Dar Tahrya  

We really enjoyed our stay in Dar Tahrya. The room was very clean and spacious with very nicely decorated bathroom and big shower room. The room had an amazing bed and Moroccan deco through out. The space outside of the room was a restaurant were we enjoyed our breakfast with very friendly and helpful staff. It's right in the middle of Fez Medina and although it is difficult to find this place initially, it's definitely worth it.

On arriving at the airport we were greeted by a friendly taxi driver who agreed a price of 150 Dhirams to take us to Fez He called the hotel for us. We were met at "the blue gate" by Youness, a worker from the hotel who helped us with our bags. After that the hotel was always easy to find again. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate and a welcome change to "self service eat as much as you like European style efforts". And this is how it went, we were actually served. Genuine hospitality. Genuine people. A lot of tea. Youness or Fushia were always at hand to answer questions or direct us. The medina is amazing and challenging. Fortunately for us, staying in the Dar Tahyra ensured our experience was delightful. The key was to ask for help and Youness and Fushia made that easy. Gary and Gaby

There was sometimes a smell from the bathroom. It came from the drain as the bathroom was spotless.

Getting to the BnB is a bit confusing, as is anything in the entire medina, but we gave 2€ to a man who carried our bags and escorted us to Dar Tarhya. The staff was incredibly friendly and greeted us with Moroccon whiskey, which we unfortunately could not take because of our rush for our tour of fes. The place is beautiful and has a great homey feel, our room was so cute and comfy as well. Younnes, one of the staff, was even so nice enough to give us some history of Fes and Morocco, and escort us to dinner one of our nights there. Loved this place and recommend to anyone!

Good location, cafe, shops - everything is near by. Perfect staff, feels like you are really welcome guest of this riad (thanks to the Fushia and Younnes). Tasty breakfasts and beautiful national design of whole riad, everything clear and they even have own fountainlet! Whonderful place!

In winter it is cold to stay (18-19 degrees) in the rooms without heating, but how I understood it is normally for all moroccan houses - to have no heating system. French is preferable for staying in the riad, or at least little Enlish to talk with Younnes.

Dar Tahrya has exceeded our expectation. The staff were incredibly warm , Kind and generous. The location was excellent . the easiest way to get to Dar Tahrya from the Gate Bab Boujloud is 1- Hire a person with a 2 wheels carriage for 10 Derham and he will take you and carry your luggage to the door steps of the Dar Tahrya. Or 2- Arrive to the Gate of Bab Boujloud , from the gate turn right , then take left. Then Second lane turn left , Half way look up in front you will see a blackboard with a sign to show Dar Tahrya then turn right ( very small lane). Dar Tahrya was and enjoyable experience for my wife and I. Great atmosphere and very authentic . Serving beautiful breakfast . Our room was very large ,clean and comfortable. Beautiful courtyard and very relaxing. We did not feel like to leave Dar Tahrya. Thanks to the owner , Mr Ali , Mr Younis and Madam Fawzia. Great efforts and great team. 10/10 Thank you Dar Tahrya

Where do i begin! an absolutely perfect place to stay, the riad was beautiful, nice traditional decor, the room was clean, comfortable and had all we needed. Breakfast was delicious and lots provided and different each day, we loved the pancakes! The owner and his collegue/friend were very welcoming and accommodating. They always smiled, were happy to see us, and chatted too us. Mint tea was always made for our return from the hectic day even though not asked for, (and was the best we drank the entire 3 weeks in Marocco). The owner organised day trips and tours, recommeded restaurants - all without hesitation. We were sent a email the day before check-in, welcoming us and telling us about how to get there- a 'heads up' on fez. On arrival into fez the owner came to meet us at the enterance to the medina to guide us through the busy difficult streets which was a great help and a relief. Just a really homely, safe, peaceful, relaxed but professionally run place to stay. Was the best accomdation we had in Marocco. It made our trip to fez special and memorable. I cannot praise this place enough.

I really enjoyed the stay a lot ! People working there are very nice !! Rooms very nice and clean. The internet connection very good. Would stay there again next time.

Posizione ottima, non è il top dei riad ma per chi vuole risparmiare ed avere comunque un discreto servizio è consigliabile

Het personeel van Dar Tahrya was echt heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam, het ontbijt was erg goed. Locatie midden in de medina. Kamer luxe en comfortabel (wij hadden wel een aparte badkamer). Ik vind de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding uitstekend.

Excelente trato del personal. La atención fue extremadamente buena. El Riad es precioso con un restaurante al lado con muy buena calidad y precio.

Un poco fria la habitacion.

Séjour trés agréable au Dar Tarya, le personnel est aux petits soins. Le cadre est magnifique et calme, tout en étant idéalement placé dans le coeur de la médina de Fès. Nous recommendons chaudement ce ryad pour une escapade à Fès!

Fijn ontvangst. We konden meteen via Dar Tahrya een goede gids krijgen voor een goede prijs. De kamers zijn ook erg mooi.
