The staff was not helpful at all!!! They found it amusing to ship me and my other 6 friends to another fake 'hotel' (the best way to describe it would be a HOLE - messy and disgusting place). We asked to talk with their hotel manager but we've been told that the manager is not there (after 5 minutes another employee confirmed that the manager was in the kitchen). We've been lied all the time and we've been fed up with their twisted game. I won't repeat the mistake to book with booking.com ever again!!!
Avoid this hotel if you want to have a great holiday!!! Nothing!!!!!
Room - Junior Suite: The rooms look like they were last maintained in 1975. Everything is old and broken. Breakfast - Stale, old, poor quality + selection. Enough said. Free Wifi - Does not work. Just a tick in the box to say they offer it. Spa - Very expensive treatments, lots of the facility is old and broken. Steam room looks like a gas chamber. Hotel Staff - Incompetent, unfriendly. Save your money, book ANYWHERE ELSE.
I like nothing about this hotel. Checking out and never returning was the best thing about my stay.
They were doing work in the hotel so on our first night told us they have no rooms. Then shipped us of (6 people in 5 seats) to another hotel that was absolutely disgraceful. Staff treated us poorly and could only speak English when they had to tell us something...
After screwing up our first night, we had to fight and finally "negotiated" a suite. These suites were at least a little better.
I've arrived there on a Sunday evening with a group of 9 friends. We were shocked to find out that they had no rooms to accommodate all of us and they shipped 6 of us to a dodgy hotel(very messy, far away from our friends and from the city). It is worth specifying that the staff was very rude with us and they were even laughing when they told us that they don't have any more rooms left. I would never repeat the mistake of booking with them or with www.booking.com . The word to describe the whole experience would be DISAPPOINTING. They ruined our holiday !!!!
Avoid at all costs. Poor finish on rooms, poor and non existent WIFI, you cannot bring in your own food or drink even if you are in a suite which has kitchen facilities, rude door staff who do not smile for any reason, off loaded to another hotel on first night to a bad B&B by UK standards, poor breakfast, one lift that takes an hour to arrive, ....would not stay here ever again and stay if you want to start your holiday with misery!!!
Getting out of there!
We booked a number of rooms only to be told once we have completed all the forms that they had no rooms and we would be sent to another equivalent hotel. This was not the case and what I can only describe as a poor mans holiday express. Disgusting. Also when informed of this, the staff member thought it was quite funny and had the most ridiculous smile on his face whilst informing us of this. In total, it took us over 3 hours to check in to our `motel` Avoid at all costs!!
The proximity of hotel to the medina, the majority of staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent hotel, great room, service and hospitality of the staff above excellence. We had an amazing stay, would definitely go back there and highly recommend;)
The staff wasn't not very kind. They tried to apply the exchange rate higher than the official one. I asked to call for me a taxi but they told me that they provide a taxi for 20 euro when the rate was 7 euro outside. They refused to call for me a taxi
The location is not bad
Everytime we had shower, the floor became wet. The shower curtain failed its purpose. We ended up using the extra towels to dry the wet floor.
The staffs r accommodating and helpful. Plus the bed & pillows r comfortable & condusive for sleeping.
Many of the furnishings are broken. Appears worn
Extensive breakfast buffet
I recommended. It has perfect location close to Al-Fana Square/ Mousque
Very prestige, kept to a high standard. Good tips from the staff working there regarding getting around and how much to pay. Pleasant and helpful. Sisters first holiday she thoroughly had a great experience. Defo recommend.
The upgraded room was functional. The bathroom was badly finished. The seat on the lavatory was broken. The bath was difficult to get into for an elderly person,. Lighting was poor. No literature about the hotel or Marrakesh provided. Map?
The service was excellent with everyone being very helpful.
