The roof terrace, where they serve breakfast, had what must be one of the best views of Chefchaoen. The staff was very friendly and helpful despite some language issues. Breakfast was an enormous spread of breads, jams, tea/coffee. There was a common room at the first level to relax outside of the room as well. The bed was reasonably comfortable.
The hike up the hill to the Riad was a bit steeper than I would have liked. It is also somewhat difficult to find for the first time, even with a map.The bathroom had the smell of sewer from it, though closing the doors helped. The rooms were cold, though a space heater helped there as well. Plenty of blankets for nighttime too. This is more the sign of a summer oriented society that we visited in late November, than any real problem with the hotel. Wifi worked, but was spotty through the thick walls or when a lot of people were in the hotel..
Very nice and hospitable staff. Great room and house decor. Awesome terrace breakfast!
Beautiful views from the roof terrace. Great breakfast. Good location for exploring Chefchouen. Manager very helpful in giving info about getting to Tangier.
A bit hard to get to. As an older person I needed help to get my luggage there.
Dar Zambra was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. It was very clean and well-kept. Our breakfast was ample and delicious. I will stay here again and recommend it to others.
There was a smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. This is pretty typical for Moroccan plumbing. There was a cover for covering the shower drain and we used a cup to cover the sink drain, and then it was fine.
Breakfast was amazing. May food choices on offer. Gracious and attentive host.
A little hard to find. Ask a shop keeper if you get lost.
Staff was very helpful. Room very clean. Views from terrace great. Breakfast, the best in our travels thru Morocco.
Beds were like sleeping on slabs of granite. You had to climb to the top of the medina and with suitcases..not easy.
Friendly staff, view from the terrace.
You can watch great view from roof terrace also good hospitality for staff.
Their staff are still younger ages, so little difficult to communicate by English person by person but they will have potentially possible to grow up English skills for a moment.
- well located - nice rooms - excellent breakfast in the terrasse - nice terrasse overlooking the city
- hard to get to the hotel - we called the manager to get the directions, but he did not send anyone to help us find the hotel in the medinah
The proprietor's effort to please was second to none. They went the extra mile in taking us to a pharmacy on a Sunday by taxi to get some urgent supplies. Its an effort like that which shows true customer service!
This hotel is very tastefully decorated and was our most comfortable stop during our travels in Morocco. The views were great, the breakfast tasty, the beds heavenly. Would love to be there when the wood burners are fired up - very cosy I imagine!
Some of the staff speak very little English or French so communication was a little tricky but we coped!
Beautiful decorated, frendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast at the terrace.
Wi-fi sometimes didn't work. it's not very good if you carry big luggage because you have to climb several stairs.
- Unlike other b&b I could meet other people there - Excellent staff with personal atmosphere - one of the best views of chef - located in the nicest area of the medina
- you get the best view, so you also need to go up the hill a bit, and its not easy to find without some sort of sleazy "free" guide
Loved the mountain view from the window of our room and the roof terrace. It was quiet and peaceful place, also very clean, and we had a lovely breakfast. The staff were kind and friendly and helpful.
The room was very small--hard for two people to step around the bed and each other. Also, it was hard to communicate with the staff, if you didn't know Spanish or Arabic. No one cleaned our room (we were there two nights). And, on our last day no one was up or available to provide breakfast or to check us out (at 8:30 am) even though the night before we specifically requested to check out at this time (in order to catch a bus which we would have missed if it wasn't late leaving as well).
Fantastic Riad, friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great food. Comfortable rooftop area with beautiful views. Very clean.
Inside the City center, awesome place to stay and relax. The terrace it's an awesome spot, with a breathless view top of the city. The stuff they are awesome, helpful and welcoming. The dinner on the terrace was delicious. chapeau
Very customer oriented hotel staff. Inspiring hotel interiors.
Shower area was a bit too dark. Had difficulty in connecting to wi-fi.
Although Chefchaouen is quite small, it took us a bit to find the hotel. But we managed it at the end and received a very warm welcome and fantastic mint tea. The roof terrace has a nice view over the city, the bed in our room was the most comfortable we had in Morocco and the breakfast was great. In addition, the staff was very helpful. So there is nothing negative I could say about this place.
Good location with great terrace! Rooms are clean and good, breakfast is simple but nice and the staff (Jawaad!) were really helpful/good people. Worth visiting.
Wifi a little weak in some spots
Amazing views from the terrace to the old city. Wonderful and big breakfast, very nice hosts.
The property is a bit expensive, but worth it if you want to stay in a tidy place. Also be prepared to climb lots of steps, not the best with heavy suitcases. Location on Google maps is also off.
Roof terrace and views must be the best in the town. Breakfast is delicious and the room was comfortable, clean and tidy. I couldn't speak more highly of the hotel.
Staff were not the most communicative, for example with advice on what to do or how to get around. Also worth noting that it is not easy to find, although without a doubt worth the walk. However, these are minor points on an otherwise wonderful hotel.
The rooftop, the humbleness of the staff.
Not staying longer
The view. As it is located on the top of the hills, you can look down great Chefchaouen town. Also it was nice to have a delicious breakfast on the rooftop. When we got to Hotel Parador, where you can get closest to the hotel, we called Dar Zambra and one of the staff kindly came down to pick us up and helped us the baggage. We really enjoyed our stay in Dar Zambra.
Kindness of the people Lovely Terrasse Beautiful Interior Decent Breakfast I was so happy to stay here alone for 3 nights!
I was satisfied all
