Loved the terraces and all of the beautiful decorations throughout the home!
We dont speak french or arabic, only spanish and english and found it hard to communicate with the staff.
Beautiful breakfast, lots of books, and a sense of past artistic history. Loved!
Great and helpful staff, great view, location, fantastic breakfast on the terrace.
Staff was very accommodating. Helped with taxi from distant ferry, touring and dining recommendations. Open and cheerful. Funky, charming, welcoming facilities.
Confusion over rooms, rates. Bookkeeping is not a strong suit.
Beautiful view from the roof tops
None of the staff could speak English. Owner very indifferent I guess if you were French that would of been ok. No air con. Strong sewerage smell, cramped room, bathroom down steep stairs had to watch didn't hit you're head on the way down. Laundry put in came back so late almost had to leave without it plus the whites came back a blue grey colour.
Traditional style rooms, nicely decirate and very clean. Try the terrace for great views of the Medina and tasty mojitos.
The breakfasts were amazing and the view from the terrace was lovely. Our room and others that I saw were tastefully decorated.Staff was pleasant.Seemed very good value.
The owner seemed unfriendly at times, cool and aloof.Did not offer helpful assistance in terms of hands on problem solving that some hotels are better at.Hotel difficult to locate.
The view from the terrace is stunning. Breakfast is great.
We had a lovely time until last minute when we ask one of the members of the staff to help us to post our post cards and he replied in french very impolitely that he had to much work to do to help us. That destroyed our hole good image of Dar Nour.
good location, nice staff.
The bath tub was very dirty, nothing was plugged in when we got there, I need to use the refrigerator but didn't work the first night, TV was not working neighter, not worth the price
Small guesthouse in the heart of the Kasbah of Tangiers, traditional Moroccan furniture in small rooms / suites with little libraries, lots of stairs with low ceilings. You can just imagine what the lives of Paul Bowles and Elisa Chimetti might have been like. Spectacular roof terraces with 360 degrees views of the city. Philippe and his team do their best to make you feel at home. A must is the traditional Moroccan-Andalusian music next doors at 7.30 p.m.
I had mini-suite Salam, which was quite comfortable and had good internet. The last night I had to relocate and was offered mini-suite Fayzah without internet. Ended up in Itaf room with limited internet and inconvenient bathroom on a different floor. Breakfast is mostly Moroccan sweets - should perhaps also include hearty options.
The best of Tangier is this Riad. The owner, Philipe, is very kind., and tried to speak with me in English eventhough is nt his language. The breakfast was great and the mini living rooms very interesting. Zachariah really help me understanding the facilities of the Riad and also the medina. He was the only person who speak English very well.
Because there was nobody who speak English it got a little bit uncomfortable.
Staff were very nice and wine was available. Breakfast great
One of the most memorable places I have stayed. Our arrival was somewhat concerning due to the taxi driver being unsure of where the hotel was and we thought we were going to someone's house. Really unique setting, and once we realised we were 'safe' we really marvelled at the hotel. Truly beautiful and truly Moiroccan. Breakfast on the rooftop was out of this world. Recommended.
Thought the price was up there, but it did reflect the high quality of the place. Seating was good, but certainly no western-type reclining couches. Comfort rating is 'good' but I would have ticked very good if there was one
Superb location, friendly staff and a great roof terrace to look on to Tangiers.
the dar nour is situated in the middle of the Kasbah you have to get out of the taxi at the top of the road and walk down a very narrow street where there is only numbers on doors and would not be possible to find unless someone showed you where is it, I think you should be aware of this if you have never been to this area before.
The decore, furnishing, location and staff!
