We only encountered two problems, both fairly minor. We were there in December, and the nights were cold. Our two primary space heaters didn't work properly, so we relied on the other two radiator-type heaters, which weren't up to the task, so our first night was chilly. But they got that fixed the next day, and we had plenty of heat for the rest of the stay. Second, the Wi-Fi connection kept dropping. As I say, though, these were minor issues.
This riad is located in the medina, northeast of the souks near Ben Youssef Madrassa. The narrow alleyways leading to it look sketchy, but that's just Marrakech; it's perfectly safe. Upon arrival, we were given four glasses of the best orange juice we'd ever had. Michel, one of the owners, who was very gracious, then offered us food, as we had not eaten anything all day. We went up to the outdoor terrace, where we were given a heaping platter of chicken couscous. . . it was so good! Four of us stayed in the Douria Suite, which is three large rooms including two large bedrooms and a living room, plus a large bathroom. The suite was wonderfully decorated in the Moorish style. there are two women who work there who are available to assist with helping you, bringing you drinks, snacks, whatever you might want. We also had breakfast on the terrace each morning. Simple fare, but tasty. Overall, a wonderful stay in a beautiful riad.
