The riad enjoys an exclusive location in the Medina of Marrakesh, in the privileged district of Bab Doukkala, just minutes from the famous Jemaa el Fna Square and of the souks (markets).

This hidden away 3 room Riad was beautifully presented with friendly helpful staff and a wonderful breakfast. The room was great with lots of space and it's close to everything.
Be aware that although you book at Dar Zahia you may not stay there. Extra rooms are used at another Riad, 5 mins away that is also excellent but it is not Zahia. We didn't realise and our adult son who was travelling with us stayed at the second Riad but it was also very good but inconvenient and unexpected.
Brought in someone to speak english woke up early to serve me breakfast and help me out location
The property is different than the one on booking - different name, same owner - a bit confusing
Welcoming staff.excellent location.beautiful decor.
Air con didn't heat up room so very chilly at night.lack of a bath.
The staff were absolutely amazing, very caring, paid attention to detail. Very helpful. It has the feeling of being a guest at their house. Beautifully designed place and rooms. Breakfast was excellent. Attention to detail was excellent. A place I would stay in again without a doubt.
This hotel was in a good place for seeing the sites of the city. We walked everywhere. It was very quiet, no traffic noise. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The hotel also organised an excursion to the stunning Atlas mountains.
The shower was a bit hot and cold. There was no kettle in the room for a cup of English tea. However staff were more than happy to provide tea on request.
Beautiful place - quiet, peaceful, clean, great breakfast, attentive staff. The photos do not do this place justice - much more beautiful in real life. In the heart of the medina, close to the souks, restaurants, spas etc...
Only negative was that we couldn't pay with card as had been agreed, but this may have just been a temporary issue.
The attitude of the people working at Zahia is fantastic. Extremely helpful and welcoming. The facility is really appealing to the eye. The location is perfect if you want to explore the "old" part of the city. The "silence" was not expected, which yields a large added value (=good night sleep). The pickup and drop-off at the airport worked beyond expectations.
The internet connection was not up to standards, but who needs an internet connection during vacation :-) Bring Euros to get the best possible rate.
Great location, great host, comfortable suite make for a pleasurable stay.
Delicious breakfast in stunning riad
The staff. Audrey looked after us so well in guiding us where to go and what to do. She was delightful and really helpful. The other staff were excellent too. This authentic riad was so pretty. The furnishings were good. It was centrally located for everything.
Wonderfull staff and very clean.
Riad Dar Zahia was fantastic- a wonderful peaceful retreat in the heart of a very crazy city! It was a real pleasure to stay here at the end of a busy day and the hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly. Our room was huge and the whole place had real character and was decorated beautifully. Breakfast was great and we had everything we wished for- wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
Everything! We really enjoyed our stay - thank you Riad Anjar!
We stayed a few nights while exploring the medina. Beautiful place, terrace, wifi, lovely staff, great food.
Only downside is not having a pool or dip pool, but the room was so amazing it didn't matter!
The staff are extremely friendly! The hotel was very nice, a good balance between modern and Moroccan traditional
Excellent staff. Audrey and Antonio are great hosts and gave us good tips for going around. The Riad is simply beautiful and relaxing. Breakfasts made us wanting to wake up.
We stayed at Riad Anjar. The place is awesome, a peaceful oasy in the caothic Marrakech. The staff is very nice and Lina is a great person: she welcomed us and gave us a lot of good tips. The Riad is amazing, very clean, peaceful and very well furnished. I deeply recommend this place to everyone in Marrakech!
We really liked this Riad. The owner is very nice and helpful. You can have a delicious breakfast whenever you like, you have a clean room and the hotel has a fantastic incense smell 24 hours a day.
Location is awful for me. There are many people around the world who are amazed by Medina. But, I think is not a good location to stay. Too many seller around you, even if you don't speak or look at them, try to sell something to you. They touch you arms, drive the bikes on to you. It is an exhausting neighborhood.
The riad has been restored to a high standard and captures the beauty of Moroccan architecture. It is hidden away and quiet despite being within five minutes of the main square. It feels special as a place to stay and will especially suit couples .
The riad talks about an annexe building and offers rooms there .it is in fact an entirely different riad some minutes away and lacks the architecture and attraction of the first riad. So be careful what you are bookimg and make it clear you do not wNt to be in the "annexe"
Really helpful, knowledgable staff, beautiful decor, located 5 minute walk from the main square and a fab breakfast served daily! All round excellent value for money and I can't recommend it highly enough!
The riad is steps away from the central square. The decor is beautiful, and the breakfast was great. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable.
It is difficult to find, so use their airport transfer service. We stayed in the first floor, and it is a small riad, so you can hear voices of other guests if they are in the central courtyard.
The architecture was superb. Every room & nook was graceful appointed with authentic furnishings. The staff was very Accommodating. Emmanuella did everything possible to insure our arrival, stay & departure was spot on. It was like we had a private Guide to Marrakech. This riad is a "do not miss." It's an experience that will last a lifetime. Kelly/USA & Gabi/Aust
could not fault anything, the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful, loads of fruit, cake, yogurts and great coffee. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable.
Although no mini bar/fridge we were provided with fresh cold water daily or as required Very good and personal service The décor definately lived up to the pictures which is very rare Definately not disappointed with the riad.
No mini bar/fridge Breakfast wasn't as varied as i would have liked, we were served a continental breakfast (but it was nice) It wasnt the most private of rooms, we would walk out onto the courtyard where breakfast was served which is annoying when other guests have breakfast early. Additionally whilst vents/grates in the bathroom are necessary, when these lead to the courtyard where breakfast is served it can make you a little nervous to use the 'facilities'
The staff were very friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble - great location and close to everything
