comfortable rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good value
Very nice riad in the center of the medina. The staff was very nice and the rooms very clean and comfortable. We were a group of ten and booked three double rooms and an appartment for four. The rooftop terrace offers a nice view over the medina and coastine.
The Kebdani suite had only a saloon door and no real bathroom door.
Location, staff, cleanliness, wonderful breakfast on the rooftop terrace.
Room a bit small and dark as is often the case with interior riad rooms, but very cosy so not a big deal.
Location, staff, terrace, breakfast - in short amazing place.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. They did their utmost in trying to address the problems we experienced.
-very limited accommodation facilities: room is small and sparsely furnished (e.g. 1 chair for 3 people) - poor sound proofing. we heard every small sound coming from the staircase. -Hot water is barely sufficient for one person, whereas the room is officially for 3-4 people. When one takes a shower, water splashes everywhere, wetting the toilet seat. There is no shower curtain. Basically the room and bathroom are too small to provide basic facilities. - internet connection was poor, worked only sometimes and painfully slow.
The people in the riad were very kind to us. The two guys that manage the riad Kamal and Saliha were great persons, open to all the questions we had about the city and the interesting points.
Location. Staff friendliness. Wifi. Breakfast. Terrace.
Room a bit small (for a queen sized bed). Heating took a while to be effective.
Rooms were amazing. Small but very comfortable and CLEAN. In bathroom there were local beauty products. The most convenient beds in the whole world. Perfectly located. Signs on the streets so it's easy to find it.
Everything was great: the welcoming staff, the pretty hotel, the comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Our stay was perfect and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chefchaouen.
Nothing to complain about whatsoever
Everything. Clean with a great roof top deck
Staff was OK. Hot water in the shower was good.
Location is not where it's marked on Google Maps!! Have to follow overhead signs carefully when you walk through the medina looking for this place. We had one of the rooms at the upper level - it was an extremely cold room, no heat! Everything damp and moldy, mold on the walls, towels, everywhere. Bed hard as a rock. Pillows even harder. Sink did not drain, overall plumbing was terrible. Lighting was very poor, broken lights everywhere. Breakfast doesn't start until late (9am) and it's only one piece of bread and some jam/butter. I guess for €30/night you get what you pay for, but there are tons of dars and riads in Fes that are probably much better than this dump.
Wonderful helpful staff ... Very comfortable accommodation with lovely little extra touches ! Nice soaps and lavender in the bathrooms . Good breakfast on the rooftop terrace . Great value for money
Difficult to find in the old medina
The receptionist was very nice to us. We agreed to move immediately after we checked in, to an upper floor as there was a family with children that needed our room (they needed 2 rooms on the same floor). She felt indebted for this, so she bought me a little present as a thank you gift. Good location near Hotel Continental, easy to get there by taxi. Room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was nice on the terrace. Also they were nice to keep our luggage until late in the night.
Kamal was a ierfrct host. Always smiling and offered mint tea on the roof terrace. Roof terrace is terrific and comfortable. Breakfasts great also
Kamal was amazing at making use feel very comfortable and welcomed. He was very kind and attentive. The food he made was also amazing.
nicest staff very helpful
kindness of Kamal. very helpful staff. inspiring rooftop terrace. tasty breakfast. charming atmosphere. 5 min walk to william burroughs' ghost in the kasbah. a bit of magic.
maybe we should have stayed longer.
Good location and staff helpful. Great breakfast on the rooftop.
Not good if you are claustrophobic as bedroom very small but still comfortable
The owner is fantastic. Clearly proud of his home/business and was uncommonly hospitable. Mint tea and biscotti to welcome us. Location is very cool, if not a little mysterious.
Facilities aren't spectacular, but you probably shouldn't be expecting that in a 2000-year-old city.
-Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Kamal was very nice and always smiling -Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. Each had a TV and bathroom. Wi-fi worked well -Roof top terrace had great views of medina and port. -Staff asked if we wanted a different room when it wasnt fully booked.
Nothing really-small rooms but they were cozy and comfortable
Authentic Moroccan hospitality, afternoon tea on the rooftop terrace, breakfast on the rooftop terrace, all in the heart of the old medina. Dar Rif was clean and the hosts were kind and helpful and it was just right for us.
The staff is very warmhearted and friendly, so that you immediately feels fine. The rooms are furnished in the moroccan style. The Dar Rif itself lies in the middle of the Medina of Tanger and so you can have a experience of the intact everyday life, infront of the door. So the Dar Rif ist ideally for everyone who want to come to a little closer to the true Morocco.
For whom it is important, the Internet is not always fast and reliable . But that should not interest any one who travels in Morocco.
Character laden small hotel in the old quarter of Tangiers. Hidden up a small lane the hotel was convenient to the centre of the old quarter and the many small lanes surrounding it. Also close to the Casbah with great views over the city and ocean.
Our room was very small but the small secure entrance hall allowed us further room for our luggage.
First Riad at which we ever stayed. Had no idea what to expect. It was quite delightful and the young lady at the desk led us up to tea on the terrace. The mint tea and the view were terrific. They own a marvelous intimate restaurant just down the street where the food was excellent, very reasonable and the staff was charming and entertaining.
Nice welcome, staff is young, very helpful and friendly (they speak French, English and Spanish very well)! Breakfast is very good, Moroccan tea is fabulous... Very close to the port, to Continental Hotel (say you want to get there to the taxi driver) and to 'Petit Socco'.
Wifi signal is poor on suite on second floor and on terrace. It could be easy to put a wifi extender... Suite is a little bit expensive compared with other parts of Morocco.
