Score from 90 reviews Very good
Beautiful traditionally decorated Riad near Seffarine square. Location was perfect and it was easy to find when we followed sign posted walking route (red one). Staff were nice and helpful and the breakfast was best we had in Marocco. The rooftop terrace was perfect place to enjoy the breakfast and views.
- Wifi was not available in the room. Only from the first floor. - The TV was not working. - Don't go to the Omnium Restaurant if they recommend you to go. The food is horrible and very very expensive. Don't go in any case. You will eat much better on the street than in that place (although the people was nice, the "harira" was very bad - one of the worse we've tried along the trip - and we found a hair on the "pastilla"). When we arrived to the hostel, we advised about it and they offered a meant shisha, plenty of dried fruits, olives, orange juice and martini everything for free. Thanks to the stuff we almost forgot about the dinner. :)
Great location, nice rooms at a good price, nice people, almost everything was perfect.
Excellent dinner on the night of arrival and excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. The owner arranged the airport pick-up and English speaking tour guide
There was no hairdryer.
We stayed for 2 nights in the Riad. At the beginning it was hard to find but that is normal in the Medina. When we arrived Rachid explained everything and arranged a very nice dinner for us. He speaks perfect English. Since we didn't know our way around a friend of him picked us up and brought us to a nice restaurant. The second day he walked with us to the tanneries. The breakfast was good and normal (bread, jam, coffee, tea). We were the only people staying so it was very quiet. For the price it is a very nice Riad.
Rachid an his team were very friendly and helpful. He managed the transfer from the airport to Fes; picked me up at Rcif and we walked through the labyrinth of Fes Medina to the Riad. The informations for planning my sightseeing tour were very helpful. On the roof terrace you have a phantastic view over Fes Medina. The breakfast and the diner were excellent. I had a wonderful room in morocan style and felt like in 1001 nights.
I wish I could stay longer...
Best location, right next to the main mosque, so it's easy to find in the labyrinth of Fez. Manager Rachid is the best host possible. He waited for me for two hours at the train station when my train was late. He has great manner and was most considerate. The place is decorated with great taste and very very clean and comfortable
wifi did not work with iOS devices could be noisy if a lot of other guest stay at the hotel
location in medina breakfast at rooftop old style house, well renovated spacious for a medina house
Nothing to actually dislike, but be aware that at this amazing low price you can't expect toiletries etc.
We had the feeling of staying inside the ancient part of Fes, with easy access to so much! Rachid could not have been more helpful, he understood exactly what we wanted and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The roof terrace was amazing, really helped us understand how complex the medina was.Breakfasts were excellent.
A typical moroccan house that offers about 4 rooms to rent in front of Kairaouine Mosque. Rachid, the owner, will do his best so you feel at home. We preferred to find the place by ourselves, but he did offered to pick us up for free in one of the doors of the medina. He showed us a nice place to have dinner, that was completely hidden with authentic moroccan food. It gives you an option to discover fez as a local. The best thing the roof terrace, where you can have a great view of Fez. Wifi was excellent!
Do not forget to call to the hotel to be accompanied to the place.
The terrace is incredible for morning meal and evening relaxation. Rashid was very friendly and helpful. All necessary info about medina was provided so we were filing safe and comfortable.
The hotel urgently needs maintainence. Shabby and dark.
room had no window and was a little dark. Didn´t change that we had the best time in Marokko ever!
Service (fantastic!), position in the Medina, breakfast and dinner (fabulous!), roof-top terrace (the view is incredible!)
Rachid and the two girls were exceptional, extremely helpful and nice!
Very friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Great views from the terrace. I would warmly recommend this place while staying in Fes.
I was asked by member of staff to pay her for service at the and of stay. She said that I paid only for room and meal and should pay her for service too.
Very noisy if children staying.
The roof terrace, the position and the two girls looking after us
Fes is beautiful, though overwhelming: once you get in the riad you would expect a pause from the sellers. On a contrary, expect a show from Lhamia and her help: they would insist to clean your room in front of you, even though they have the key and they will call you from your room to ask you if you need a tea, a coffee- which will prove in the end to be overpriced: we payed between 12 and 16 dirham for a tea for both everywhere in the Medina, still they asked us 20 in the very last day- including probably the tip, even if we tipped them every day for breakfast (between 7 and 10 dirham-which probably was not enough). First we thought they are just over-friendly and we closed our eyes to the dirty cups of coffee (we stayed three days and they were always dirty-no accident) and the plumbing problems in the bathroom. But in the end we just felt like a bag of money: like for every smile and little thing like leaving your luggage for a few hours (which was no problem in the other riads) you will have to pay, otherwise you will observe Lhamia becomes nervous. The very last experience with them just left us a bad taste.
The terrace has indeed an incredible view over the Medina. Rashid was nice and friendly and his suggestions of visiting the labyrinth of Fes were very helpful.
Suggestions were a bit pushy for us.
Good location, good hospitality, nice building
Watch out for tourist traps. They can be found where you least expect them.
Truly enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff made us feel at home.
Good location, very nice riad/dar. Lamia and Rachid were excellent hosts. Fabulous view from the terrace.
The place is very traditional decorated.truly maroccan style.the room was very clean.but the most beautiful was the terrace and the view to all medina.hospitality of the staff was just as we aspected and specialy from the owner of riad mr.Rachid who was more than friendly and helpful with all suggestions and arrangements that he made for us.the right place to stay if you like to have the best experrience of medina in Fes.
