Extensive breakfast buffet
Many of the furnishings are broken. Appears worn
I recommended. It has perfect location close to Al-Fana Square/ Mousque
Very prestige, kept to a high standard. Good tips from the staff working there regarding getting around and how much to pay. Pleasant and helpful. Sisters first holiday she thoroughly had a great experience. Defo recommend.
The service was excellent with everyone being very helpful.
The upgraded room was functional. The bathroom was badly finished. The seat on the lavatory was broken. The bath was difficult to get into for an elderly person,. Lighting was poor. No literature about the hotel or Marrakesh provided. Map?
Fairly close to shops and restaurants. Also medinah square was a short taxi drive away.
On arrival. Reception staff changed the amount we had to pay from the original booked price. Their reason was that the exchange rate had changed, even though there was a better rate outside of hotel including london.they also wanted payment in euros. Basically they were tryong to make a few pounds through the exchange rate. We refused and after much argument inclufing us saying we will leave, they agreed to the original amount! Then he offered us an 'upgraded room' as our original room was not ready. Gave us room directions with no porter and left us to find the room even though we had a 3 month old baby with us. When we eventually found the room located at the top of a hotel in a dark corridor, it was disgusting! There were exposed electrical wires coming out of the wall sockets near a sink. Flooring was sandy tiles and it was impossible to walk bare feet. The air confitioning was not working and the sofa looked like it was picked up from a rubbish dump and not comfortable to sit on. There were not enough towels for a family of four and we had to keep requesting. The bathroom had loose taps with dirty tiles on wall and floor with mould. We told reception that we didnt like this 'upgrade' and wanted to go to our original booked room. They said that will be arranged tomorrow. Well, when we did get our original room, we were surprised. It was much much better compared to the 'upgraded' room, although there was still no ac or free wifi fir the duration of our stay. The wifi ''was not working' they told us. The other rubbish facility in the hotel was that guests were not allowed to bring outside food and drink in due to customer safety.even though there was a cooker in the room. I wonder what we were supposed to cook if we weren't allowed to bring food from outside?!? Breakast buffet was mediocre and was just about edible with tea, coffee and juice running out if we came an hour before closing time.
The bell boys were so lovely and helpful, this is the ONLY positive point about this hotel.
The staff were incredibly rude, this hotel is NOT a 4 star by UK standards at all. The pool is a joke, it is dirty and gets no sunlight, the rooms are tiny and finishing touches are lacking, well decorated to cover shoddy workmanship. At the end of our stay they tried to charge me around 40eur extra, thinking I wouldnt notice the made up figure at the bottom of my itemised bill. People talk, and this hotel is notorious for scamming people, the first night we were shipped off to another hotel which was even worse (and much cheaper) due to 'water damage' - apparently they have had daily water damage for the last year as this has been used time and time again as an excuse to move people to crap hotels to recover costs. Overall I would never suggest thus hotel and their incompetence ruined my entire holiday.
They aloud us to stay with 3 kids in the junior suite. Excellent wifi in the room
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful except one.
One breakfast waiter after we politely complained about lack of hot water for tea, was arrogant and unpleasant for the remainder of our stay.
They tidied our room every day. Easy to find, every taxi driver knew where this hotel was. hot and cold water in the bathroom. breakfast was okay
I wouldn't stay again 1) clean but old bedsheets and towels 2) no view from the room (38 and 35) windows look into another building 3) 30 min walk from Medina (not a pleasant walk) 4) the water in the shower was coming from both tap and showever head all at once, as a result water not going away too quickly 5) they offered a dinner which was double the price if you were to eat outside (scammers) 6) if you can avoid staying here then do so...
Value for money and location
For the money paid no complaints
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The spa in hotel was not 4*, it wasn't clean and they did not have products available to provide customers with treatments. Breakfast at restaurant wasn't great... Didn't eat in the restaurant at all.
Everything about this hotel is fantastic!
Generally we were quite happy with everything. The room was just amazing, the breakfast was also perfect and the staff was nice, obliging to help and accomodating ( apart from one of the guys at the reception who was quite annoyed to advice ). The SPA was quite expensive though.
the hotel was in walking distance to the center, very nicely furnished and with rich breakfast
althought being very posh, the hotel was not very clean. we did not receive towels and soaps etc even after the request. the breakfast early in the morning was yesterday's leftovers.
Good location, clean and nice comfy bed. Breakfast was okay no usual cooked breakfast only scrambled eggs. Only had white bread. Probably good standard for morocco but lacking in.my opinion. Hotel has a basic gym.
Hotel staff polite and helpful but not willing to go out their way to please. I asked for some milk for the room and got charged. They give you a coffee machine but charge you to use it. I tea making facilities. You are not allowed to buy nibbles to take into the hotel and the guard on the door will check your shopping if he suspects you have!!
The hotel is situated in a good ares. Staff were really nice and attentive. Was really pleased of the tips that one of the boys in the bar gave us, unfortunately do not remember his name.
The wi-fi wasn't with a good quality. The bathroom wasn't very clean and although i asked someone to clean it / someone was send straight away/, they told me that its worn off and not dirty. Which wasnt true cause i could of clean it. The toiletThe other thing that i really didnt like is that i asked reception to book a taxy for us on arrival, which was done but was extremely expensive in comparison with what the usual rate is.
The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Many went out of their way to help and engage appropriately friendly way with clients. One evening we asked if we could have our supper (the restaurant menu not the bar one) in the bar area, the staff were great really accommodating and we had lovely meal. The location was pretty much perfect for my visit. I was upgraded to a junior suite, which was nice, having an extra room and space for sitting and relaxing in.
One male member of staff on Reception was always unhelpful and unapproachable. The poor shower, pressure fine but it sprayed all over. Poor fitting shower door which meant the whole bathroom was awash. Also it would be difficult to access the shower if I were a bigger person or say pregnant as the space to step into the bath/shower was small and the glass door was fixed.
well situated near the ave Mohammed V main street of Mkesh, a couple of good restaurants around the area, 20 min walk to the Djema el Fna, easy acces to airport, small shop on site, friendly staff, gave me an upgrade into a suite
floor level quite noisy, lousy breakfast- no taste at all-went there only once, outdoor swimming pool is a bathtube-not for use,
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The massage which we had at the spa was very relaxing and they used argan oil which was very nice.
The plates and cutlery were always dirty at breakfast time. The breakfast menu does not change so if you do not enjoy scrambled eggs then you will not eat. When we were there, they said they were in the process of changing their menu so many food items were not available on the menu - which is very limited to begin with. This place is not for food lovers.
Upgraded to a junior seat for free, very spacious room, decent location not far from city centre
Wifi was very slow
Wifi, personal !!!
Big spacious rooms. Quiet.
They first gave us a room that was not cleaned from the prior guests that was a smoking room. They changed it immediately but it was upsetting and another trip to the front desk. The internet was very slow and kept dropping. Breakfast was plentiful but no fresh fruit.
You are not allowed to take any food or drink bought from outside the hotel in your room. (Why is there a kitchen in the junior suite then?) Poor Wi-Fi on the 5th floor (drops out every few minutes).
Location is not far from centre of city and Medina.
Not really a 4 star hotel! Old building, old furnitures and sanitary units needing refurbishment.
