Score from 202 reviews Wonderful
The owner of the Riad is not very friendly. Price quality one of the worst roads I have ever stayed in Morocco.
beautifully restored riad, furnished and arranged with a great taste (furniture, lamps, pictures, plants...details), very nice bathroom. we loved the terrace. very nice and helpfull staff and owner. there is nothing other to say than this was in 2,5 weeks the most beautiful and cleanest place we have stayed in marocco.
there is really nothing.
Quaint property, nicely designed rooms. Fire lit at night which was a nice place to retreat to at night. Breakfast on the terrace was a treat, particularly the yoghurts... Except the seagulls of course! The female staff were particularly helpful when out child was I'll, helping us to arrange a doc trams collect a prescription.
The taxes added on to the bill... Not expected and begrudged!
Ali, the front desk person was incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious.
The one night that Ali was not at the riad, the other staff person was not so helpful and there was no one on staff when we needed to check out, so one of the cleaning staff ended up helping us check out.
Just a nice place to stay. Close to the main Square but tucked away in a quiet alley.
Took a while to find since it is kind of down a scarey looking tunnel. Not scarey at all though.
Very friendly staff accomodating our needs and kindly recommending restaurants, hammans, etc. Very quiet and clean place and simple morrocan decor, good beds and nice breakfast.
The front door gives no indication of how good this Riad is. It's beautifully renovated with a sunny terrace and large, stylish rooms. The staff are very friendly and while it's right next to the main square it's quiet at night. The nicest place I've stayed in Morocco.
The staff atention.
Location was very good - close to main square, good restaurants, nice spot to watch sunset, close to beach. We quickly realised that Essaouira was not our ideal holiday destination so asked the hotel to reduce our stay to 2 nights from the original 3 night booking. They did this without trouble and were very personable about it.
Breakfast was quite heavy with just bread (no fruits, no yoghurt) The hotel felt quite damp and moist - bed and pillows smelt like damp. The view is not really a view of the sea - you can mainly see into the unfinished construction work behind the hotel. Essaouira was a bit too windy and we would be unlikely to return as it felt quite uncomfortable at times. Not the type of place you can sit on the beach / walk comfortably close to the beach.
Peaceful, lovely terrace, very comfy bed and excellent breakfast all in An ideal central location
Dar Ness is a very nice riad in a great location just off the main square. It is very comfortable and clean. If you are driving, there is a large, secure parking lot on the other side of the square.
There is no wi-fi in the rooms, and even in the public areas it is very weak.
Very nice and helpful staff. Location in the medina, very close to the old port. No street noise in the room, fortunately.
Breakfast somewhat poor by European standards (no sausages, eggs, or omelette). No elevator, just narrow stairs (this might be difficult for the people who are not physicaly fit...), but this is because the building is not modern! The town is very small, nothing to do if you stay for more than 2 days and are not surfer...
Location and helpfulness of staff. The Riad was very traditional and authentic. The price was good value for money. It was situated very near the harbour, restaurants and a bar.
The layout and size of our bedroom limited any storage space and the stair case down to the bathroom/dressing area was very steep and difficult to negotiate.
Excellent location! The riad is located right off the main square, which was especially nice at night. The staff was kind and we were offered mint tea each night, which we really appreciated. The staff cleaned our room each day and replaced the towels. The riad is much closer to the sea than we expected--a pleasant surprise! I would definitely recommend the riad!
Everything was great except it would've been nice to know the total cost of our stay before checkout. We imagined there may be an extra tax, which we were fine with, but it was much higher than we anticipated and we didn't have enough durham to cover the total cost.
Excellent location in the medina right off the main square. Quiet at night. Lovely, pristine room and beautifully tiled bathroom and shower. Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff. You can't go wrong staying at this Riad.
Spaciousness of Riad that was hard to guess from the outside
Many thanks to the nice and helpful personal. We will come back! Christian, Robert, Laci and Benki

Lovely place to stay in a great location. Short walk from the bus terminal. Staff very friendly & printed off boarding passes without a fee. Large room with nice décor. Recommend to anyone.
Great location in the heart of the medina but be aware that access to the Riad is down a slightly undesirable alley way (quite common in Morrocco so you get over that quickly). Communal areas of the Riad are nice and relaxed and we particularly enjoyed sitting by the open fire in the evenings and lounging on the terrace in the day. The price is reasonable for the location and level of comfort received.
We stayed in the cheaper double duplex room which is basically a cupboard under the stairs with more internal stairs going down to a private shower and toilet. No door on toilet area is slightly unnerving as your partner in the bedroom can hear everything! Unfortunately this room was noisy at night/mornings (because you hear people going up and down the stairs to their rooms above) and the bedding felt damp because the room gets very little natural light. A hairdryer was not provided in the room however one was available from reception for a short period of time.
We were allocated a very light, clean and airy room on the roof. The breakfast was substantial, with fresh orange juice, strong coffee and a different kind of pastry every day. The staff were attentive. The decor was attractive.
The very lumpy pillow - but I should have mentioned it at the time!
Lovely people. They upgraded us for free. Nice spot, close to everything. Cosey common room with fire.
In winter the rooms are a bit cold as they have small open holes in the wall and no heating in the rooms. Summer would be lovely.
1. The local tax 2.50 EUR should by incorporated in total price. Otherwise it is bit tricky issue. I missed hot water during my 4 nights stay.
staff were great, location is top and hotel is beautifull
it really was one of the nicest place we stayed in Morocco. decor, staff, location, breakfast all top class
we were in a beautiful double room but with twin beds pushed together when we were expecting 1 double bed for a couple
