Score from 51 reviews Very good
The Riad is situated on the outskirts of Imlil village, near the river, and has views of the Kasbah and Toubkal. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Kasbah.

This Berber-style hotel sits on the edge of the Lake Takerkoust, 30 km from Marrakech. It has 2 outdoor pools and a wooden terrace with a boat-shaped bar overlooking the Atlas Mountains.

satff spoke fluently english and spanish, french,... beutiful site, nice terasse, delicious food, clean, much hot water available, nice hiking place
very cold- heater did not succeed in warming the room, somewhat dark room, very expensive dinner and water (150 dirham per person per day) with no alternatives, bad road to hotel which the taxi driver hated, internet very slow
Magnificent views of the valley. The town offers you a perfect environment for relaxing and do some trekking.
The images offered in booking of the standard rooms don't correspond to reality, the real rooms have no windows, are very small and dark and the door faces the main hall. After complaining about this issue the reaction of the staff wasn't good and we had to insist so they finally gave us the "suite". This room was better but I wouldn't consider it a suite: it was cold at night because of a very bad isolation, and also had filtrations of water through walls making some puddles to appear in the floor. The main hall had no roof so even if in the photos it seems to be a perfect place to stay warm, it's very cold. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it in winter. One of the most annoying things is the dinner that they serve: no variety in the menu, very little and simple food for a lot of money: 15€ (far more expensive than other places in Morocco). Plus, they wanted to charge "extra cost" for water in an exorbitant price (20 MAD).
all of it
A total contrast to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and Essouira. Stumbled upon this place by accident when booking a last-minute two day trip to the Atlas mountains. Fantastic location, and very friendly helpful staff who made our party of three adults and two ten-year old boys very welcome.
The evening meal was a bit pricey at 150d (but it was delicious..). The building is very open and airy so make sure you bring more warm clothes than we did.... And if you are told that it only takes half an hour to walk along the river bed to Ourigaine multiply that by four!
Excellent, friendly, wonderful staff. Couldn't fault them!
The fantastic staff and the isolated location of the Dar Tassa Atlas mountain retreat were just what we were looking for. Lunch and dinner on the terrace overlooking the mountains was delilghtful and the food was great. If you're looking for a real retreat, Dar Tassa is for you. My only regret is that we weren't there longer to take advantage of some of the great treks and programs the staff offer.
wonderful manager sayeed (sp)? who showed us a very nice time Food was excellent!!
very far removed from anything you need a car if you want to eat out. Only thing to do is relax and hike. No hamman as advertised. Pool is located at Kasbah Africa. a one hour hike This should not be advertised as being a part of Dar Tassa
It is a wonderful place for travelers who want to relax and 'clean their mind'. Wonderful nature, calmness, very polite staff, wonderful terrace, delicious food and a lot more..
We don't like the road to the hotel
Dar Tassa was beautiful... Wonderful location and great staff. The manager, Said, greeted us kindly. The food here was excellent... Authentic tagines, well-spiced and very flavorful. The room was very comfortable (with heat during the winter months) and clean. The Berber village is nice to walk through. We took grand taxis from Marrakech to the Dar Tassa turn-off and paid very little money. Then we hiked the 6 km to the resort along the dirt road.
Wifi was not working (usually not an issue, but was a working vacation for us and we specifically chose this location because it had internet access), and we were not told about this before coming. Also, the fire place is nice but very smoky... All of our things smelled heavily of smoke!
great natural beauty, descriptions on how to find the remote location were very clear, local staff are very open to share their house with guests....very well maintained and professionally run, excellent value, lots of food.loved the stay..
As already told by other guests this place is very relaxing. Eating on a terrace with a view was magnificent.
Shared bathroom shower wet the whole bathroom floor, which was a bit inconvenient. 2 course dinner for 150MAD + 25MAD water bottle was more expensive than in other places in Morocco.
