Roof terrace and views must be the best in the town. Breakfast is delicious and the room was comfortable, clean and tidy. I couldn't speak more highly of the hotel.
Staff were not the most communicative, for example with advice on what to do or how to get around. Also worth noting that it is not easy to find, although without a doubt worth the walk. However, these are minor points on an otherwise wonderful hotel.
The rooftop, the humbleness of the staff.
Not staying longer
The view. As it is located on the top of the hills, you can look down great Chefchaouen town. Also it was nice to have a delicious breakfast on the rooftop. When we got to Hotel Parador, where you can get closest to the hotel, we called Dar Zambra and one of the staff kindly came down to pick us up and helped us the baggage. We really enjoyed our stay in Dar Zambra.
The hotel was spacious with charming decor. The best was the gorgeous terrace with stunning view of the city. Jaouad and staff were very friendly and kind.
It's a bit of a hike uphill to arrive to the hotel.
The friendly atmosphere and good taste.
Sound insulation was not great!
I was trying to find something negative about my staying in Chefchouen, and in partically this hotel, but I couldn't find one single negative thing about it. I enjoyed my stay here, and so did my parents. One thing is for sure, I'm definetely going back next year!
ta member of the hotel staff came down to the car parking outside the medina to guide us in - this was really helpful and much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble for our delightful host. the room was great, we were given a choice and the breakfast was very very good.
friendly and kind team rooftop breakfast the building very confortable and traditional room atmosphere
Bathroom amazing Top roof Clean Staff nice
Two single bed To slow to prépare breakfast Not very easy to find
Staff spoke enough English to help and direct as needed. Once you have your bearings it is an easy walk down into the madina.
A photocopy of a map of the madina would be helpful for new arrivals.
Lovely staff and really felt like we were in a local family place who made us very welcome My husbands birthday whilst we were there was a great celebration and nothing was too much trouble
It was a bit of a treck to get bags up there but we were forewarned and were told to call them and someone would come down to help but still it is one if the negatives I would definitely stay there again thou
Staff was wonderful, helpful and kind
Not a thing!
Loved the staff!!!!! Best breakfast we had in Morocco, great location, overall a lovely stay!
Nothing, maybe the poor internet connection.
Friendly staff, great views, terrific breakfast based on local produce.
The Dar begins with a beautiful door. The staff were friendly and found an English speaking member within minutes of arrival. The Dar is small and comfortable. The simple modern furnishings were clean and soothing to the eye. The breakfast was good with a 12 ounce glass of fresh squeezed juice. The rooftop views were beautiful, especially of the full moon. It was a great place to take in the call to prayer.
It was a bit too hot in July for no air conditioning at night. During the day we got a nice cross breeze with our bedroom door open but, of course, could not do this at night. Also, it is Ramadan which means villagers stay up late, including young and noisy children outside and a very loud drummer runs and drums throughout the village from about 1 to 3 AM while a horn is played in the square below. I was told this is to awaken Muslims for their last meal before the day long fast and occurs nightly the entire month (we had a similar experience in Tanger but not in Fes or Marrakech). At 3 AM the air raid siren went off briefly followed by the call to prayer from several loud speakers at each mosque. Then everyone goes to bed and sleeps in a bit. However, there is always someone stirring in the street. This was all very exciting and interesting to us but quite impaired our ability to get enough sleep. There were too many bees trying to share our breakfast.
Beautiful place and great staff! Everything was excellent.
I really enjoyed the beatiful terrace area overlooking the town, the place was very clean an well kept, staff were friendly an it was in a good location right near the beatiful blue streets and shops :)
We all loves this cosy hotel in the Medina, with great views of the mountain and wonderful terrace. Great staff, friendly and very sweet. A really nice find!
Beautiful day and night view from the breakfast roof. Nice and clean rooms.
Very friendly and service minded staff , they treated us in a very personal and warm manner we felt extremely welcome. Location is perfect, quiet and close to all you need in the medina , just 3 minutes walk to the main square . Breakfast at the Terrace are Fantasic. Comon areas very tastefully designed and all very well kept and clean. We highly recommend this hotell.
None all was Fantasic !
Clean and beautiful rooms. Breakfast on the terrace with the nice view is a wonderful way to start the day. Location is good.
Staff were delightful, view from the rooftop terrace was magnificent, decor was tastefully Moroccan.
views galore! from the room and from the terrace. clean. good value for money.
difficult to reach with suitcases (lots of steps!). No shampoo, nor a garbage can in the room. Couldn't have breakfast as we left 30 minutes prior to breakfast being offered
Very charming place to stay, fantastic views from the roof. Great breakfasts. We asked to have dinner made for us to eat on the roof, which we organised and chose what to eat, in the evening a ate a fantastic home cooked meal on the roof-far nicer than the food in town.
Our bathroom was a tad too small and had a slight drain smell. We had the blue on I think the middle floor. I think perhaps it was just this room as our friends bathroom was fine.
This is a charming riad just a few steps away from the center of Chefchaouen. The breakfast was wonderful!
The room (#1) has two twin beds pulled together, but the room size was so small that one of the occupants has to climb over the other to get in or out of bed. A normal double bed would have been a better fit and more practical. The wifi was too weak to use anywhere on the ground floor, and the router kept faulting - we had to reset it constantly during our stay.