On arrival. Reception staff changed the amount we had to pay from the original booked price. Their reason was that the exchange rate had changed, even though there was a better rate outside of hotel including london.they also wanted payment in euros. Basically they were tryong to make a few pounds through the exchange rate. We refused and after much argument inclufing us saying we will leave, they agreed to the original amount! Then he offered us an 'upgraded room' as our original room was not ready. Gave us room directions with no porter and left us to find the room even though we had a 3 month old baby with us. When we eventually found the room located at the top of a hotel in a dark corridor, it was disgusting! There were exposed electrical wires coming out of the wall sockets near a sink. Flooring was sandy tiles and it was impossible to walk bare feet. The air confitioning was not working and the sofa looked like it was picked up from a rubbish dump and not comfortable to sit on. There were not enough towels for a family of four and we had to keep requesting. The bathroom had loose taps with dirty tiles on wall and floor with mould. We told reception that we didnt like this 'upgrade' and wanted to go to our original booked room. They said that will be arranged tomorrow. Well, when we did get our original room, we were surprised. It was much much better compared to the 'upgraded' room, although there was still no ac or free wifi fir the duration of our stay. The wifi ''was not working' they told us. The other rubbish facility in the hotel was that guests were not allowed to bring outside food and drink in due to customer safety.even though there was a cooker in the room. I wonder what we were supposed to cook if we weren't allowed to bring food from outside?!? Breakast buffet was mediocre and was just about edible with tea, coffee and juice running out if we came an hour before closing time.
Fairly close to shops and restaurants. Also medinah square was a short taxi drive away.
The staff were incredibly rude, this hotel is NOT a 4 star by UK standards at all. The pool is a joke, it is dirty and gets no sunlight, the rooms are tiny and finishing touches are lacking, well decorated to cover shoddy workmanship. At the end of our stay they tried to charge me around 40eur extra, thinking I wouldnt notice the made up figure at the bottom of my itemised bill. People talk, and this hotel is notorious for scamming people, the first night we were shipped off to another hotel which was even worse (and much cheaper) due to 'water damage' - apparently they have had daily water damage for the last year as this has been used time and time again as an excuse to move people to crap hotels to recover costs. Overall I would never suggest thus hotel and their incompetence ruined my entire holiday.
The bell boys were so lovely and helpful, this is the ONLY positive point about this hotel.
They aloud us to stay with 3 kids in the junior suite. Excellent wifi in the room
One breakfast waiter after we politely complained about lack of hot water for tea, was arrogant and unpleasant for the remainder of our stay.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful except one.
I wouldn't stay again 1) clean but old bedsheets and towels 2) no view from the room (38 and 35) windows look into another building 3) 30 min walk from Medina (not a pleasant walk) 4) the water in the shower was coming from both tap and showever head all at once, as a result water not going away too quickly 5) they offered a dinner which was double the price if you were to eat outside (scammers) 6) if you can avoid staying here then do so...
They tidied our room every day. Easy to find, every taxi driver knew where this hotel was. hot and cold water in the bathroom. breakfast was okay
For the money paid no complaints
Value for money and location
The spa in hotel was not 4*, it wasn't clean and they did not have products available to provide customers with treatments. Breakfast at restaurant wasn't great... Didn't eat in the restaurant at all.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Everything about this hotel is fantastic!
Generally we were quite happy with everything. The room was just amazing, the breakfast was also perfect and the staff was nice, obliging to help and accomodating ( apart from one of the guys at the reception who was quite annoyed to advice ). The SPA was quite expensive though.
althought being very posh, the hotel was not very clean. we did not receive towels and soaps etc even after the request. the breakfast early in the morning was yesterday's leftovers.
the hotel was in walking distance to the center, very nicely furnished and with rich breakfast
Hotel staff polite and helpful but not willing to go out their way to please. I asked for some milk for the room and got charged. They give you a coffee machine but charge you to use it. I tea making facilities. You are not allowed to buy nibbles to take into the hotel and the guard on the door will check your shopping if he suspects you have!!
Good location, clean and nice comfy bed. Breakfast was okay no usual cooked breakfast only scrambled eggs. Only had white bread. Probably good standard for morocco but lacking in.my opinion. Hotel has a basic gym.
