very nice people - nice room very comfortable - good location
The Wifi was really slow.
We only stayed in Tangier for a night as we were taking a flight back to the Uk from Tangier. Didn't move around a lot in Tangier so we stayed in Dar Rif for most of our time. Zak was a great host, spending the night with us on the lovely rooftop terrace telling us all about Tangier and making us feel very welcomed. I'm glad we stayed here in Tangier. Breakfast was great too.
Not recommended to walk through Medina at nighttime, it did not feel pleasant already during early evening, just after it turned dark (this is true for the whole medina though).
Breakfast was amazing, including fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, apples etc)! Breakfast is served on the roof terrace. Rooms in hotel are very quiet, you are not woken up by the Mosques (whereas many other locations this was a common problem, we heard from many tourists we talked to in restaurants, they needed earplugs).
The breakfast is without a doubt the best we had in morocco. The staff were amazing, especially Kamal, who took the time to get to know us over a cup of Morocco's famous mint tea.
Friendliness and professional attitude from the staff. Beautiful location with a gorgeous panoramic views of the sea and Medina.
The only negative thing that we can say was that the room sometimes smelled like cigarette smoke whenever someone, somewhere was smoking. But this wasn't really different to anywhere else we've stayed in Morocco.
We had a lovely two night stay at the Dar Rif and the staff really made it a memorable stay - they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and excited to be in Tangier.
The rooms are very nice and cosy, the breakfast was very tasty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
Although we had a private bathroom, we had to cross a central common room to access it.
Our room was at the ground floor Without any windows. The room was very damp and mold smell was very strong. Since there was no windows and no air circulation, air was very damp. No de-humidifier nor heater was available. Air conditioner, but no heater. Mold smell from bed and pillows were too strong. We asked twice to change the room since we stayed three days. They said yes twice, but never changed our room. Receptionist does not speak English, but she was friendly. Their services were mixed. We will not come back again.
Breakfast was very tasty. Staff was very friendly, but their services were mixed.
It's located en a small, dark street, a bit difficult to find the first time, after, very easy, but still a bit spooky in the night.
The service ultrakind, all of them. The place, superclean. Our room was a bit too small, but for the prize we paid, correct. Breakfast not too fancy, but also correct. I think the relation between prize-quality is quite ok.
Friendly staff, good location in the Medina.
The type of our room (Azul Twin Room) has no window which is right next to the reception. The washbasin was out of order and we could not use it. We had to wash our hands under shower. And also TV was out of order. The room was a little bit humid.
Tangier came to us a bir terrifying but we felt safe inside the hotel. Both the lady and the guy (Zaceria) were really kind, helpful and friendly. It is located right in the middle of the old town and 5 min. walking distance away from the port. You don't need to take a cab or sth. They served mint tea and coffee for welcoming us in the terrace which has a really nice city scene. They serve the breakfast in terrace also and the breakfast is various, nice and tasty. They have a restaurant very close to hotel. It is local, secure, tasty, and cheap.
comfortable rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good value
The Kebdani suite had only a saloon door and no real bathroom door.
Very nice riad in the center of the medina. The staff was very nice and the rooms very clean and comfortable. We were a group of ten and booked three double rooms and an appartment for four. The rooftop terrace offers a nice view over the medina and coastine.
Room a bit small and dark as is often the case with interior riad rooms, but very cosy so not a big deal.
Location, staff, cleanliness, wonderful breakfast on the rooftop terrace.
Location, staff, terrace, breakfast - in short amazing place.
-very limited accommodation facilities: room is small and sparsely furnished (e.g. 1 chair for 3 people) - poor sound proofing. we heard every small sound coming from the staircase. -Hot water is barely sufficient for one person, whereas the room is officially for 3-4 people. When one takes a shower, water splashes everywhere, wetting the toilet seat. There is no shower curtain. Basically the room and bathroom are too small to provide basic facilities. - internet connection was poor, worked only sometimes and painfully slow.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. They did their utmost in trying to address the problems we experienced.
The people in the riad were very kind to us. The two guys that manage the riad Kamal and Saliha were great persons, open to all the questions we had about the city and the interesting points.
Room a bit small (for a queen sized bed). Heating took a while to be effective.
Location. Staff friendliness. Wifi. Breakfast. Terrace.
Rooms were amazing. Small but very comfortable and CLEAN. In bathroom there were local beauty products. The most convenient beds in the whole world. Perfectly located. Signs on the streets so it's easy to find it.
Nothing to complain about whatsoever
Everything was great: the welcoming staff, the pretty hotel, the comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Our stay was perfect and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chefchaouen.
Everything. Clean with a great roof top deck
Location is not where it's marked on Google Maps!! Have to follow overhead signs carefully when you walk through the medina looking for this place. We had one of the rooms at the upper level - it was an extremely cold room, no heat! Everything damp and moldy, mold on the walls, towels, everywhere. Bed hard as a rock. Pillows even harder. Sink did not drain, overall plumbing was terrible. Lighting was very poor, broken lights everywhere. Breakfast doesn't start until late (9am) and it's only one piece of bread and some jam/butter. I guess for €30/night you get what you pay for, but there are tons of dars and riads in Fes that are probably much better than this dump.
Staff was OK. Hot water in the shower was good.
Difficult to find in the old medina
Wonderful helpful staff ... Very comfortable accommodation with lovely little extra touches ! Nice soaps and lavender in the bathrooms . Good breakfast on the rooftop terrace . Great value for money
The receptionist was very nice to us. We agreed to move immediately after we checked in, to an upper floor as there was a family with children that needed our room (they needed 2 rooms on the same floor). She felt indebted for this, so she bought me a little present as a thank you gift. Good location near Hotel Continental, easy to get there by taxi. Room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was nice on the terrace. Also they were nice to keep our luggage until late in the night.
