Great location, good experience of how you imagine Marrakech to be. Very clean riad and lovely staff. Lots of fun for a few days!
The medina isn't for everyone, and for us 1-2 nights was enough fun. There are associated problems staying in a dirty area...
Staff service was excellent
Riad is a little difficult to navigate to
Can't fault this place. 5 min walk to the square. The staff were not only friendly but extremely helpful with food recommendations and generally helping us find our way around. Room was excellent, the breakfasts were delicious. I will definitely be coming back to stay at Dar Silsila.
The only issue I can thing of was that our airport transfers failed to show up on both occasions. However, the guys at Dar Silsila sorted out new transfers within minutes so it was really of no inconvenience to us.
Incredible Riad! Rooms are super clean and it four terraces are amazing. Staff is the BEST! Perfect location; only 5 minutes walking to the main square. Very safe neighborhood.
Charming staff, very helpful whatever we requested. They found a great guide for the souks for us, arranged our travel to and from the airport and recommendations for places to go and places to eat. The hamman, scrub and massage were heavenly!
We loved the beautiful room, the attentive and helpful staff, the location and the price. My entire stay was wonderful. We got great recommendation fron Mohhamed for a tour guide, restaurants, etc. we took a 3 day desert tour and came back to an upgraded room where our luggage was already stored. Would stay again and recommend to all.
There was nothing to dislike.
Rooftop is nice a cozy, location is excellent.
Our room was noisy, water in pipes makes a lot of noise even if no one is using the bathroom. Bathtub is very small. The glare from the coloured glass in the room is not comfortable when you want a little light in the room when sleeping.
In a country where everyone and their granny appear to be trying to fleece you for your money we found the staff more than helpful, caring and informative. The Raid was of the best quality and a 'safe' haven from the outside amazing crazy city!
The location was excellent so handy to everything we wanted to see/visit but like all the Raids you need to get used to the alleyways which lead to the main entrance!
Terrace and sitting area Very kind personnel
No WIFI in the rooms extra services expensive (laundry, water, food...) transportation to the airport too expensive
1 - the location right near the medina. It was a welcome sanctuary in a frenetic place. 2 - the staff were extremely professional, warm and accommodating. In fact, there wasn't the room type we booked so we were upgraded at no additional cost. We were given really good recommendations for meals and activities, and booked last minute airport transfers for us. 3 - the facilities were very comfortable, the room lovely, and the bed was awesome!!
I didn't have anything I disliked about the riad itself. If I have to think of something helpful for improvement...maybe having basic toiletries available? Such as soap, shampoo. Oh, and the bathtub in the lovely suite that we stayed in was a little funky. The fiberglass floor of the tub seemed like it was broken. But that's a simple maintenance/repair issue. I wouldn't have minded if the riad offered something like simple cooking classes or a small inventory of local products. Kind of like a one-stop-shop. I might never want to leave the riad!!
Friendly staff Good location Nice room Good food
Noisy workmen Not really a pool
