the orange tree is pure heaven!

The bathroom was a little smelly but we reckoned it was due to the sewer system, not the cleanliness of the room. It seemed that there were a total of five rooms available, of which three of them are on the bottom floor. Being on the ground floor didn't feel very private but it wasn't a deal breaker. If available, I would request a room on the second or third floor.
The staff met us at our taxi and escorted us to the Riad which was super helpful. Our room and private bathroom was nice and cozy. The location was conveniently located but away from the noise of the square; a major plus. The breakfast was simple but tasty and plenty of food for the two of us.

Nothing!!! Unlike others said the wifi worked well
In essence an excellent Riad for the price. Brilliant location in the medina. Easy to get to once youve found it the first time. I travelled with 3 friends and it was perfect. You can come and go as you like. Rooms are cosy. Fantastic balcony on the top floor for relaxing. We stayed in the 4 bedded room next to this and it felt very private. Lovely and sunny. Quite and pretty couryard. Staff were warm and friendly and very accomodating. Saana can make an evening meal at an extra but resonable cost. The food was beautiful so I would recommend this. Like others said it does help to know a little french and makes it more enjoyable. The staff organised airport transfers for us for €15 and again I'd recommend this for ease. We would definately return to Dar Marhaba I hope hope we do soon! Thankyou!!

It could be confusing to find the riad. Locals could help, but becareful. We were tricked by the taxi driver (old man) from the airport to pay 200 dirham (for 2 persons) for a very short distance ride, and then the taxi driver passed us to a bag porter which we paid another 30 dirham. Staff not proficient in English, but tried their best
Location inside the medina Excellent wifi Beautiful decoration Lovely breakfast

Rooms need a reshuffle. Very poor breakfast.
Location. Aziz. Riad´s authenticity.

Liked everything - just have someone meet you from the riad at the airport otherwise the taxi drivers will rip you off and you'll get lost and harassed by other people trying to get you to stay at their riad. No matter what the riad charges, trust me, it's cheaper than doing it on your own unless you've already been to marrakesh before :)
This place is an oasis with an orange tree growing in the courtyard with wonderful helpful staff. Rooms were clean, spacious and decorated well. And unlike other riads, this place ACTUALLY has air conditioning (we stayed at another one that had advertised AC but only had a fan). Would absolutely stay here again.

The quiet and lovely Riad tucked away in the souks, just 3 mins walk to the main square. The staff don't speak much English, but really helpful and friendly nevertheless. We had a lovely time. Thank you!

the mosque was very loud in the middle of the night but still added to the experience

Room lighting is weak
15 April 2014
Our room was a bit small for two people.
The staff was very helpful and the breakfasts were wonderful. It was also close to the medina.
11 April 2014
Not as clean as it could have been, and for payment (even though rate quoted in £/€ the Riad chose their own exchange rate and charged us accordingly in Dirham!
Location great, and good directions from staff.

dirty, smelly, room not clean or ready. went straight out to find somewhere else.

We strongly advise that future guests to use the safe provided for all cash and valuables. In addition keep all your belongings in locked bags. Regrettably missing items and valuables did spoil what was an otherwise enjoyable stay. :(
The Riad is in a fantastic location right in the heart of the Souks and just 50 metres from the main square. This Riad has a rustic charm and has many typical Morrocan features. The breakfasts although simple were freshly prepared and plentiful, the homemade yoghurt is a great touch. We had the suite on the top floor and the small roof terrace adjacent to this is a peaceful place to relax. The staff were helpful, courteous and friendly.

Amazing little riad in the heart of the medina on a quiet backstreet. The staff were amazing, the breakfast beautiful and location spot on. I have been to marrakesh 3 times and this riad is right up there with the nicest and most authentic I have stayed in.
