Score from 63 reviews Excellent
The riad enjoys an exclusive location in the Medina of Marrakesh, in the privileged district of Bab Doukkala, just minutes from the famous Jemaa el Fna Square and of the souks (markets).

My brother, my sister and I booked into the ‘Classic Suite Tilila’ twice at the end of November 2014 (first for 3 nights and a bit later for another 2 nights) and we absolutely enjoyed our time at the Dar Titrit. Our room and the whole guesthouse have style and are well looked after. Everything was clean and so were the bed sheets. Even some towels and shampoo were available in the bathroom. The Dar has two very nice patios and a nice roof top; one of the patios is even protected from rain by a unique, transparent plastic cover, allowing you to have breakfast in that very bright and convenient court even if it’s pouring rain. The breakfast was simple but good. Every other day we even got fruits or cakes on top of the standard breakfast. Our suite was spacious even for three people and had the right mix of style, cosiness and plainness for us. The windows had good shutters, keeping every light from outside away if you want. There is no heating in the room but a heavy Infrared heater in the bathroom for instant, short-term use. We were happy with that all through the week (we picked the worst November weather Marrakesh had for years!). Warm water was always available. At the time we were there, the Dar was not fully booked; so it was a very quiet place. I’m not sure how noisy it can get in the Dar (one of the problems described for many Riads and Dars). However, given the situation of the two patios, the approachable staff and the fact that the Dar has only a few rooms available, my impression is that you must have bad luck if it’s getting too noisy for sleeping and you will probably always be able to reach out to the staff on duty if there are any problems. There is always a member of staff present, all through day and night! The best about the Dar indeed is the staff. We got our transfer from the airport organized by the Dar (recommended!) and though we got to the Dar as late as 10pm or so, we were warmly welcomed by the French owners in person.
Staff is very kind and helpful. Room and bathroom are big and confortable, but...
... you have no much privacy because all rooms are facing the same small common area. Staff didn't give us the short pathway to the Jemma el-Fna, but the long one. Just fond the shortcut the last day! When I asked about a good restaurant around, they told me to find one at Jemma el-FnaI... I was kind of disaponted considering the high score displayed on booking.com, wich I used to make my choice. Not a disaster, but far from fantastic!
Owners were away but Moroccan staff were helpful and friendly. Decor and overall ambience plus roof terrace all lovely. Good breakfast
Would have preferred to eat breakfast on roof terrace rather than in the rather dark dining room.
Perfect location, magically peaceful within an area of busy madness. It became home very quickly.
I would have liked more fruit with breakfast!
We stayed for 4 Nights in the 3 Bedroom Suite near the Pool. The small pool was great for our Child to calm down. The Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Getting there was a bit of a hassle. The description to get there could be a bit better. The roof terrace is a welcome highlight .
Paying Lodging tax for a 5 year old Child.
The greeting it was warm and hospitable. The rooftop terrace. Smell of homemade bread baking in the afternoon
Wifi worked only in room. Taxi driver did not collect us from the airport.
It is an excellent place to stay: Good location, quiet, extremely nice and helpful staff, spacious and cozy. Staff gave us good recommendations of what to do/not to do in Marrakesh. The breakfast was nice (homemade). Really nice people. Rooms were cozy, comfortable, good shower and bathroom. Location was good, like 10 minutes’ walk to the main square. It is not noisy. If I go back to Marrakesh, I will definitely stay there again.
Good location, very nice and helpful staff, clean, good breakfast. Thank you all!!! If we are back to Marrakech we'll stay again!
The staff were extremely helpful and made our stay really enjoyable. Home away from home. Wouldn't recommend the riad for families with young children.
The Riad is located in the Medina on a very safe location. The owners are very welcoming and helpfull. The rooms are spacefull, comfortabele and clean.Breakfast very good.
The riad was right in the madina so convenient tiget around The staff were helpfull in giving us directions Breakfast was adequate Rooms were spacious and clean
Would have wanted a bigger breakfast with more fruit
By far the best place I've ever stayed at. Amazing house, great location and very very kind owners. I simply felt at home.
Very nice riad and a very good locations; owners friendly and helpful; breakfast is nice (missing some sweets) and very abundant. Swimingpool very nice and good temperature. Our kind enjoyed it very much. Rooms very pleasant and very well decorated.
Like at home... without doing home job :J...
The kind hosts; cozy and quiet riad; walking distance from the main square
There were no negative aspects
Everyone at the Dar Titrit were very friendly and helpful. the Riad was beautiful, breakfasts sumptuous and position superb. If they offer you a collection service from the airport, take it as it is very difficult to find the first time you go there.
We stayed in Dar Titrit for a week, and we felt welcome all the time. We stayed there with our son on the Maha 3 bed room, which has a real spacious bath room. I am not sure if this room has 30m² as indicated; but right in front of the room there was a rather large lounge area. There we enjoyed to relax before we went back to the “Place” in the evening. Some other guest mentioned in their review the morning call of some cock; we could hear the cock – and the birds; and we could hear the muezzin. And still we slept so well in this quiet location and before leaving for our tours thru Marrakech we enjoyed the excellent breakfast. The location was perfect for us: Marrakech Museum and Medersa ben Youssef (the old Koran school) just 5 minutes away; Jema El Fna not more than 10 minutes. When going to the souks, you will enter them in the area where the craftsmen are still welding copper and brass figures and not there where they offer the fake Gucci and Armani stuff. There are good restaurants just in the close vicinity of the Dar Titrit, in case the evening feast on the “Place” is not what you are looking for. Conversation with our host was funny: I tried my French and our host answered in English. But at the end conversation was working well, although my French is not even basic level. This Ryad is very well run: The cleanliness is perfect, even the soap in the bathroom was organic Moroccan and not Procter&Gamble or Johnson&Johnson. Little things can make you feel welcome.
I do not remeber anything anoying or negativ
Lovely traditional riad tucked away from the souks. Exceptionally clean and beautifully furnished.
Disappointed that the beautiful water feature was covered over with a blue tarpaulin so we never got to see the courtyard as it was shown on the booking.com website.
Everythink was ok, friendly owner, fantastic location
The location was super and the Riad was very clean and tidy
The most fabulous hosts make you feel you have a new home in the Medina. An oasis in the Souk.
The location of the riad was fantastic and felt like a genuine Moroccan home. An incredibly calm experience within the hustle and bustle of a Marrakesh souk.
Whilst fine for us as my wife speaks French the owners english is limited so I'd encourage guests to be armed with French phrase book / vocab....
The couple and the rest of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the cook especially makes amazing biscuits! Best breakfast pancakes we've had in Morocco and nicest Riad we have stayed in
The alley which the riad is down is very dirty and full of rubbish at night. Not the fault of the Riad but didn't make for pleasant walk backs
