All the staff was super friendly and helpful for our first visit to Chefchaouen - showing us good places to go, helping us around, etc - and the security felt pretty high since there was almost always someone at the front desk. It was a little pricier than the other dars nearby, but it was worth the splurge for the night.

Dar Meziana is a very friendly little place to stay in the lovely town of Chefchauoen. The staff are very helpful, the food very good and the views from the terrace are lovely. Our room was a bit small.

The staff was incredibly helpful....we were coming to Chefchaouen by private car and were unable to find our way to the entrance ....one of the guys came down to the town....bopped in our car and led us to the parking area and helped us take our bags to the Dar. The breakfast is hearty and fresh...much more than a typical carb overload...and the ambiance is lovely; fireplace going in the chilly morning...great terrasse to relax and take the sun in the afternoon . Great value and quite charming. The location can make or break a traveler. Should you want to venture out of town at all (which is actually *not* necessary) you'll need to hike down to the very bottom of town to get a 'grande- taxi'....it's not difficult once you get there but the mountains roads at nite are a bit dicey. Thankfully our driver knew his stuff and he even returned to the restaurant to pick us up after dinner. Like many establishments in Morocco...they do not accept Amex.

We stayed here for 2 nights on the advice of our guidebook which said that this riad is absolutely perfect and I would have to agree! It’s a beautifully decorated riad, with friendly and helpful staff who speak English. They have a fireplace which was nice in February in the mountains and the room had a good heater. Very easy to find and well- marked – though I’d recommend coming from Bab Souk as the riad is a bit closer to this than other medina entrances. Possibly the nicest roof of any riad where I’ve ever stayed, with great views. Great breakfast – the traditional Moroccan breads but they also made eggs (which is unusual to find in a riad breakfast). They gave us a choice of two rooms and we chose one on the bottom floor, but it wasn’t noisy at all. Great water pressure. Overall, a great value compared to riads where I’ve stayed in other cities. I would definitely stay here again!

It's really close to the shopping and easy to find. It's quiet and a good bargain for the price. The Moroccan decor is a bit overdone and busy. The breakfast room was very cold but they wouldn't allow us to take breakfast in our room, which was warmer and more comfortable. There were two fairly large spiders in my bathroom, the harmless kind, but I can't really knock them for that - the building is far from hermetically sealed; it's only natural that a few little critters will seek warmth and shelter, just like us!

When we arrived there, the hotel was overbooked. We were relocated to a different hotel without any explanation from the hotel manager. The hotel staff kept telling us that the other hotel is as same as Dar Meziana, but of course it wasn'T. They took us to another hotel called "Casa Hassan". Casa Hassan was not as nicely decorated as Dar Meziana. They told us that "Both hotels are the same because both Casa Hassan and Dar Meziana are owned by the same owner and there shouldn't be any difference". That was very ridiculous comment they made.... My reservation was not confirmed at all thru Booking.com at Dar Meziana and we experienced very inconvenient time there and very disappointed. If you were to book this hotel, be careful.

Great staff. One of the best things about Chefchaouen was the breakfast at Dar Meziana! To die for. And spectacular views. Liked everything, but just know that sound travels in the riads (which was not completeu condusive to our honeymoon spirit if you know what I mean).

Very nice host. Nice people. The dar is with traditional morocco style decoration. Clean and comfortable. The terrace is a good place to relax and meet new friends. You can have breakfast there if good weather. The breakfast is the best one I have had in morocco. Strong wifi within the house. Chefchaoeun is a nice town, worth a visit. Room a bit small but anyway it's cool to hang around public areas. Not enough hot water for shower but seems it is a common problem in Chefchaoeun not about the Dar.

The hotel was beautiful and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Everything was very authentically Moroccan and true to the region and town. The staff was very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. It is not the cheapest place in town, but we felt that our money was well-spent.

Very friendly management team and staff who go out of their way to assist to ensure a pleasant stay. The rooms are airconditioned, comfortable even if hot water was inshort supply some mornings. Breakast on the terrace is a great way to start your daywith a nice view over Medina

A real gem located in the pefect spot, one could say it is hard to find, but everyone in the town is very helpful and knows the place well, so you need only ask around. I can't think of anything, I really enjoyed the town, Assilah, Rabbat and Fes were our other destinations, and we liked this one the best.
