The price was reasonable for Fez. Rooms were clean and there was a nice terrace. Staff were very helpful and allowed us use of their kitchen. Location was excellent.
Rooms were a little small. There was no TV in the common area. Bathrooms were clean, but a bit bare.
The staff is really nice, the location great, there is a nice view from the terrace and the price is very good.
Very friendly riad staff Awsome terrase (nice view of the city) Very good breakfast Nice place close to the main monuments
Simple room, with very simple bathroom
Hanane and Fatima were very welcoming and organised a taxi to and from the hotel, they met us at the car park and even escorted us to a restaurant on the first night. The room was a good size and the riad was imam excellent location to the main attractions. It had a lovely view of the medina from the terrace. Breakfast was basic but well prepared. I would definately recommend to stay here. You'll be well looked after.
We asked to check out the afternoon before as we had early flights the following morning and the bills wasn't calculated accurately, so the taxi driver asked for the balance on the journey to the airport.
Hanane and Hind are wonderful. They met us in the parking lot (in the rain), set up a hammam visit and waited for us, found us a guide for the medina, escorted us to a restaurant for dinner and waited, served a delicious breakfast (egg tagine, fresh juice, coffee, tea, bread, jam, msimmon) and had wonderful dinners available too. The rooms were very magically decorated and the location is excellent, right in the Medina. Parking is only a short walk away for 20dhs/night. Each room also had a heater that worked well (and aircon though it was too cold to test it)
There was a strong smell of cats in the rooms.
Lovely family, very helpful and friendly, we never felt like intruders. Great service from Fhatima. Wonderful view from roof terrace.
No major issues. Perhaps could do with a shelf in the bathroom, and a bedside lamp, but otherwise everything fine.
position, breakfast and staff (the girl of the breakfast)
the change euro/dhiram...talk about it before paying
The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed like family: they met us at the entrance of the walled city so we wouldn't get lost, helped us find reasonable transportation to the airport for our departure, and walked with us to meet our taxi the day we left. We even had nice chats in the evening with her aunt and sisters. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower always had hot water and soap and shampoo were provided. The WiFi strength was good. The location was great as there were many little shops around, a couple places to eat, and within walking distance to BabBoujloud. The breakfast that was included with our stay was yummy and enough to get us started for the day.
Nothing to dislike.
It was a very nice Riad with a wonderful staff. We would stay there again and hope that we are able to return. The hotel was in an excellent location and very convenient to most locations in the Medina.
The bathroom was not up to European/ American standards. However, it was better than the bathroom in the other hotel we stayed in while in Rabat and the hotel in Rabat was twice the price.
The two owners, Hanane and the other woman are so welcoming and kind! we felt like home! a huge thank you to them :) Lugar decorado con mucho gusto, beautiful house and rooms looking to the Medina. It is located right in the center of the Old Medina. Also nice breakfast at the top floor
really friendly personnel. great view from the rooftop over the old medina. good breakfast
- Located in the medina, but just off the major roads, so not too much noise. Also easy to navigate. - Rooftopterrace is really nice - Pickup service from airport is great.
- Bathroom was quite smelly. - Overall it was okay, but not as hospitable as expected and i missed information in general, maybe because of limited knowledge of English.
We wanted to stay in in Fez for just one night but after meeting Hanane and his family and this beautiful riad, we decided to stay there for three nights and use Fez to visit the neighboorhoods (Volubilis, Moulay Idriss, etc..). Hanane and her sister are excellent hosts and will try their best to make you feel at home and genuinely help you for any thing you may need (a taxi, a guide, a shopping tour). Rooms are very romantic, painted with warm colors and furnished with typical moroccan furnutures. Wonderful candle lit dinner on the scenic terrace. Thanks Hanane and good luck with your project to enlarge the riad and make it one of the best in Fez!
Dar Naima was in a perfect location in the middle of the Medina. Our train came in at 1:00 am during Ramadan and our host, Hanane, was there to greet us and walked us to the Dar and sat us down with tea and cookies. The next day when we didn't have plans, Hanan took us with her into the Medina and showed us the markets and even waited while we shipped and look at the leather tanneries. Since it was Ramadan, eating out was difficult so we opted for the meals made at the Dar. They were delicious and affordable. The rest of the staff was great, too, and we always came home to a clean room. They even washed my dirty socks I left sitting out!
The only negative was that the shower didnt drain very well but after the room was cleaned everyday all the standing water was gone.
Staff was extremely friendly, and would be happy to assist you with anything. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was amazing, so tasteful and luxurious, was like at a 5 star place. And so was the view. When we had to leave very early in the morning, breakfast was specially left for us at the door
Location can be hard to find, you'll need a guide to bring you (the riad will contact you, and give instructions to the cab driver)
Hind and Hanna are like a family for their guest. They help you to enjoy the best of fez. They can arrange a good guide (not expensive/ fine english) and are located in a small (save) street in the center of the medina. Please try the diner because the chef is whithout a doubt the best in the whole city! We slept in the small cheap room (for us ok). The bigger rooms we did see... very nice. There are only a few roof-top-terasses, Dar Naima has one with a view over the mountains and the medina. The city of Fez is much more relaxed than Marrakech (you can check products without buying).
The hotel is not finished so we were a little confused when we arrived.
