It was the perfect base for our stay in fez ...nothing to complain about ,,,
Very friendly owner, great place on the main Medina street
The doors are not marked
A great and friendly traditional Riad. Very helpful staff, a good place to stay in Fez.
quite and way from the busy medina yet easy to access. if you are afraid to get lost in the medina just arrange to meet the owner at the nearest carpark.
The staff was amazing and so friendly! They helped us with tours and gave us great food. Loved every minute of it!
We had a great stay here, our host was very nice and hospitable. The roof terrace was very pleasant. The room itself wasn't very luxurious but certainly good enough. The location is absolutely perfect, only 30 seconds from the main road in the medina.
Everything. Dar warda and the people were perfect. Staying anywhere else would be a mistake
Friendly owners and great location.
Great location, pleasant staff, nice room. All good.
The location is great, just 50 meters away from the main street of the Medina. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And the place is beautiful.
Perfect english. Kind and helpful people.
We booked a standard double room which is in the rooftop. The room is a small, old style and the air-conditioner is not working. But we were given a small heater that is OK. I saw other rooms at higher rate were more well decorated and comfortable. We will definitely change to these rooms if they were vacant. But Chakib is very friendly and can speak fluent English. Breakfast is enough.
Small room and no one tidy up the room and change towels every day. Also, please add a plate of the hotel name on the door as the no. "31" is almost illegible, especially we arrived after getting dark.
Great location in the medina, with views from the roof terrace. Lovely old building and great staff who will show you round the medina so you don't get lost. They'll also book taxis and day trips with local guides. Great value for money.
Dar Warda was a real find. Authentic, clean comfortable a home from home. Excellent value for money and centrally located in the heart of the Medina. Breakfast was comprehensive and plentiful. Chakib was unflappable and looked after all of our needs including tours and taxis with great efficiency. We would certainly recommend Dar Warda for those looking for a central base to explore this part of Morocco.
We liked all of Dar Warda and our experiences there.
Really great... the hospitality of the staff and their willing to help is the most valuable character. I strongly recommend it.
Very good location, value for money, friendly staff
Cold at night, no hairdryer and shampoo and gel (it was written in our booking)
The location is great, virtually on the main thoroughfare of the Médina. Staff were welcoming on arrival and offered mint tea, which was a nice touch. It cold this time of the year and got an extra thick blanket from the owner which made sure sleep was comfortable. There's also a beautiful terrace overlooking the Merinade, would be fantastic in the summer. l
This riad is difficult to find and I had GPS. The door entrance is right underneath the archway with the number 31 written black on brown, which was barely legible. A sign pointing to the entrance would not hurt or at least have the number in brighter colours. My bathroom needed updating; 1) For this price, toiletries should be provided 2) the toilet was not secured properly to the floor 3) the flush was loose and needed to be pressed hard.
Great location Very good breakfast Very friendly staff
nice clean hotel. nice breakfast, well located in the medina. very friendly owners who also organised our transfers (well worth the money) didnt rush us out the day we were checking out.
Being december, it was quite cold at night but once we asked, the owner gave us two great blankets which worked a treat.
I really enjoyed my stay at Dar Warda. Cute, nice and clean place in the medina. I thought that it was not that hard to find and its close to one of the two biggest streets in the medina. Just remind their number (31), we accidentally walked in to another persons house. ;-) The mattress was the nicest one on my whole trip.
A sign/name at the door would be good, otherwise no complaints!
no door on the toilet, and there is no any hanger to hang the clothes...
Absolutely the location and the roof top terrace was great for unwinding with a lovely view of the city of Fez
The keys were a nightmare, shouldn't be a problem but it made us really agitated!
- extremely helpful staff!!!! - located in the middle of the medina - typical marrocan riad with nice terrace - nice breakfast
- can be difficult to find (but the way to find it is an adventure and worth it ;-)) - we had a room with no door to the bathroom, which was awkward and made it a bit uncomfortable for us - despite all, I recommend staying there :)
Friendly and helpful hosts, excellent location in the medina, good breakfast in the morning, the possibility to book a trustworthy guide, authentic design with a real moroccan feel, bargain price.
Hard beds, you need to ask for new towels (but apparently, it is considered rude to enter someones room w/o permission, so not really a con), toilets were not functioning properly.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the location is perfect, right in the heart of the medina but still quiet at night.
Hard to find the first time but then really easy as long as you can find your way back to the main street. No problem really. Don't go if you have a problem with steep stairs!
